My wife and I are big fans of Indian food. We relocated to the area from out of state and have been methodically trying Indian restaurants, in the hopes of finding one that could rival our old favorite. We tried Memories of India today and its the best Indian food we have ever had. She had the Chana Masala and it was rich and tasty. I had the Chicken Korma and it was creamy, and had a depth of flavor to be envied by every Indian restaurant. Both came with Naan and an absolutely delightful rice made with saffron, bay leaf, cardamom and other spices that gave it a light, almost fruity taste . I swear to you at one point I just laughed out loud at how good everything tasted. Its been a while since I had food so good that it made me this happy to experience it. To the folks at Memories of India: Thank you for giving us such a great meal, we just became lifelong customers.

I ordered the appetizer portion of Lamb Sheekh Kabob twice from Memories of India and I was charged 8.95$ each time. Today I ordered the Lamb Sheekh Kabob in the same way I used to order earlier, I was charged 18.95$. When I asked them why I have been charged 18.95$, they told me that you should have mentioned specifically that you need an appetizer portion of Lamp Sheekh Kabob. I really didnt know there was a Lamp Sheekh Kabob in the main course. How come one can know that there is another entry under the main course category. They should have asked us whether we need an appetizer portion or main course when they took our order. I dont feel to eat the Lamp Sheekh Kabob now. Feeling disappointed.

The food was delicious, which helped to overshadow the poor service and run down aesthetic of the place. Im not sure if its under new management, for my experience several years ago was one equal to the quality of the food...my experience this evening was waiting 15 minutes before even getting served water, and another 15 until we were even asked what we would like to order. The food came out fairly fast, but was in a rush thrown on the table. I could understand if the restaurant was packed, but there was maybe 5 tables, and the two servers seemed to not have a clue as to what they were doing. All in all... delicious food, but embarrassingly bad service, and run down restaurant.

Their chicken rolls are one of the best ones Ive had in my life. Thats including the ones Ive had in India too. One of the most authentic Indian food you can get in states. Other than this: Some staff are really friendly and can make your experience an excellent one. Service is quick, dont remember anytime I had to wait longer than I expected. Tried ordering on phone and that was exactly on time that they told me. Little expensive than most Indian food places. But I think its worth it. Best part, I love that they when you ask them to make food spicy - they actually increase all the spices in ratio unlike most places Ive been to who usually just add chilly powder.

The food was really good and the staff friendly. My visit was soured by my desert unfortunately. With my meal I got a desert choice or either Rice pudding or Mango ice cream, I choose the Rice pudding however was not informed it had almonds in it which I have an allergy to and consumed a bit of before I realized it. The staff seemed very apologetic however they simply offered me a "hope you feel better" and gave me my bill. Honestly I did like this place and will be returning to hopefully have a better experience in the future. They just need to be much more open about if their food contains typical allergens.

Good Indian restaurants are really hard to find because so many claim to know how to cook Indian cuisine but not this place. The food here is excellent, so tasty and spices are right on target. Wonderful restaurant to visit and the staff is extremely friendly, professional, very courteous as well as helpful. Im so thankful we live right around the block from here having just bought a new home in town. This will be our new Indian cuisine restaurant we will be proud to bring our family to and we wont have to drive very far in fact we can actually walk the distance. (Well, wheelchair the distance lol.)

The food was great but the service ruined it. My wife ordered a dish with mild seasoning and I ordered mine medium. They mixed them up and made hers the hot one. So we told our waiter and he agreed and took it to the back. A few minutes later he came back and asked my wife to order something else because the chef was upset and would not remake it. My wife said I'll just eat some of his(mine) because I ordered the same dish as hers just lamb instead of chicken. So the waiter never came back after that. First and last time there.

Best Indian restaurant in all of Orlando for sure and one of the best anywhere. Ive been going to Memories of India for 7 years and have always been impressed with the food and service. Their papadums and chutneys are the best around, Chana masala is my favorite, unbelievable tikka masala, chicken korma & bitter chicken, too. Kevin, Andrew and John are gracious hosts - the service is impeccable, they always take care of us. If you havent tried Memorie of India, youre missing out.

This place should be called memories of incredible food. The table bread is crispy, spicy paper thin flat bread that mixes well with available condiments. The menu consists of vegetarian, chicken and lamb, all are fun, exciting, perfected dishes with tons of flair. These items are spiced as much with the ingredients delicate interactions as much, if not more than the spices youd expect. If your dining in Lk. Mary, youd be pressed to find a better restaurant than this.

We called ahead to order food and were given a 30 minute wait time. We get there only 5 minutes later and plan on waiting out the rest of the time. Over an hour later we get our food. They know their wait time. They just deliberately gave a false wait time to get us in the door. After 30 or or 40 minutes, who would leave? I dont do well with people who have a complete disregard for anothers time. How does the food taste? No idea. Im still sitting here waiting for it.

This is best Indian food weve had thus far. The staff was attentive and genuinely nice, the food was excellent, we enjoyed the Bollywood movie and Indian music, the food was priced very fairly, our two waiters were super sweet to our two year old and the portions were HUGE. We went at 1:45 on a weekday. We ordered Aloo Palak, Chana Masala, Chicken Shahi Korma and Mutter Paneer. All of this came with plenty of rice, Naan, Roti and raita. We will definitely return.

I drove 30 min to try them because they have really good reviews but then when I placed my order, they misunderstood what I ordered and wouldnt swap it out. I got all the way home to realise they didnt give me my entree l, CTM and apparently dont know what that stands for (chicken tikka masala) I asked for it by name and even though I offered to drive the whole way back and switch it out they would not. Will not be going back here. Naan seemed dry too :(
