Ive been coming to Kefa Cafe since I was about 13. For the past 17 years, Ive been coming here not just for the excellent drinks and food, but also for the warm, amazing customer service. Its the epitome of a homey coffee shop, with truly excellent beverages in a comfortable setting. My faves: The chai (hot, blended or over ice you cant go wrong) The coffee (strong and delicious) The cinnamon tea (spicy and yum) The chicken salad (oh God so so good) The quiche (get it early because it goes fast!) Seriously, its so good. Try it out!

Do you want to break the connection and have some humanly connection, this NO WIFI" coffee shop will give you what you may have missed on the net. This is my favorite spot in town, and I proudly invite others to come with friends and family and enjoy the best coffee in town. Your barista goes above and beyond to make your experience as delicious as their coffee.

Went there as part of a small business meetup group visit for wornen. It was just too small to accommodate us. The owner was sociable and warm, though. If you are looking to support international women owned businesses then take a friend for a sit down or a small intimate book club and enjoy a variety of Ethiopian coffee. Its also at the ground level of the Silver Spring library.

Kefa Cafe is a great little coffee shop, a few yards away from mainstream traffic. The environment is always warm and friendly; the sisters always ask about your day and are excited to help out with with menu choices. Great place to enjoy a book, chat with friends, or grab a cup to go!

Amazing place Lenny and Abeba are great people who own the place, and tbey know their customers extremely well making it feel like home. Service and coffee is extremely good, beans coming from a local roastery (nagadi) and their coffee mug collection is impressive.

I searched for A good coffee ☕ experince in the area and found this place. Im Ethiopian so I know a good coffee and this place is the only place that has it from all the coffee palaces in the entire DMV area. I love the service too. I will Definetly visit more.

Absolute best coffee shop in silver spring. The sisters who own the shop are two of the nicest people I have ever met. The coffee tastes great and the food options from pastries to sandwiches are all delicious. An absolute community gem for the area.
