I have to admit the food is very good!! As for the servers and the cook, are very nasty looking in appearance and in their hygiene! The servers, nor the cook wash their hands after coming back in from smoking, handling money and taking orders, clearing and washing tables before handling the customers food, silver ware, drinking glasses or making desserts. Their Hygiene is poor. They have no ideal about cross contamination, as they cut chicken on the same cutting board they cut red meat. Uses the same knife to cut chicken, pork,ribs, and brisket. They drop garlic toast,chicken tenders onto the floor and will pick it up, place on the plate and serves it to you. VERY Concerned for people who eat there!! How I know this? First hand, a former employee for four months there. I am 57, a Christian, I do not lie and the things I say is the truth and I say it only to help some one else even tho it may hurt others that is in the wrong!

This place is amazing!! Im praying they Flourish daily!! People that complain about the small porptions are greedy people. America eats to much food already! The staff ESP Kristy are always friendly and helpful!! We love them all!! My children Love the restaurant and so do I. How dare someone complain of bugs! We live in Florida for Gods sake!! Its always been a very clean place when we have visited. The owner is a great person always helpful and his son works very hard when we see him working there. If you people think you can run a business better than them, then do it and stop running your mouth!! We love the Coleslaw and okra!! There meat is on point. We feel at home here and are greatful they are open!! Wishing Porkies BQ family a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!! We believe in your business!! YUMMY!! Place was WOW delicious. ..I ordered a small pork sandwich with two sides and the gal was very nice at the front counter. oh she gave a gold and sauce and another sauce and I wasnt sure about the sides but she said they had the best collard greens around, and that she ate them everyday. Well that talked me right into it and I was very pleased with the Flavour it was all delicious!!!! I also ordered the dirty fries and was also impressed... the service was phenomenal the food was delicious ... only thing I would say is that the side orders are very small. Oh and all the employees even the cooks were smiling. ..music was on.. I even went out front and sad in the wooden rocking chair when was making a phone call and the girl brought the food out to me and I thought that was very very very nice ! Great atmosphere!!! Ill definitely go back and praise this place.. Dont be shy..get in there and enjoy

The pork was tasty and thats where it ends! The beans tasted like pork n beans right out of the can and room temp to boot. The rest of the food was average and was lacking in portion compared the price, but thats not my biggest problem with this place. In Florida your gonna have bugs its a given, but no less than three roaches crawled along the wall during my very brief visit and that says a lot about the cleanliness of the place. But hey thats just me! You may enjoy that kind of dining on the edge thing.

This place is the nastiest location you will ever go to in your life. What we mean by nasty is the staff and the food. Not only do you need to own a bank to eat here but when you watch the staff feeding each other with their bare hands from the customers food, it is enough to make you want to gag. We watched this happen three times and after that, we vowed to never return again. Not to mention the fact that the people taking your order act like you are annoying them. Beware.

There are so many BBQ places around that it is difficult to try them all. It seems everywhere else (including Sonnys) have jacked their prices way up, but Porkies is priced just right. Two adults and two young children and we had tons of great food for $25. Baby back ribs and brisket are top quality. The "dirty taters" side is amazing!

Pulled pork,brisket,fried pickes and key lime pie are amazing! The sides are tiny though thats the only reason i didnt give it 5 stars. They have exceptional service very helpful my girlfriend loves their cornbread i think they just recently changed it though it taste different. Im on my way there now i love this place!

We love Porkies! The BBQ is so yummy and flavorful! Love the ribs and brisket especially! The side items are great, especially my favorites, sweet potato casserole and dirty taters! I love all the sauce choices though Im partial to the Carolina red. Been going there since they were in Daytona Beach.

We have a house in DeLeon Springs and LOVE this place. We get carryout to take in the car on the ride back up to Michigan, its that good! I am partial to the brisket and pulled pork. The sauces are ALL incredible. I suggest the dirty taters as a side. Bonus, theyve got Yuengling on tap.

A great BBQ joint for spare ribs and pulled pork. They have a large selection of sauces ranging from Hot to smokey sweet. Carolina Gold, and other piedmont favorites from my home state are also here. Shout out to Steven working the smoker. Great job on those ribs dude.

The food here is always exceptionally good but the new addition of blues music makes Porkies the perfect barbeque experience. From the warm greeting diners receive when they walk in the door to the friendly smiles of the staff, diners are made to feel at home.

You think their sides are a little small until you eat their Hardy sandwich and then you hardly have room for the sides. Drive 16 miles out of my way almost everyday for the turkey sandwich mac and cheese baked beans are awesome.Frigin love it.

Great flavors, friendly staff, daily specials. Call ahead for a to go order. The steak tips are to die for. I would like to see bigger sides as they are somewhat small for the price but the best authentic barbeque in the area in my opinion.

If you like large portions of great BBQ and sides for a great price this is the place in Deland! Always tasty and fast. And dont forget to try the fresh deserts. One word of caution Auburn fans, the owner is a huge Bama fan. Roll Tide!

My family and I though the food tasted GREAT (best pulled pork Ive had in awhile!). We got take-out -- interacted with two staff members, both were very nice. Food was a little on the pricy side, but wed definitely eat there again.

Family went here and got pulled pork and beef brisket and we were pretty let down. We are BBQ snobs, but this wasnt good BBQ in our books. The brisket was dry as a bone and the pork didnt really have any flavor to it.
