I moved to Jacksonville about a year ago and after craving some of my moms cooking i thought id check out this Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Im not usually a fan of buffets at indian restaurants so i thought id head up there for dinner. I sit down and the place is empty besides the waiter that greeted me right when i walked in. Large open dining area with music playing in the background. I ordered the Karahi Chicken with Naan bread. Also i thought, what the hell and ordered some Pakoras (fried battered vegetables). The food seemed to me to be made fresh which was definitely a plus. My pakoras arrived first and were pretty good,,I just wish maybe it had a little more salt or flavoring but otherwise made hot and fresh. When my main meal came my mouth started watering. The karahi Chiken was the star of the night. I dont know if its because i havent had Indo-Pak food in a while or what but it was the best ive eaten in a while. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and plentiful. The naan was warm and not rubbery or dry. Got some Chai to go which was a little sweet for my taste but still good. The cook came out and spoke with me a little bit telling me about jacksonville and the waitress was excellent. Ive been to an indian restaurant on San jose and that place does not even compare...I would definitely recommend this place and cant wait to go back again.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT...I have been to this place today and its the worst restaurant you can end up into....None of the items in the menu were available....I was above to leave the place and the guy who was handling the kitchen came out and said that he can make chana masala for me and he said its going to be delicious. So I trusted him and ordered it. It was just boiled beans...no spices, no salt...I told the lady on the counter how bad the food was. All she said was "I am sorry" and thats it...I didnt take the second bite and asked her to take the food back...She took the food back and still charged me full amount. Its a small 4-5 tables restaurant on the side of the store....restroom area smells like hell...Would not recommend anyone unless you want to waste your money. Dont have 0 star option so I have to give it 1 star to post the review.

This place was not what I expected: just a few tables in an area inside a grocery store. They brought the samosas as a cold dish, and the chicken in my chicken tikka masala was stained bright pink around the edges of every bite, under the (orange) sauce. My chai was undrinkable, with a skin that didnt go away when I stirred but only broke apart a little, and I normally LOVE chai. The man who took our orders kept asking if we wanted naan or "boiled rice," over and over, even after wed answered multiple times, and another man came over after wed been served and scolded my friend for not stirring her food, saying we should have been told it has to be stirred on the plate. I like supporting small businesses, we got full, and it was cheap, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I eat at this restaurant at least once or twice per week. I am in love with their food. The chicken tikka masala one of the best in town, and Ive had it all over Jacksonville (Indias Restaurant, 5th Element, India House, etc). I think the prices on their biryani is also very reasonable, and it is really delicious. I see the same woman in there every week, and she greets me with a warm smile and is always interested in how Im doing. I just love this place, and will be going there for years to come.

Went here with my family and it was amazing. Our service was awesome as they are very kind and helpful. My mom was given a special dish off the menu when she said she doesnt like spicy food. I had the chicken Karahi and it was absolutely amazing, especially with the fresh nan bread! The owner offered us a kitchen tour to see how they make the nan but we passed, but will have check it out as we will definitely be coming back!

So since I am picky eater and have an attitude of a very critical critique of food I thought to give this place a shot. First of all the customer service was excellent. I recently moved here so this was the closet HALAL (Muslim) restaurant that I wanted to try and man I was blown away with the flavors. Biryani, Daal was good chicken was good but not excellent, but overall the food was great! I would try this food again.

My friend and I came late one night just before they closed and we were enthusiastically greeted! The store owner and the chef were very friendly and made us feel like we did them a favor showing up just before close. The food was incredible and the chef brought us sauces and a special dessert on the house just because we seemed interested in the food. Definitely telling my friends about this place!

Friendly staff and efficient service. Small but good selection of appetizers and entrees. Many entrees are available with chicken, lamb or goat. The samosa chat was a spicy mix of broken samosa, chickpeas, onions, corriander leaves and yogurt. A cool and creamy chat. The goat karahi was made less hot but was still packed with flavor.

There is nothing like this in town. Ive been here half a dozen times and the food has been incredible. The ingerdients are always fresh. The service is very good as well. I have been a fan of Indias Restaurant for years, but Apna makes the other restaurant seem like junk. I hope its in Jax to stay.

Had an amazing time here with my mom and wife. The food is amazing here. The head chef is the best; he even took us in to the kitchen to show us how the naan is made (they use an actual clay oven!). Lastly, I work with a few Indians, they all agree that the food is very authentic.

Came to get authentic Indian food. It was absolutely everything I wanted. If I did not live in Tallahassee I would eat here at very least once a week

The chicken karahi and vegetable samosas were good. The aloo palak was severly undersalted and the naan was dry. The ambiance was very poor.

Awesome Aalu ka parathe. Rest of food is also good. Just one negative thing is need to wait a little longer for food to get ready.
