It makes me laugh how hard they are trying to make this place a pretentious hipster spot. Even the most very basic thing youd expect to find at a coffee shop (a cup of coffee), theyve managed to complicate and the staff is all too eager to pejoratively tell you "our house coffee is an Americano." But I could get over that and learn to love this place if the service wasnt so atrocious. Ive been here twice and both times the woman working treats me like I have no place being there and its killing her having to serve people today. Also, they only have 2% or soy milk, so if youre like me and believe coffee deserves whole milk or creamer, youre out of luck my friend.

The staff is very rude. Ive given them 3 opportunities. The coffee is decent and its awesome they open at 7. A few of other local coffee places open at 8 or 9 but that is too late for me to stop before my commute. I cant go back though. The staff is not only rude, they are slow. And dont about your pastry even if 15 minutes have passed and you have watched half a dozen people leave that came in after you. Theyll let you know they will get to you when they get to you and point out it is rude to ask. Unbelievable experience....

I was very excited when I learned that a specialty coffee shop was opening right in Takoma Park! La Mano Coffee Bar definitely exceeded my expectations with a brilliant cup of Ceremonys Kenyan coffee. The barista definitely brewed it beautifully (using a pour over method), because it tasted exactly like the tasting notes--"Maple Syrup and Molasses-y." They also have delicious bagels, freshly baked pastries, and their cream cheese was astounding. I look forward to my next trip there!

La Mano is a small coffee shop one block from Takoma Metro Station on the Red Line. If youre looking for a sit down coffee shop to do work at all day long, this isnt your spot. They only have one very thin wall table with a few high chairs. However, if you want a quality cup of joe and a breakfast sandwich served with a smile, this is your place! Their coffee is quality and I enjoyed their chocolate doughnut, which they affectionately called a "glazed bagel."

I arranged a meeting at My Little Bistro. For some reason, it was closed on Saturday. That led to my discovery of La Mano Coffee Bar. Real friendly cozy place. My colleague was impressed that they actually serve "loose leaf" tea. Their "hand pie" blueberry was flaky and delicious. Their cup of chai latte was very nice. Not too spicy or too sweet that can become nauseous. It was just right. I hope to see it stay in business.

I dont know wtf this one reviewer is talking about. I had zero problems with service and um, creamer was right there with everything else, like every coffee shop Ive ever been to. My only regret is that I dont live in the area so I cant visit on the reg, but Im glad to know theres a place in TP that serves a great cup. Baristas were friendly (almost got me to buy a sweet-a$$ insulated bottle). Good stuff.

Great little coffee spot. The cappacinos are exceptional. And they have wonderful scones. The only slight downside is that there isnt much seating, so sometimes its tight. Maybe not the best place to meet a friend for coffee (unless youre lucky enough to get the one table!) But I love the coffee and baked goods. Staff is friendly, too!

The coffee is very good, the food isnt bad but, geez, the staff could take some lessons on customer service. We ordered coffee for here but they made it to go. It sat on the counter a long time because we thought it wasnt ours and then they acted offended when we asked. We get that its a busy place but its not like we did something wrong.

Fave baristas in the DMV who pull fab Ceremony roasted espresso beans and pour the best cortado ever!!! (And - no - I wasnt paid off in extra shots to write this review!) ALSO...their organic egg, cheese and chorizo breakfast biscuit is worth making a drive across town for... ditto their house-made glazed donuts!!!

My neighborhood coffee shop. I come here 2-3 times a week to get coffee on my way to work. Their drip coffee, lattes, and hojichas are all great. Breakfast is delicious here too. You gotta get the bagel or biscuit egg and cheese sandwich. Or try out their freshly made scones, muffins, and hand pies.

I love this place! My son (infant) and I go every weekend. The coffee is amazing and the biscuit breakfast sandwiches are so yummy! Also, all the delicious (with gluten free and vegan options) baked goods are baked in house and are to die for - do not pass up the fig bars!

Small coffee shop with good espresso drinks and a surprisingly large food selection. I had one of their lattes which was very good as well as their kale and feta quiche. Its pretty small inside with limited seating, so its good for a quick stop, not really to linger.

Great coffee spot right by Takoma Metro station. I had a breakfast sandwich and a mocha. Theyre fresh local and Im so happy they carry Ceremony Coffee too! Staff is friendly and very good at remembering faces and your favorite order. Small spot with a big heart.

I stop by here as often as possible for their slow drip ice brews. You will take a sip and wonder why you drink anything else! Theres also a selection of food and snacks and some art/literature to look at and buy. The tiny coffeeshop with a lot of mojo.

Coffee is amazing. The bagels are amazing - especially the cranberry orange. The donuts are SO GOOD. Theyve got a great variety of food - yogurt bowls, hand pies, quiches, biscuit sandwiches - all made in house.

I was told to get the lavender iced coffee from an acquaintance and its honestly the best iced coffee drink Ive ever had. I generally ask for a few extra squirts of their lavender concoction b/c its that good!

Nice local coffee bar. They grind and sale beans which seemed to be very popular. Had their own take on drinks including a spicy mocha for fall which was good

Freshly brewed and masterfully crafted coffee in a quaint little shop. Only issue is trying to find parking nearby to get that much needed caffeine fix!

Honestly, one of the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. The baristas are knowledgeable and the coffee is top notch.
