Upon entering, I saw just a couple of hints to provide a glimmer of hope for a good experience. The linen table cloths and napkins gave enough hope to stay, but it was all down from there. The first noticeable thing was the atmosphere. Everything was very dated and not warm in the least. The monochromatic paint paled against the shocking blue vinyl booths and chair seats. The hanging light fixtures were outdated in 1983. And the items adorning the walls were nothing more than holes in the Peach color of the walls. When we entered, a woman buzzed by us to reception counter, grabbed something and disappeared in a blur. Obviously busy, I could understand that we would need to wait, bit I did expect at least a warm, sincere greeting. If not that a cursory, "Hello. Ill be right with you," would have sufficed. The chairs were terribly uncomfortable. There was, for just the briefest moment, a whisper of music, but it quickly became imperceptible above the moderate din. We waited an abnormally long time before glimpsing our server. She was just okay. Not particularly friendly but seemingly able to provide service. The menu was light, especially concerning appetizers, but all the standard Italian offerings were there. My husband ordered lasagne and I chose the baked canelloni, (the description of which sounded amazing!) The salad was bare minimum, but the rolls were delicious; Fairly crusty with a hot, soft center. The only drawback there is the wrapped butter pats (tacky). Dinner took a little while, but the wait was not terrible. When dinner arrived, I was again filled with hope. Our baked dishes were bubbling hot and covered in golden delicious-looking cheese. After sufficiently cooling, I was looking forward to digging into a hearty, wonderful dinner, but my hopes were quickly diminished. The stuffing in the canneloni can only Dr described as pasty. The veal, chicken and cheese were pureed into a baby-foos paste that tasted no better than kindergarten craft paste. Even the pasta was doughy. I ate only a few bites and the cheese off the top. I didnt even take the remains home for my dogs. My husbands dinner was not much better, though he ate his. It still escapes me how food as easy as Italian cuisine can be so unappetizing. The service, like the music, disappeared into the abyss. We barely saw our server. I never even knew her name. There was no great catastrophe. I have no axe to grind, no bone to pick. It was just a terrible dining experience. We will not return .

The best mom & pop Italian joint in Jacksonville. Found it by accident and so glad we did. All sauces and breads are homemade. Service was great! Atmosphere is exactly what youd expect, and thats a good thing. I could picture this place in my hometown of Youngstown, OH! So happy its in Jax! If you love small town Italian, you will find it here.

The food was good, though not exceptional. What was exceptional was the time everything took to arrive. For a table of 3, 1 appetizer, 2 salads, 3 entree s, we didnt waste time eating, but it took nearly 3 hours start to finish. Any similar place and meal would have been half the time. S L O W service, with good but not great food.

The interior is quaint & sweet. The service was excellent. The bread was warm. The wine was smooth. The menu is limited to white pasta only. The side of Angel hair pasta thats served with entrees only has 2 tablespoons of sauce. The eggplant parmesan was large with lots of cheese. The salad was fresh with a variety of ingredients.

Crappy little plaza, and dark and ominous drapes indicates half decent food cooked by some Mexican lady. WRONG! This place is a diamond in a rough. The place is bigger inside that you would think, cozy, warm, and fu...g AMAZING food. It was like crack. First time here, but Ill be back. Wow!

The seafood was cooked perfectly. The sauce was delicious and fresh, fresh basil! The staff was wonderful and even the patrons there were polite and well dressed. I can not express how satisfied I am with my experience.
