My first visit to villa Bellini was for a special double birthday celebration last night. My family and I made reservations for 5 pm. When we arrived the table was ready and the hostess seated us right away. I had been to this location many years back when it was tio Pepe and then ceviche but had not yet visited it as villa Bellini. The environment felt very similar to how it ways was; chic yet homey and relaxing The menu here consists of a very extensive variety of Italian items. I just went to Italy a few months ago yet had never heard of most of the dishes they had on the menu. I assure you, this is no Olive Garden, its authentic Italian. They offer everything from traditional ravioli to surf and turf. We started off with a glass of sparkling moscato wine while glancing at the menu. It was hard to decide what to get. I was debating between classic linguine and clams or papardelle Martine. The server recommended the second one so I decided to break out of my comfort zone and go for it. The menu advertises that the entrees included salad, potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For the first course we were given fresh bread with dipping sauce and our salads. All were excellent. However when the meal arrived we discovered the side items are only included with the non pasta entrees (seafood, steak, etc). This was a bit misleading as the menu made it seem as though all orders included those sides. Anywho, the dish I ordered was a long, thick pasta with a cream of coconut sauce, sliced strawberries, arugula and shrimp. It was very rich and filling due to the cream sauce. The flavor was a bit too sweet for my preference but not bad overall. I was disappointed that only 3 shrimp were given. Seemed quite skimpy considering the price. Part of me wished I had stuck with the classic linguine and clams. Throughout the experience our server and the food runners continued to check in as needed. The service was not lacking by any means. The server boxed up our leftovers and retuned Them to the table when he was done doing so We finished up our dining experience with a slice of limoncello cake and cappuccinos. The cake was fabulous, light and citrusy while not being overly sweet. Overall it was a nice experience for a special occasion. However being that the prices were a bit high for an everyday meal (in my opinion) and the food was only "okay" I would give a 3 stars overall. Would I go back? Possibly, but Im not in any rush

A Polish restaurant with Middle Eastern decor? Florida, you confuse me but sometimes in a good way. We went in on our last night in Flroida as Denver does not have any Polish restaurants and we love Polish food. We ordered the 2 for 30 platter and another order of periogis for the kids. The boofed the periogi order by not giving us potato and potato & cheddar... but our waitress fixed that and a few minutes later my one kids-who-hates-cheddar had her food. The sampler itself is a very good deal for a lot of food. Ill break down our dinner item by item: Soup: I had the borscht which if you like beets you will like. My wife had the chicken lentil soup, which by any measure was excellent. Platter: 6 potato and cheddar periogis (which were okay), 2 potato pancakes (excellent), pork schnitzel (very good), cabbage roll (I liked it she did not) and a kielbasa sausage with sauerkraut (best thing on the plate). Desert: We had the apple cake and Black White (poppy seed cheese cake). The apple cake tasted like it had been in cold storage for a little bit too long the crust was mushy and stale tasting. The poppy seed cheesecake was well received by all of us (and I dislike poppy seed as a normal rule). Our waitress was funny but professional. She fixed the one issue we had immediately. Over all I wish the pierogis would have been better, they needed to be cooked a little more to make the dough a little bit more carmelized. That said we all enjoyed our final dinner in Florida here and were happy with the food. If I roll back into Clearwater or Tampa Ill go back. There is also a Polish market in the store, while we did not buy anything I did note the prices were reasonable for such specialized food stuffs.

A bit of a unique decor which features Egyptian inscribed floor tile and lights, a Horus statue, a wagon wheel light, and Italian chef sculptures? Add to that faux alligator wrapped booth tables and faux alligator upholstered seating. It doesnt make sense but for them it works in a quirky sort of way. On a third of the restaurant full Saturday night, not enough menus to provide our group. Had to wait for other patrons to give up their menus which added about 20-25 minutes. Ordered our food and it took quite awhile. A couple chicken schnitzels served with canned mushroom and diced potato white gravy with yellow rice and a cucumber salad. A kielbasa sausage plate with potato pierogi, and a gelupke sp? (A cabbage roll made of ground meat and rice) and pierogi entrée. Options for kids limited to three choices, really wish places offered a kids version of the ethnic fare and maybe a couple American dishes (yes the ubiquitous Mac and cheese is served). Overall the gravy for the schnitzels was disappointing but the schnitzels were crisp and cooked well. The gelupke was good but the pierogi were not so hot. Also there is a small market as part of the restaurant which has a cold case and a variety of dry goods and canned items. You dont find Polish restaurants much in Florida, but maybe it would serve you better to try some of the good German restaurants nearby in Largo.

Very good and testy food. Polecam wszystkim Polakom odpoczywajacym na Florydzie. Osoba pracujaca w kuchni moze smialo konkurowac z umiejetnosciami Magdy Gessler. Juz dawno nie jadlam tak dobrych domowych polskich dan. Pierogi wysmienite, a golabki i nalesniki palce lizac. Jak dawno nie jadles domowych plackow ziemniaczanych? Wstap tam. Gratuluje wlascicielom

The food is good. Authentic polish food and great dessert. Why not more stars ? First the restaurant has no real style - if one like from Egypt but no real atmosphere. Just put in some pictures from Europe but it is somehow very dark and strange. Minus one star. Food is good but EXPENSIVE . 12.99 up is price you can charge with a view of the ocean but not for a busy, noisy intersection. Minus one star. Delicious Dessert for 7.13 is too expensive. The waitress was nice but only one there. If you spend 15 USD up for a meal then you should have good service. She did what she could but serving, taking orders, getting the check, sitting patrons is too much for one person for the entire restaurant and I am paying for these services. I got the cake while I was still eating the meal and before I could even start with the dessert the check was served.. That costs a star. The water refill took ten minutes... If this is burger diner for 7.99 fine but for these prices ONE person for the entire restaurant is too little

The decor is not in fitting with a Polish restaurant, and the background music is annoying. Customer service is hit or miss. HOWEVER, these are the best pierogies Ive ever had since my grandmother was still alive. The peirogies come boiled, unless you specify you would like them pan fried, which does take a little longer. My personal favorites are the meat ones and the potato and cheddar. For dessert, I recommend the chocolate tuxedo bomb. Additionally, there is a deli in the back of the restaurant with a freezer section. Which means you can either take additional pierogies home to cook later after your meal, or if you want to cook at home, you can go in, grab a couple frozen packages and take them back home. I usually keep several packages in my freezer. Also, theyve recently started delivering on the Foodnow website, which will deliver to your home.
