Good food ... possibly great food. Not Tandoori or Kashmiri style. Unique flavoring. Nice. HOWEVER, the food will cost well above what you would pay elsewhere for good quality Indian or Pakistani cuisine in a walk-in, tables are always available restaurant. The menu is arranged by dish. You order a dish of this, and you order a dish of that. Normal for this genre of restaurant. However, my experience is that by dish menus have items that cost $7-10, not $11-14 ... AND Nan bread and a generous amount of rice is automatically included without extra charge. The rice was included and the Nan was good but extra. The Chai tea was also good but double the cost elsewhere. My bill was about $74 for what I would normally pay $40-45. Yes, this is a tourist area. No there does not seem to be hardly any other Indian or Pakistani or Afghani restaurants in the area. Again, the food was very good but the price puts it out of range for me to stop by weekly should I live in the area. Eating at south Asian restaurants is something that happens several times a week in my family.

Apologize for the pictures...I decided to do review after I started eating. On our trip to Orlando, I wanted to eat something spicy. Taste of Punjab had 4.1 score on Google Reviews. I decided to try. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Vegetable Curry and Garlic Nan for take-out. Chicken Biryani is one of the best I have had in a restaurant. Generally when you order Chicken Biryani in any restaurant in USA or in Canada, you get a Drumstick or a thigh or both and Biryani rice. But here they cooked chicken in smaller bite size pieces with rice, as you would normally see in any South Indian restaurant in India. Rice was well seasoned with right amount of spices cooked to perfection. They serve Biryani with Raita. Garlic Nan was out of this world. Vegetable curry done nice and served with Basmati rice. We wanted to buy Papad (thin & flat, crispy & crunchy, sundried wafer eaten as accompaniment with a meal), but they gave us for free as it is about closing time. It cost only under $30. If I am ever in Orlando again, I would certainly visit them.

I cant describe how terrible the food was. I went to dine in once with my family and we ordered Mutter Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and two Naan. The Mutter Paneer tasted like it was for a different customer but they served it to me. And the Naan wasnt hot it was cold. The Chicken Tikka Masala was mixed with another curry meal it didnt taste like Chicken Tikka Masala. We left and I came back a week later to try a takeout for then to redeem themselves. So we ordered for takeout and when we arrived at the hotel the food smelt bad and they didnt cook the food right. So I went back to the restaurant to return the food. I recommend you not to go to this restaurant for you not to waste your money.

Went in after reading reviews. I am stunned how did this restaurant got 5 stars. Servers were friendly but service was pathetic..it was extremely slow ...when I say Extreme...it means Extreme!!!! No water was refilled even once! No courtesy to ask if anything else is needed. The quantity was little less and pricey! When requested for a quick service as we had small hungry kids..the answer was you are in queue ..you will be served once your ticket is picked up! We wanted to order more but this whole response made us leave...I mean we are hungry, sitting and waiting for half of the order ..the food was getting cold ! Atleast serve the food! Also hire more people! Not worth!

I recently (12/17/12) had dinner with my family at "Taste of Punjab" in Kissimee, Orlando FL after reading excellent reviews on Google(mobile). I and my family were very disapponted. The decor is very poor (do not even think about going to use rest room), service is extremely poor. I had to wait 30-45 minutes for the food. It was very salty and there was no authenticity of INDIAN food. The butter chicken had gravy made out of canned tomato sauce. After waiting 30-45 minutes, I was served dinner and I found that there was no serving spoon in the butter chicken. After asking twice to different hostesses we received one. I would not recommend anyone to this restaurant.

This restraunt is too good,I know ppl usually will be sceptical to try indian food in tourist places and am one among them too but this proved my imagination wrong, the food is yummy, very fast delivery and very very friendly staff and they are preparing to our taste and making spicy if needed for elders on special request and less for kids, the best part is after tiring theme park trip on the 2nd day we got to know about there delivery services and they were right on time,my favorites here are paneer mehthi malai and mango lassi one of the best i tasted till now,I would definitely go again and would recommend for others and big thumbsup for this restaurant

We went there on a late sunday evening. There were not many people and the food came quickly which was good. However, the waitress had some problem understanding the order so somethings were not what I asked for. We asked for mild spicy food for our 3 year old kid but the food turned out to be too spicy even after we stressed quite heavily that it should be a non spicy meal. The food quality was lower than average. I live in jersey so I am used to much better quality Indian food. Last but not the least, I find it very upsetting and unsettling to walk into a restaurant and find a stinking restroom with water/whatever all over the floor. Avoid if you can.

I live in Orlando and have been to several Indian Restaurants around International Drive and Sand Lake Road. After reading the reviews on Taste of Punjab in Kissimmee, I decided to take my friends there. The food was better than at most places. Most restaurants have a few good dishes and others are mediocre. Here all the dishes were well made. Indian restaurants are notorious for poor service and I do not have high expectations but i felt the service was decent here. The interiors do not make for an upscale dining experience but it is not shabby either. My friends liked it too and I will be returning but i wish it was closer to where i live.
