Really love this place. The food is fantastic. Ive only been a couple of times, but every time Ive been there I havent been disappointed. As of this writing Ive tried the duck grilled cheese, bacon cheese fries, jerk pork special, and the Italian. If you ever come through downtown and get hungry Olio should be in your top 3 choices to stop at. I love their fries, and surprisingly the basil aoili dipping sauce. I thought I was going to dislike the basil aoili, but its very good. Its nice to have something different than ketchup to dip fries in. Bacon cheese fries was the best I have ever had. The cheese melted on top is so damn good, and the bacon is REAL cooked bacon. The duck grilled cheese that everyone seems to love was pretty good. Comes with duck confit, gruyere, green tomato (which I opted out of), and white american cheese on thick cut sourdough. My only complaint is i wish they had just a tad bit more cheese and duck on it. Otherwise very well done. Duck is sort of like chicken in terms of texture, but it has a distinct taste to it. The Italian was also decent, but I wasnt overly impressed with it. Still worth a try to see if you like it. I would get it again, but there are to many other items on the menu that interest me. It comes with italian meats & cheese with hot pepper spread, onion, tomato, lettuce, and a red-wine vinaigrette. Jerk pork special wasnt anything special to me. It was spicy (which is fine for me), but so far has been my least favorite thing to consume. I also tried the fresh ginger ale as my buddy recommended. First time trying something like that. Its an experience and if you havent done it before give it a go and decide for yourself. I wasnt a big fan of it, but it wasnt bad. They also have specials each day they write up near the register that isnt on their everyday menu. Awesome lunch spot, and is high up there on my favorite spots in jax.

Food is decent in terms of taste/quality/freshness, thats not my complaint. My complaint is the food serving size being too small for an average healthy man weighing 150+ lb. The pictures online are misleading by far. For example, the Cobb Salad on the picture youll see a good amount of chicken, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, but when you actually order it youll see way too much lettuce and only about half the amount of chicken/eggs/tomatoes, etc... If you wanna get full consider buying poutine fries for a side for 5$. Those are good. EDIT: Changing from 3 to 5 stars. This place is probably the best in downtown area.

We stopped here because we had tickets for a concert at Jacksonville Memorial Arena and we wanted to get some local food beforehand. It was only a few minutes from the Arena and not being familiar with Jacksonville, it was easy to find which I appreciated. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the food was really tasty. I got one of their turkey wraps and it tasted like Thanksgiving! The person eating with me had the cheese steak wrap and said it was delicious. Overall, nice place to go when visiting Jacksonville.

Had the smothered chicken sandwich....chicken was a thin cutlet, could have easily been 2 times the size of chicken to make a decent sized sandwich. Was ok but not great. Fries were good but extra. Everything is ala carte. Not sure why they virtually force you to tip 15, 18 or 20% when ordering at the counter for a place that you get your own food from the counter and serve yourself drinks...and bus your own table. $15 later it wasnt worth the cost and there are better lunch options downtown. Wont be going back.

Love this restaurant! Its quick and over the counter service, so its perfect if youre looking for a place before seeing a show or game (also just perfect if you want to eat at a good place downtown!). Food is prepared fresh, and the specials change daily. I usually get one of the sandwiches, and Ive never been disappointed. Duck grilled cheese and shrimp poboy are my favorites! And if you get the fries, get the basil aioli with it!

Ive eaten here a few times and its an excellent place to stop and have lunch if youre in downtown Jacksonville. The shrimp po boy is amazing. The price is probably a little higher than most places since you have to order a side and drink extra, but its well worth the extra $2 because you really cant get as good of a lunch anywhere else downtown.

When I saw this place had less than 4 stars I was a little shocked. I have never been disappointed by them. They are quick. The food is delicious and more inventive than your average deli. The portions are a little larger than what a serving size should be and they are centrally located. Perfect lunch spot.

The place was almost empty and I ordered pancakes with two eggs to go. My food came in a crappy cardboard box, they forgot my eggs (even though the ticket that was taped to the box said eggs) and the pancakes were not even remotely cooked all the way through. This was my first and last time.

They wouldnt give me change for the parking meter. When I was about to eat there. They were very rude. I was going to tip them basically to get change for the meter but they would not do it. I pulled out 300 in cash and they still would not give me 2-3 quarters so I could set there

Great atmosphere, quick service, delicious food, and amazing decor. The place is really chill and very clean. Really spacious and great for work. Food is delicious and has much to offer. The only thing I have a problem with is a lack of coffee options. Overall great experience.

Laid back, quick food, but with a flair someone takes care to ramp up the flavors. Mostly sandwiches and wraps, a few entrees (shrimp and grits is great), a different quiche each day, and a different special of the day each day. Great place!

I enjoyed my duck grilled cheese. I like the building and the location is great if youre at a conference at the Hyatt. The restaurant was very loud inside. I look forward to trying some more items on their menu.

Consistently amazing food! Menu changes quarterly so always look for your old favs to come back around. Staff is amazing. Very clean. A must do if you happen to be downtown! Usually only open for lunch.

The food and atmosphere are good. The maple pork was very good. Interesting mix of flavor. The service was slow for my traveling companions, but the staff worked to make things right. Good place to eat.

Best place to have lunch downtown, period! The shrimp poboy is amazing. They make a great burger. Francesca has the front hopping and popping with art on the walls and service at the counter.

Tried this spot two days in a row last week. My team works out of office spot located at Level Office next door. Food was hot and fresh both times. I ordered a Caesar salad and steak sub.

This review is for breakfast only - if a restaurant is going to serve breakfast, coffee should be more than a Kureg. It was cheap, but disappointing that better coffee was not available,
