OK, well here goes - buckle up. We walked in without reservations and could only get seats at the bar, but a short while later the hostess came to over to us and said there was an available table. We had already started on our first appetizer so we decided to sit at the bar and eat. The food, both appetizers and main course, were both very good. The music was also good. A very eclectic mix. The special effects of lighting added a different touch to eating out in a restaurant. It was more like eating dinner in a restaurant that was in a club. The bartender was good and so was the service altogether. But, there was pot smoking in the bathroom and immediately thereafter, a cop was posted at the front door. It made me feel a little uncomfortable. How many restaurants require police at the front door? Hmmmm? We asked and paid for our bill and immediately left the restaurant. We got into our car and proceeded to drive out of the parking lot in to the street. The next thing you know there was a dark colored pick up truck following us, flashing a light which appeared to be a bright flashing led light. They were waving the light in a fashion as to telling us to pull over or stop. We knew that they were not the police and that these guys were up to no good. Then, it dawned on us. These guys must have been sitting at the bar next to us. They really couldnt see us because there was a column separating us, but they were casing us in the bar. They must have walked past us a few times. They saw I was wearing a very large diamond ring and carried an expensive Louis Vuitton Bag. I also had a nice size diamond on my neck, which was very conspicuous. As we thought more about the incident, we figured the bartender must have pointed us out to these unscrupulous characters. He had a clear view of my assets. They must be working together. I wonder how many people have fallen prey to these miscreants. Scum of the earth. I will be calling the local police station to inform them of this incident. If we would have stopped, and if is a big word here, they would have gotten the surprise of their short lived lives. So, if you value your property, especially all you women out there, dont go there. Stay away!!!

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I dont write reviews but this abominable experience is worth mentioning. I had dinner there with 2 girlfriends this week. When the check came we wanted to split it 3 ways (2 credit cards, 1 cash payment). The waiter came back and told us they wont allow the bill to be paid by more than 2 people, even with a cash payment! We decided to use 2 cards and put 1/3 on 1 card and 2/3 on the other card. The waiter comes back with the bill split 50% on each card, ignoring or forgetting our instructions. We asked him to make the correction and the manager came over. The manager told us they do not issue any credit on a credit card order even if it is their mistake. I asked the manager to step away from our table so we can talk. He must have not liked a woman asking him to step away from the table. He started NAME CALLING and CURSING, embarrassing me in front of my friends and other customers. Shockingly and to show his power over a female customer, he asked me to leave, telling me I was not invited back. He threatened to call the police if I did not get up and leave. He placed his hands on the chair I was sitting in and physically moved me away from the table. The whole time during this ordeal, the owner, Steve martorano was watching and never came over to help defray the situation. Forget about the food when the customer service is so horrendous!

Im only giving this a 1 bc of how we were treated! Im never the one to take the time to write a review. A business owner myself... We made reservations- party of 12... At 8:15... Seated by 8:45 no big deal... We said just bring us a little of everything to split... Meat balls went into 4 pieces... Same for other dishes... Then came the lobster and they gave everyone a whole lobster?? Okay lets just be rude and try to run the bill up... $408 for the lobster along...it is what it is... The bill was over 1800 dollars... So now its about 10... And they start finally playing music with the videos etc- thats what we came for....still having drinks at the table and ordering...All of sudden they come over and say we need yall to get up and leave??? Wtf!! We just paid over 1800 for a meal and we have to getup and leave! We will not be back!! Haha you guys need to come to the south- South Carolina so we can teach you guys some manners :) xoxo

My wife and I just had dinner on Friday we have been there several times before and we know its overpriced and the service is usually poor, but we like the food, however this last visit AND I MEAN MY LAST !! Visit.... the waiter was rude as usual my wife ordered the Lobster special when she got her meal the Lobster was bad it tasted bad and smelled even worse, she had ONE !!! Bite and informed the waiter he said we dont take back Lobster we explained the food was bad however he still said they dont take back Lobster and we had to pay for it either way he offered another meal but said we would have to pay for that meal also, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDE BEFORE IN MY LIFE.. Well they lost another customer after 6 successful visits this one is the last and ALL MY FRIENDS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS WILL ALSO KNOW JUST HOW BAD Martinos is. I will be happy when they are out of business and a classy RESTAURANT opens in that spot...

We went to this place based on the past reputation and our visiting relatives desire to try their meatballs. I have found their food is nothing special, but their service is the worst I have ever encountered. They are not ADA compliant and make no accommodation for the elderly. In my last visit, we went with relatives from out of town, some of whom have a difficult time walking and standing. Our reservation was made over a week in advance, but when arriving, no tables were ready. We waited, standing or on flat board bar stools for over one hour, being lied too and told "soon, soon" by the manager. Able to support it no longer, the older members of our group suggested another establishment close by, and after a quick phone call explaining our plight, they happily accepted us for immediate seating. The worst hour of my Wedding weekend was spent at Cafe Martorano, rely on them at your peril.

Ive been going next door to Cigar Republic to have drinks and smoke my cigars. I kept seeing great looking people going in to this place and I was intrigued. I was told it was an upscale Italian restaurant, so I decide to take my wife the for the first time on a Saturday night and it was around 9:30 pm. When I walked in, I was blown away!! Nothing what I was expecting. The music was pumping, everyone were up and dancing and it was packed! I said holy crap, this is not a restaurant, this is a club. Needless to say I was hooked. We made it to the bar and ordered drinks and before you know it my wife and I were dancing and making new friends. We had the time of our lives! We will now become regulars. Tip to management, please take more care of the bathrooms. Mens room was flooded and the ladys room was out of paper.
