I came here a while ago and had a bad experience. I made a review about it on Yelp which got a professional response from the owner offering for me to come back for a free meal since it was under new management to show me that things had changed. I recently decided to go back and give them a chance so I went back to their reviews to see what other people had said. I saw multiple responses from the owner that were rude and insulting to the customers (many of which would not have changed my mind about going again after reading them). I sent him this message: Me: I was going to come back this weekend so that I could update my review. Because of the rude responses you have left on other customers reviews shows me that you dont care about your customers or their feedback. This also tells me you dont care about improving your business. I will not be back, I will also be sure to mention how you respond to people to anyone who messages me again regarding my review and your company. I hope you learn that if you cant say something nice to not say anything at all, especially in the restaurant industry. Owners response: Lindsay I didnt say anything mean to you I said mean things to the other people who are idiots. I dont think youre an idiot thats why I sent you a nice message to start with. However since you started to act like all the other idiots on this page who are insulting and rude and obnoxious just for the sake of being so without having anything intelligent or helpful to say that Im starting to have my doubts about you too. My final response: Well, I am sorry you feel that way. I was hoping that me telling you the reason I am not coming back would be helpful by showing you how your responses are viewed by the public. You indirectly calling me an idiot shows me that your 3 star review is higher than what is probably deserved. I hope you learn how to deal with negative reviews in a better way in the future as well as not to alienate you potential future customers. Calling your customers idiots isnt how you improve your business. Good luck to this establishment and fingers crossed for improvements and attitude changes towards the people that could make you successful.

It was not a good one. The young lady was very loud and smart mouth. Coming in the door she yelled across the room with that kind of welcoming. I really could not hear her because the music was playing load. When i asked her was everything ok she talked down to me and made me feel as if me or my money was not welcome. I tried to let her know her attitude was making me uncomfortable and i didnt like the way she had address me walking in. She walked away talked to the other female. They talked to a guy in the back and they all made me uncomfortable. I made my order because i really wanted to try this food. My first time there was not good. So i get my food and everything was bad. My french toast bites was over cooked cut the top of my mputh when i chew on them. My grits was cold and the cheese did not melt. When my cup of tea was out she never come to offer me a refill. So i saw fish on thr menu. I wave at her to make another order. When i asked about the plate she was short with me and i still made the order because this was a new place to me. I even let her know this was my first time there did not chanhe her attitude. So i spent $26 and some change and it was not worth it. I gave my fish plate to a homeless person near the hospital just because I did not trust them any. She is a terrible waitress and she starts problems for customers and it make it hard to trust the cooking. And i still gave her a tip $2 it would have been more but i paid enough in that place for the bad service. The tip was really to remind her this is a part of her daily take home pay. I hope you contact me. Not for a free meal but because i was so ashamed when i walked out the door. It felt like she had the entire restaurant looking at me. Ive never felt like this. It still bothering me.

Wow, what a great place! Stopped by on a Wednesday morning after my appointment at the hospital had been canceled (without notifying me) so to put it mildly, I was not in the best of moods! Since I can no longer drive, I was just looking for somewhere within a short walk to eat. Checked Google maps and they were just across the street and had great reviews. Didnt even know they were there. Walked in, heard the 50s music, was greeted by a pretty, friendly waitress and my mood quickly started to change! The food was good, Jeni was my waitress and the service was just great! As both retired military and law-enforcement, it always means a lot to me when a business owner appreciates and supports our "First Responders". Thank you Jeff! All that to say; it was my first time here. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be back any time I am near the hospital and will highly recommend Chickadees to everyone ! Again, thank you! (By the way, I had never written a review.)

Nice theme, waitresses are really friendly/easy to talk to which always makes the wait/meal leagues better. Food was much quicker than I thought it would be (though I ordered a quick BLT) and the quality didnt suffer. First time I can say I had fries that beat McDonalds fries. Though it was a double BLT (~$13) maybe there was an option to have a smaller single BLT that I didnt see. If not it would be nice to have smaller portions to choose. Some prices a little more friendly to college age would be nice as well (and for the poor med-student). All I can say other than that is they should really start sending out fliers around Richland and Lexington area because no one I know has ever heard of them and they arent in the most obvious spot. Ill definitely be back when I can actually sit down instead of getting a to go.

Woke up super early this am while bf was going to work and I was starving. ..only so many places around these parts. Heard great things about yall so I checked out the menu and immediately was starving. ..saw on page opened at 5am but then another page said 8am. Called and spoke to nice dude and said they were open at 5am so went up there, super cute inside like a Lil old diner & had some killer music inside too...Ray Charles, BB King...I got the 5am Breakfast which was 2 eggs, bacon or sausage (I got bacon), potatoes(which were different then most hash browns) and I thought were AMAZING and toast... $5. Super awesome place. Such a large menu...cant wait till I can go back and try more and have bottomless mimosas. ...work day so I figured that might not be a good idea today. Ha. Thanks for the awesomeness!

All my food was fresh, hot, and EXACTLY how I ordered it. Everything tasted so good and my food was 10 minutes earlier than I was expecting, which definitely brought a smile to my face. Everyone who participated made sure I had enough condiments, napkins, and utensils. The tea wasnt as sweet as I hoped but it was probably the correct amount so who cares because my food was Delicious from beginning to end... Lol definitely using and recommending this place from now on! Thank you, thank you, and thank you; the simple pleasures of a decent meal at a great price in ample supply always wins in my book! Great job!!!
