Have been to many Korean reastaurants. This place, It was awful, right when I walked in got bad service, just tried to be kind and cool, didnt want to put egg in soup, ok, no problem, Ill pay extra for it. I love good vibes, but we all have our limits.So I sit there, for 30 minuteswaiting for a simple soup (no exaggeration), and theres 4 tables full at restaurant, with two people. I ask server how much longer and he says 20 more minutes. So 45-50 minute wait for a soup, when barely anyone is in the restaurant! And to make it all worse (Ive had homemade korean and lots of restaurants) they dont even serve side dishes, because Im supposed to wait 50 minutes first for a soup, when again, barely anyone is in the restaurant. Is this right? Any imagine if restaurant was full

Love this place, ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and I will certainly return. I ordered the Korean BBQ ribs, they were so unbelievably tasty, out of this world. Their kimche (spell check) is awesome as is the cozy feel of this small restaurant. The best part about this place is when I came to eat here the person preparing my food was a little old korean lady, so not only was it authentic food but Grandma cooked it. Try it out and give this family owned restaurant some of your money, you wont regret eating here its truly the best in Jax.

Please ignore any negative reviews more than 6 months old. The restaurant is under new management. My Korean wife and I went and found the food was outstandingly good. It is the best Korean restaurant in Jacksonville. Servings were generous, the server (the owners son) was helpful and courteous, and prices were in line with the quality. The owner came out to check on us; she was also kind (and a great cook!). There was another couple (wife Korean and husband American) who said they drive over from St Augustine just to eat at GangNam.

Awesome little place... Food is on point however not the same as endless Korean BBQ places in California and Orlando.. you have to order 2 meats to get a grill top table.. this gets pricy since one plate can run from 12-15$$. The lunch specials were pretty good size portions of food ...9.99 and up similar to bento box set up. Only odd thing in the box was a random motzerella stick? All this Korean goodness and one random cheese stick ? #jaxlocalvibes

Three of us stopped in for dinner. The place is very clean and service was attentive. Do not let the strip mall location throw you, it is nice inside. We ordered the beef bulgogi ($15.99) spicy pork bulgogi ($15.99) and japchae ($12.99). It came with 7 different sides. All of which were very good. The fish cake was surprisingly our favorite. We ate family style and left comfortably full but not stuffed. Total price with two sodas $55.

I am glad this place popped up in Jacksonville! Its a nice hole in the wall restaurant with authentic and delicious Korean food. I had the seafood pancakes and pork bulgogi, both definitely had that homemade Korean mom taste! I was craving this for the longest time. Service was excellent and it was a great experience overall. I will be going back to try the hot pot next!

My first time stopping by was last week and I havent stopped thinking about it since! Everything was good. There were maybe 7 other customers there but I didnt wait long for my good to come out. The only issue I had was when I ordered a sprite I was brought a can sprite with a cup of ice. I dont like can sodas. Otherwise it was all good. I will be back!

Wait time would break around 30 minutes, but patience is awarded. The food itself was definitely authentic Korean cuisine and worth the wait. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was also very welcoming and the server was very polite and a hard worker. The prices may be a little but higher compared to similar restaurants but it was well worth it.

Good food good service. I really appreciated the good customer service. The waiters were really nice. I enjoyed the delicious food. I recommend this Korean restaurant and will definitely come again! The only downside is that I had to wait longer than usual for my food, but that was the only bad thing. Other than that, loved it! 너무 맛있었어요~

An excellent meal, I feel that one dish is enough for two people, if youre prepared to share, the meal is much better. There are burners in three tables, for hot pot and BBQ, but there are restrictions for allowing you to use them. Talk with the server to hear everything about it. Fried tofu, then beef bulgogi, both were very tasty.

We moved here from Los Angeles a few years ago and missed all the Korean food there, so we were very excited to try this place out. We had the seafood pancake, japchae, spicy seafood tofu soup, and galbi. Everything was delicious, and we would order them all again. So glad to get some authentic Korean food in Jacksonville!

Small and quaint. Loved the food. The owner was very helpful and generous, he even brought out small sample of Kim chee and other cold salad. Will go back for sure, but not a weekly meal as the prices are higher than I have budgeted for family meals. More of a once a month place if you are bringing the family.

Have eaten here several times, and have never been disappointed! Great Korean food and friendly service. Lunch menu is one of the best deals in Jacksonville. If youre looking for simple, well-prepared Korean food or just something different from typical Chinese, this is the place to try.

This is the real deal. The food is universally delicious, Korean home cookin. Weve eaten here at least ten times and always have enjoyed everything weve tried. Be sure to ask for some soo jung wa after your meal. Dont worry, you dont need to know what it is, just put it in your tea hole.

Legit genuine Korean comfort food. Everything was delicious. There wasnt too much of a wait considering theres only the owners mother cooking most of the dishes. Came out very satisfied and super full! Im glad this place is getting more business it deserves to stay.

If theres better Korean in Jacksonville, then I dont know where it is! Food was delicious and came out super fast. Authentic Korean dining experience, complete with all of the little side dishes of fermented goodness. Oh, and you cant beat the K-Pop soundtrack.

So delicious! Ive eaten at a lot of authentic Korean places, including in Seoul, and this was right up there for the quality of the ban chan and the mandokuk. Tong galbi and dol sot bi bim bap were also great. The kitchen is not fast, but it is worth the wait.

This is the Korean place me and my husband are going every weekend basically. We r big Korean food fans.Food is so wonderful and we never left disappointed. Its probably the best Korean food in town. Try spicy chicken bulgogi and kimchi soup.
