At last, an ayce Korean BBQ opened near my parents! I waited and waited and finally my brother was home for the holidays for us to visit! We came for Saturday dinner and was surprised at how empty the restaurant was. Perhaps the college kids had left for winter break - it was literally a ghost town at 7pm. Before coming, we were debating whether or not to opt for the sushi and BBQ deal - but once we arrived, we quickly learned that they had gotten rid of the sushi ayce option. Korean BBQ it was! Although it was ayce, the selection of meat was very limited. The options only included pork belly, pork ribs, or chicken. Craving some red meat? $2 additional cost per order. Fortunately, the pork belly and pork ribs were quite tasty! We just stuck to the basics and were satisfied. They had a banchan station with about dozen selection (pigs feet, spicy soba noodles, sweet potato tempura, beef dumplings, various kimchi, etc). Unfortunately, they all looked as if they had been sitting around all afternoon. All the sauces in each dish looked dry and crusty. If not dried out, they were drenched in hot chili oil. We nevertheless still gave each a try. Surprisingly, They werent actually as bad as they looked! My personal favorites were the spicy fish rice cake and beans sprout! If only they were freshly made. By 8pm, they took away half of the banchan and never cared to bring new ones out. And we thought they were closing... Our server had only two tables to serve but was too busy watching the football game over us. When foods were out, we had to specifically hunt staffs down to beg for more. Not sure how long this establishment is going to last. But with the way its running, doubt I will have a chance to give it a second try.

I went with two other friends, and we had a horrible time. We ordered three rice dishes, and when our food got there they forgot our rice! The food was not good at all, so we decided to get gelato. They had "the waffle and gelato" dessert which look really good in the picture. And, it was once it got to our table. However, the price for each gelato was $3.50 on the menu and $6.50 for the waffle and gelato, but once the check came they wanted to charge $6.50 for the waffle plus $3.50 for each scoop of gelato!!! I had three scoops, why would you say the waffle with gelato cost one thing, then charge for each scoop. So, just one waffle cost $6.50?! Our server Paula was really nice, however she was not properly trained. She did not know anything about the menu, she forgot our chopsticks, napkins, and she said she would separate our checks into three, then said she couldnt. Once our check came they tried to charge for drinks we did not ordered or received, we asked to speak with the manager and when he came to our table said "what do you want?" It took 1 hour just to get the check!!! We live in Alexandria and were in College Park still at 10pm. We asked for the check at 9pm. It was the worst experience, it could all have been okay if they at least tried to be polite and helpful. However, they decided to be rude and very aggressive when they communicated with us. I give it a one star since no star is not an option.

It was average all around. I give it a solid OK rating as a place I wouldnt mind eating at again, but would probably not seek out to sate my craving for Korean food. Ordered 김치전 (kimchi pancake) 김치찌개 (kimchi stew) and the all you can meat buffet. The pancake was a little too thick for my taste, the stew was not boiling hot, (which is what Im used to, but not necessarily a ding on them). The meat quality was quite good for the price. If you go here, definitely get the bbq buffet. Service was a little disorganized. It seemed like servers were not assigned zones or specific tables, as we were asked by four people if we were ready to order/if we had been served. For the size and intent of the restaurant, you really need a dedicated server per table, but our server had to split time and (imo unsanitarily) cooking utensils among multiple tables. Luckily, I know my way around a grill and gave our server a little break from constantly slaving over the table, unfortunately, our server still had difficulty finding the time to refill our water pitcher.

My wife and I seldom get out on our own (young kids), so when we had the chance for a date, we chose this place. I honestly cannot understand some of the lower star reviews here. Our experience was excellent! My wife grew up in an area with LOTS of Korean BBQ restaurants, so her expectations are high - and this place met them consistently. Nice ambience and music. Great service! When there was a small misunderstanding about our order due to language, they didnt skip a beat and took responsibility immediately. I ordered the sushi BBQ buffet @ ~$13 for all you can eat. Amazingly good sushi chef offered to make whatever I saw was lacking. The sushi BBQ buffet meat options were chicken and pork (bulgogi) only, so my wife ordered their signature short ribs (kalbi) and we split that. Unbelievably good beef, and again - she knows good from bad. In summary, this place is fantastic. We rarely get to go out like this, and wouldnt have done it differently. Were already planning to take family there when they are in town.

My friend and I were looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately we never got to because of some horrible service. We got there before a lot of people. But soon after, a large crowd arrived and our waiter ignored us to serve the larger table. Our raw meat was sitting on our table uncooked for about 15 minutes. After multiple attempts to notify the waiter failed, my friend and I left because we didnt want to eat meat that wasnt fresh and clearly no one wanted to serve us. I understand that being a waiter can be a tough job but you need to let your customers know that you acknowledge them and will get to them eventually instead of ignoring them completely. Another minor detail was that the white rice wasnt cooked very well. It was dry and didnt look fresh. You cant mess up white rice at an Asian restaurant!

Delicious food for a reasonable price in a great atmosphere with awesome people working there. There are full menus for both Korean BBQ and Korean single dishes, including hot pots. You have to check it out to see how it can be a regular spot for you. Enjoy the snow ice, Asahi Superdry, and perfectly fried mandoo as well! The only downside is not the restaurant itself, but its parking lot that does not offer many spaces and has tight turns getting in and out of it. If you plan on enjoying the drinks or dont want to run the risk of hitting cars, I encourage you to take Lyft or Uber. Please come in casual wear because you will be eating and possibly cooking too...no sense worrying about messing up your clothes while having so much fun.

One of the best Korean BBQs in the area and it is located right in College Park. I recently went with 5 of my friends and I must say I was impressed. We all decided to have their all you can eat option A which includes all their meat selection from Steak, pork, bellies, beef brisket, spicy pork, etc. I recommend getting soju (Korean rice liquor 20% alcohol) to eat with the meats because it goes so well together (Think of it as Filet mignon and red wine). The service was very good even though the place was packed on a Thursday night and the atmosphere very hip. If you get the all you can eat option, be ready to stay for a few hours. We were there for about 2 and half hours and crushed 9 soju bottles.
