We have come to the old restaurant many times in the beginning when you were in the smaller place . On the last 2 occasions at that location we brought company from out of town and made reservations for the high tops the were not honored. The first time you gave us your business card personally and told us to call if we had another issue and speak to you personnaly. The following time we came back with family that drove quite a distance and made a reservation 45 min in advance for the high top . We arrived 15 min early we found that a couple was being seating In the open high top. When we inquired why they were being seated and our reservation not being honored we were told that they were waiting over an hour , we were upset so we left . I called the next day as I was told to do by you, and was given some BS story on how your hostess who was to be your stepdaughter was NEW at the position and makes mistakes . I would understand if this was the first time but it wasnt. We we very disappointed in your lack of concern for our time and travel that we did come back for 2 yrs . On mothers day this year my husband asked me if I wanted to try your restaurant again. I agreed to trying it one more time as i enjoy your authentic Italian food. I Loved your new location although the portions seemed smaller than before and at a higher price. The only constellation was the service we received from Jorge. He was a well rounded and experience server and made our time there a pleasant one. So a month later our friends drive back up from Bradenton and we came e in for dinner at 6:40 and couldnt be seated anywhere other than the bar without a reservation until 8:30 . We were seated at the far left end of the bar in front of the salad station where my husband was seated in front of the credit card machine which was being utilized by every server the entire meal. One comment was "boy isnt this cozy" by one of your servers. My husband said "No offense but its not what I prefer". Then we were waited on by a guy who clearly had no formal food serving experience and told us he was also the bartender. We had to ask twice for bread for 2 seperate checks which 1 was finally brought out by the hostess. Meanwhile when our waiter came back and brough another order of bread we asked what took so long, his answer was " I am also the bartender for the whole restaurant and was busy" . Our company answered "arent we important also" Now waiting 20+ min for our soup it finally arrives and my husbands bowl was only half full while the other 2 were full to the brim. While trying to make the best of it we finally received our dinner. At that time the food runner reaches in front of my husband to put down the antipasto salad almost putting his sleeve in his food . Then upon the delivery of our friends dinner who requested NO sauce on her chicken parm. but wanted it on the side instead it came smothered in sauce. She was asked by the hostess as the hostess could clearly see she was not happy with her order if she wanted a new order made. Our friend declined saying she did not want to wait another 45 min . Then our bartender/waiter came by and saw the chicken smothered with sauce and his comment was " I told them NO sauce " . So again you helped us decide NOT to return to your restaurant and go Gigis on 4th St. N has good food and who cares about their customers as well as their dinning experience.

Mothers Day disaster dinner. I have been here numerous times without issue. Reservations were made days in advance for 4 ppl at 7pm. We arrived promptly and were finally seated at 740pm. Other diners walked in waited 20 minutes and were seated. Not good. Once seated it then took another 30 minutes for any interaction with wait staff. Waiting 30 minutes for a them to take drink order is ridiculous. Our server apologized and gave an excuse. So I Figured we were on an upswing. No... our waiter was to concerned about another high roller table. We wanted to order appetizers and inquired about specials. He insisted on getting only our drinks he was pressed for time. Really we have been here 70 minutes just some water please. Drinks arrived he explained specials. Ordered appetizers and meals. Salads brought out incorrectly. Sides brought out with salads. Slow drink refills. Had to ask 4 different staff members for a napkin. Our server disappeared and we were dealing mostly with the hostess and bartender. We finally received our meals at 920pm. 2 hours and 20 minutes later. Momma sesto visited our table and we expressed our displeasure and not once apologized but gave excuses. My husband asked to speak to manager out front as to not make and already uncomfortable situation even worse. Manager was bartender apologized. Other table behind us with same waiter was there since 630pm. By 1015pm I just wanted to leave. Received our $160 check and a free slice of cheesecake to go. No tip left except to hostess and bartender. Never in my life have I left a penny tip until tonight. Maybe lunch would be better.

Lets say u like Olive Garden, or lets say that youre a fan of Maccaroni Grill or Carrabbas. Take all those restaurants, mash them up in a hand sized ball, and toss that ball out of your moving vehicle as you make your way to this restaurant. This place has authentic home-made Italian food. The food here is so well made that even this sentence is an understatement. Every single item eaten here is home made...yes, made here in the restaurant. The pasta is so good, they actually have a fridge with it by itself in the event that you want to take it home!! Even a single lunch item like the Pollo e Pepperone sandwich is made with such intricate detail that the ingredients make you forget youre eating an oven toasted sandwich. The meat sauce marinara is so well made, it fills you, but it doesnt stop there, it blends in with your taste buds and allows a perfect marriage of sauce, meat, and fresh home made flavor. Their flat bread pizza is so divine that upon the time of my arrival, 3 tables had ordered the entree. Each time Ive come here, the owner/chef always drops by to say hi and ask about the food. He suggested the Tiramisu for dessert, and wow...I am thanking him thru this review. Do your tastebuds a favor and drop by...youre welcome.

Sunday Brunch will never be the same as Da Sesto Italiano has set a high standard culinary experience in our final Fall Break food event. The setting was intimate with relaxing live jazz, the food display was mouthwatering and staff was very knowledgeable and professional. Antiapasto selections were very fresh. Loved the veggies. I could taste the bold marinate and smoky char on every bite. Their bruschetta topping was by far the best Ive ever had. Pizza selections were thin w/ nice semi sweet dough and not soggy. Each pizza concoction has well balanced ingredients between the meats, veggies, cheese and sauce. Nothing was overpowering. I almost overlooked the hot selections but thank goodness for fellow guests for pointing out that section. I couldnt get enough of the Penne AllAmatriciana. That sauce was to die for. Great for dipping bread too :) Pollo Alla Sesto skewers were moist and flavorful. Also loved the bold Sausage Peppers and Onions and the homemade zesty tomato sauce of the spaghetti. This place was simply superb and will come back when were around Tampa! Great staff and and amazing food..a must!
