This place is horrible and it USED TO BE awesome. I went on my birthday. Everything now is from a can (they used to make their own refried beans and fried corn tortillas for crispy tacos) the beans tasted like the tin can they came from and the taco shells are now courtesy of Taco Bells dinner kit! (for those of you who dont know authentic Mexican food, thats a bad thing) I sent back my fake taco and ordered my other favorite...The chili rellano. It was GROSS! It had a thick flour batter, not a light egg batter, it was fried anemic (it should be crisp to hold up in the red chile sauce) oh wait...they covered it in a sauce that I swear is cream of chicken soup thinned with water. Disgusting!!! The salsas are still good. But Im sure in time they will be swapped out for Pace.

While this restaurant may not be authentic Tex-Mex, it doesnt need to be. I lived in New Mexico for 15 years and was married to an exceptional cook of Southwestern American style Mexican food. Many reviewers of Mexican style food rate New Mexican style superior to Tex-Mex. My point is, I really do know what good is when it comes to Mexican food and I eat at Jalisco any chance I get. When my sister and her husband come down from the frozen north for a visit with me, we go straight to Jaliscos from the airport even before going to my place to unpack! Is the place a little on the ratty side, yeah, but its clean and the food is excellent. Dont hesitate to at least give the place a try.

I came to this restaurant lured by the positive reviews. My experience was not so positive. 1- Staff is unfriendly. Barely a word was said. She stood by the table to take the order, then dumped the plates in front of us and walked away. Maybe a bad day? Not a language barrier, as I also speak Spanish. 2- Food is passable to say the least. Chimichanga was fried but not crispy at all, just soft and blah in taste. 3- The kicker. She overcharged us by $15. When I pointed it out, she did not seem surprised and did not apologise. She simply wrote the correct amount on the bill on top of the incorrect one. Very suspicious. Im not returning.

Jaliscos will be misunderstood by many looking for a simple Tex-Mex fix. These are real people cooking real good food, that is is some of the best Mexican flavors I have experienced since spending much time in Mexico. It is a simple unpretentious place that has little curb appeal. However, once inside for your first time you will feel their humble welcome and efforts to please you--something missing from most commercial restaurants. My mouth waters for the simplicity of their steak asada just simple with rice and beans. Enjoy.

Great stuff, been going there for over a decade. The building is unassuming, and could use a little updating, but the food is great. Staff is attentive and friendly. Hosting a Birthday party there this weekend. Jalicos continues to be a favorite in our special list of true local, family owed restauranteurs. The guacamole is awesome... seafood burrito killer and one of our favorites, though not Mexican, the Cuban combo. Always end up with leftovers for a great midnight snack as well :).

I go here for lunch, and sometimes dinner. The chips and salsa are always fresh and free and soup comes with your lunch no charge. The tacos are real authentic, but you cant go wrong with the simple quarter chicken with rice and beans. I love this place and crave for it, but its hard to stay fit eating fried chips all the time. Definitely check it out. Its not a 5 star restaurant, but its not supposed to be Its a quaint, nice laid back, great delicious food spanish mexican restaurante.

The place inside is quite dirty. If they had to keep the health inspector review on the door like in N.Y., Im sure theyd be a B. Feels like real Mexico. Food was really good. Prices werent as cheap as Id expect considering the inside and surrounding restaurants that are nicer inside and priced the same. Overall pretty good whole in the wall restaurant.

If I could give zero stars I would! Found a bug in the mystery soup they bring you upon arrival. We should have gotten up and left after we saw bug number 2 crawling across the table. My chimichanga was burnt and by burnt I mean black! Charred. Same with the flautas that my friend ordered. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

La comida es aceptable pero el servicio es pesimo las meseras son odiosas y poco amigables. Perdonen la molestia de entrar en su negocio.

I found this place to be a somewhat dirty. Dust all over the ledge of the walls and just looked like it needed a power wash and paint job. Food was ok, nothing spectacular nor either good for that matter. The waitress was very attentive and was always following up on drinks and water.

Use to be one of my go-to places but for good cheap Mexican food the surely waitresses who leave you waiting to order to filling drinks to bringing your bill is just so time wasting and aggravating its no longer a place I will go and I try to warn people who ask about it.

Been a customer for 14 years. Wouldnt keep coming back if the food wasnt authentic and the service friendly and prompt. Years ago, I took a couple of visiting friends there that are from Jalisco Mexico. They gave it their seal of approval! Good enough for me.

Delicious. I had the Cuban-style ground beef picadillo and it was fabulous. My son had a chicken burrito with salsa verde which included generous amounts of white meat. Verde sauce, refried beans, everything was great.

I thought this would be an authentic place, the service was ok, but the food had fake colors and no flavor. Totally dissapointed, dont eat here unless you want to feel bad afterwards, or have no taste buds.

Im a customer for 10 years and continue to return because of freshness of the homemade entrees as well as the prompt service I have continued to receive from the most beautiful and accommodating servers.

The service was not good at all. The workers seemed frustrated with the intoxicated customer base. I ordered the flautas and was sick for the next 2 days. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Saw the building from the road and automatically thought this would be a great, non-domesticated, yet authentic place to eat mexican food.....indeed it was; absolutely delicious.

My husband so enjoys the food here that we drive 30 minutes to eat here now that weve moved. The service here is what sets them apart, though, and why I give them 5 stars.

This is a Spanish-Mexican restaurant NOT a Texas-Mexican restaurant. It is very good as a Spanish-Mexican restaurant. You can never go wrong with the Masas de Puerco.
