Really, really good food. Its greasy and sloppy like a bar like this should be. If youre daring, get the Great White Burger, its a lot of food, but worth the extra loop on your belt. The Rum Runners are probably the most alcoholic, yet still enjoyable version of the cocktail Ive ever had. If youre in, the mood for a stupendously Floridian bar/restaurant, this is the place to be. Music till 10 outside, and close inside. Water views, great prices, fun atmosphere, tons of food for your money theres not much to dislike. A unique bar that balances family restaurant with drunk hangout famously. The only negative is the one unisex bathroom that could cause a line, but surprisingly, after 2 years of often visits, never had to wait to vacate drinks. Its not the best place youll go to, but if youre a local or a tourist, this needs to be in your bucket list. At worst, youll visit and leave saying, "that was very cool and different," at best you wont leave because youre either too drunk from the Rum Runners, too full and cant move, or dancing to the music.

I took my sister out for her birthday to the restaurant Shark Tales. The experience was horrible, there were a couple of things that were wrong with the restaurant and its staff. First, when my sister received her food she started to eat it and found a long strand of hair. I brought it to the managers(Craig) attention and he said " Im sorry but you will have to wait", I was very surprised by his response to this situation. Secondly, when I went to use the restroom I went to grab for the toilet paper on the ledge of the stall. When removing the toilet paper from the ledge a cockroach crawled from underneath the roll. I will never go back to this restaurant. Thirdly, the food that we ordered was very bland, overcooked and cold. I will never come back to this place again. Another thing the restaurant needs to improve on is the volume of the music. The music was so loud I had to yell across the table to talk to my sister. The service was terrible, the manager was horrible, and the bathrooms are dirty.

WATCH YOUR CREDIT CARD CHARGES WITH THIS PLACE!!!! We went in there on 6/29/15 with Four families. First of all the waiter we had swore at one of the members in our family because he had to walk back down to the other end of the table to give us our food. Secondly and most importantly one of the families paid $100 in cash and the rest with a credit card. When I viewed my credit card statememnt I was charged an additional $29 more than I SIGNED FOR. We went back in and the manager stated one of the families in our party "walked out" so he divided their bill and added it to the rest of our credit cards without my consent! We showed him that the family he accused of walking out did also pay with their credit card. He quickly gave us back the cash but is it a coincidence that the $100 that was paid in cash that evening equaled the amount that they added to everyone elses credit cards??? Very shady stuff!!

First off one staircase is entirely broken and rusted with steps missing. Took an hour to get my food. Girlfriends burger was a burnt crisp. Her sisters tater tots had no cheese, they took them back and an hour later the tater tots came back, reheated, burnt and still no cheese. Manager was a complete jackass and looked as old, and washed up as his establishment. He then proceeded to give our entire party an attitude complaining like a 12 year old about how he lost $8000 worth of food in his freezer that morning like Its our fault. Not to mention it was 7pm and it should have no impact on the operation of a restaurant. To make it even more entertaining the Manager asked us for our servers name and then SCREAMED at her waving his hands, bringing out his true inner child. 0/10 Would never go again. To the Manager... You Sir, look like a bald troll who got hit too many times in the face with a frying pan.

Food has gone downhill. Ordered burger and tacos, burger came out overcooked and my tacos came out cold. The place had definitely gone downhill......... canopy dirty, chipped paint on counter, rust stains on metal, bar maid with cut off pants that looked sloppy, etc. Your burger comes with a bag of potato chips, you want fries, its extra........ The manager should be fired at once and replaced by someone who cares about the quality of the food and the appearance of the restaurant. I think they are fairly new owners, maybe, they should sell.........It is a total disgrace that a fun place for food and drinks has gone so drastically downhill. Youll get better quality service and food at a fast food drive thru.

Myself, my wife, and my 4 year old daughter walked in to a friendly welcome by multiple staff members. The waitress was very helpful with making suggestions from the menu. The rum runner my wife ordered was fruity and delicious. I got jumbo blackened wing, fantastic. My wife also got the Sunset Shrimp platter. Shrimp was amazing. Fries were so good. My daughter got the grilled cheese and said it was "mmmm good". We also got the Tachos (tarot tots covered in cheese, onions, sour cream, black olives, lettuce, and more. WOW! Soooo good. I dont like black olives though, in which my wife does, so I picked them off. The overall experience was awesome.

This place has a lot of potential. Fantastic location with great sunset views, pretty good parking and boat dock. The restaurant doesnt seem extremely clean and the paint job could use some help. I had fish and chips and my wife had the grouper sandwich. The food isnt terrible but It tastes like something I could get where I live in the Midwest. A restaurant that is on the water this close to the beach should taste more fresh. The fish had no flavor and was covered in breading that made it hard to get to it. There are much better restaurants in Anna Maria island just a short drive away.

Went here with the bad reviews in mind but decided to try it for oursleves. Had a blast! The food was delicious, staff was awesome, and the view was great. Both the general manager and the owner came by at different times to check and make sure everything was satisfactory. Spoke with the new owner about all the renovations he has done. The place looks great. The other review about someone driving into the bay is a terrible joke. The owner actually stayed open feeding all the first responders while they were working. Will go again next time we are out here.

I went to "Shark Tales" at 6:00 pm on Sunday 12/28/2015 with a total of four people. I approached the host and asked if they still serve food since theyve changed owners and names since I have been to visit. I was told... and I quote, "We do but the servers is tired and has worked a long shift." To my disbelief he then suggested we go somewhere else. So we did just that. I cant imagine they will be open much longer at this rate. Maybe then I will lease the building and show them how to run a business.
