Are people being paid to write good reviews? This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I was humiliated that I suggested dining here to my boyfriends family. Having eaten Indian food on a regular basis for several years now, I feel as if I could safely say that this place should not be in business. The purpose of a restaurant-- any restaurant-- is to serve pleasant, delicious, or excitingly delectable cuisine in an appropriate setting. Ataj serves slightly warm, almost cold and horribly bland ( when not atrociously mis-seasoned) food in a condescending atmosphere. During our experience, several people walked out, and we wanted to do the same! The food was so poor that I went back after the meal to complain. I was told thst the problems only related to today, but looking on here, it seems as if its a chronic issue. Every bad review on here is true, and they do not have many return customers-- we spoke to some other diners, and everyone said that they had never dined there before and would never dine there again; They thrive on people staying at hotels nearby. Also, please believe that it is very hard to mess up naan, fruit, or rice! These people have made a policy out of being bad. Do not give them any custom at all.

This place is not good.. Me and my wife just walked out without eating anything as we sat down we order two glasses of wine and waiter never came back so i went to the bar myself to see what happenedand with my order was told the guy forgot.I ask if they can open a fresh bottle and was assured they are going to open a fresh one for us as i turned back to proceed towards my table waiter poured the old wine and approached our table,so i asked why he poured me an old wine his response was totally rude and obvious one and told me that was from a new bottle so both me and my wife walked out. I will never go back to this location ever again and will advise all my friend in Orlando to avoid Ataj all together... Me and wife went to another Indian restaurant down the street called New Punjab and had a great Dinner !!! Please avoid this place at all cost..

We visited on our trip to disney world. Travelled 15 kms in a cab from our resort to eat at an indian joint. First of all one of their server who brought the menu didnt speak english, so u cant ask questions. Second, their tandoor was broken so they said we couldnt order breads.... which did change. So while we were on our last scoop, they brought us two naans. What makes me give them one star! You may wonder..... well, the fact that we are vegetarian and ordered shahi paneer but alas found pieces of chicken in it, which was absolutely unacceptable but the restaurant servers felt saying "sorry about that" was just enough!! Not trusting a place like this.

a must visit for a warm experience.. a clean cozy place with some fun bollywood music playing in the background.... simple yet good indian food .. We ordered a Matar Paneer with Tandoori Rotis with Kachumbar Salad .. paneer was not as soft as it should be but that didnt affect the taste . a mild tomato and peas gravy served with a complimentary White steamed rice and Raita.. you can inform the server in advance if u want a medium or spicy gravy. the host and servers all welcoming and Wil keep checking on ur needs.. overall pleasant experience..

Ataj has a very warm and welcoming staff, not mention their all you can eat lunch buffet. Great options for vegetarians and pescatarians. Id definitely visit again. All the ingredients were fresh. I could tell because the peas were slightly firm. The mushroomsecond were solid and the string beans had a snap fresh taste. Ill admit I didnt want to come but it was recommended by the welcome center and it was raining. Good thing for both. I had a bad experience with idian food before. But Im in love... Caribbean background too

Excellent family restaurant that serves quality and fast service. Their buffet has a variety of delicious choices including Chicken Tikka Masala, either Goat or Chicken Biriyani, and other vegetarian options. The dishes have a very high quality and fine detail. Their Naan is fantastic and as I mentioned the service is top notch. Their buffet is open until 3pm and the restaurant is decorated in a finely appointed design. Highly recommended from a loyal customer!

This location is big inside and decorated beautifully. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. I tried a dish that Ive never tried in my home town a much as I eat Indian. Tandoori chicken had a very good mix of spices. The flavor was great. Also tried the Kadhai chicken and I couldnt stop eating it. Prices were a little much but probably because right in the heart of vacation area. Really enjoyed this restaurant.

We went there twice for our meal as it was close from our hotel. We absolutely loved the meal and service and also very good value . The waiters ( probably one was manger ) are very friendly and they were always checking if we needed anything and if everything was ok ! And the place is very clean . We staying 2 more days might go for lunch before we go back home ;)

The restaurant is clean, tidy, and modern. The service was good too. I am a vegetarian and I ordered 3 dishes...Mushroom Manchurian, Paneer Tikka, and Veg Jalfrezi. The manchow soup was not very good either. I was not impressed with the flavor or texture for the vege options. This restaurant is probably more for the tourist taste than the authentic Indian taste.

This Hotel has been a disappointment, we ordered Chicken Biryani and Manchow soup. Chicken rice was undercooked and raita was very salty. Manchow soup was also very salty. Not worth my money. I aint coming back here again. Staff was gracious enough for charging us for soup and even made a fresh to-go soup, without asking for it.

We walked to this restaurant from our hotel and decided to try Indian food since we never had before. The waiter was very helpful and suggested several delicious entrees for us to try. If you have never had Indian food, dont hesitate to give this place a try!
