I just want to say that my birthday celebration at Lounge 201 was definitely one to remember. My guest and I enjoyed ourselves very much and Im still recieving so many phone calls, e-mails and text from family and friends about how nice the private Executive VIP room and the atmosphere was. Family and friends are already talking about contacting the lounge staff for assistance in planning future events. The accomodations were great, the food was wonderful and everything was so upscale, classy and super chic. I truly celebrated my 30th birthday with class and style and look forward to celebrating other events with Lounge 201. I would definitely mention this place for people who are looking for a trendy lounge to host events. Oh and by the way, the bartender Danielle did an excellent job of accomodating all of my guest request for drinks and kept the drinks nice all night long!!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for an amazing 30th birthday that I will never forget.

This has got to be the most disgusting bar and restaurant in the district. The place wreaks of mildew. I wish I could say a nice thing about their General Manager who was on duty at noon on 9-11-16 but it would take me too long to search for a kinda word to say about this unprofessional classless characte. Incredibly rude and crass. She rudely dismissed me when they turned off my game without even talking to me to find a solution. I unequivocally do not recommend this place. The only good thing I can say about this place is that their bartenders are kind and much more professional than the General manager. I would love to speak with the owner about this interaction.

The Director of Operations name Brad Ingwell said no to all of my ideas even though I was told yes by Mike and Paige Farrall over a month ago. I have all the emails to prove it. He was rude, yelling at me and accused me of lying even though 3 people heard Mike say yes to all of my ideas!!! He didnt want Mike to be a part of this meeting even though we all were told us yes. Why because Brad said "I may get ghetto, start a fight and were all adults". Lounge 201 are RACIST and dont want black people business or black planned parties!!!!!!! My party would have been on TV and given them more business!!!!!!

Dont be fooled by the hype: theres nothing particularly "hip" or "upscale" about this joint. Nevertheless, Lounge 201 is a perfectly decent, reasonably welcoming DC lounge. The prices are on the high side but reasonable for The Hill, the beer selection is good, and the grub is dependably tasty (although completely unoriginal). While probably not a great place to impress a client, Lounge 201 shouldnt be written off as a good place to meet friends after work or a nice venue for your next casual function. ***/*****

I visited 201 Bar for the first time recently after an event at the Dirksen Senate Office Building. I was there with colleagues, so drinks and appetizers were free. Maybe thats why the drinks were a little weak, but the appetizers (spring rolls, pizza, and caprese kabobs) were pretty yummy. I liked the decor and overall atmosphere. My verdict: I would definitely go back if the opportunity presented itself.

Its a safe go-to bar for the area, an easy walk from Union Station and north of Capitol Hill. I came for two networking events held here, both in the Executive Lounge (room in back of the bar). The space was intimate and conducive for the presentations and conversations. I had some rounds of house white and mini appetizers. The steak on a stick was juicy, the best!!

Lounge 201 has changed a great deal. The new cocktail menu is not as good as the old one, but on the flip side the food is better and cheaper than it was before. Service can be tough when they are busy as well. If you get a chance, their sweet potato fries are absolutely fantastic.

Stopped by after a business with some colleagues. The bartenders were slow and had quite an attitude. There was no table service so we had to deal with the slow bar service. There were 10 people at the bar and we couldnt get service. We went on Wed at 9pm.

Enjoyable atmosphere for Husker games. Family friendly, but bar food is a little pricey. Also, NO changing facilities (Koala Care Changing Station) for those with little ones still in diapers.

I liked it. It got a bit crowded, but it was nice for a basement bar and got lively. The crowd was a bit young, seemed like a lot of fresh out of college types. The bathroom as a bit janky.

Very handy location, kind of modern/50ish decor, easy meeting place for drinks after work. Attracts a lot of senate staff. I have never tried the food and cant imagine it is all that good.

My fave bartender worked here for years. It was a staple in my after work repertoire. Good place for a quiet chat after work as its usually not too crowded.

This place is cool. Mixed crowd. Decent happy hour specials. Nice venue. Need to do better on the bathrooms though, somewhat gross.
