After being evacuated from the Outer Banks due to Hurricane Earl, we decided to head up to Hershey Park to finish our vacation before heading back to our home in New York. After 10 hours of driving, we decided to pull off the highway to find someplace to eat. We happened across a small strip mall with 4 or 5 restaurants....mexican food, a Japanese steak house, and a wood fired pizza restaurant......none of which really appealed to our group of four. So I approached a beautiful young woman that was enjoying a cup of coffee at one of the outdoor tables at the pizza parlor and asked her if she knew of any good Italian restaurants in the area. She thought I was kidding......then without being put off in the least bit, explained to me that Facci WAS an Italian restaurant that offered alot more than just pizza......and that she wasnt a customer, but rather, the owner!!! She explained that her name was Lisa Passalacqua and she insisted that we come inside for a quick tour of the restaurant. Clearly, we never expected that there would be such a well decorated Bistro in the middle of a strip mall!!! Lisa immediately sat our party of four at a nice booth inside and sent over her best waiter. The food we ordered came out quickly and was absolutely delicious!!! It was definitely the best Chicken Parm I have ever had. The other three entrees we had had were equally as good. Lisa then insisted that we must try the Nutella pizza.....which we did.....and it was devoured within 30 seconds. The second best part of our experience was when the check arrived.....four entrees and drinks for less than $70!!! If we ever wander down from NY to this area again, we will make it point to seek out Facci and our new friend Lisa for another mouth watering meal.

I called the restaurant to see what the wait was and was told 10-15 minutes. I live across the street and asked if they have call-ahead seating. I was told no. 4 minutes later when I arrived the wait had gone to 25-30 minutes. While standing at the door I overheard one of the hostesses talking on the phone and then wrote down someones name on the waiting list. I immediately questioned the hostess and she told me that she didnt do what she just had done. I pressed her and she said one of the managers was on the phone and told her to put the persons name on the list. I was extremely upset at this since the hostess was now arguing with me over their no call-ahead seating policy and just did it for someone. I asked to speak to a manager and eventually someone who claimed to be the owner came over and told me that they were wrong and should not have put the persons name on the list without them being there. I highly doubt this is the first time this has happened since I have observed poor customer service from the hostesses station before, I just havent ever said anything and even after saying something I do not feel that the situation was handled well. This is not just a problem of hiring young girls to staff the hostess station who have zero customer relations, this stems from a top down management disregard for the customer. There is choice of where to spend my money -- I choose to go to a restaurant that is not duplicitous and treats customers with respect. I will eat elsewhere.

Their pizza was wet and floppy. Not sure if it was too much sauce + thin crust or if they didnt cook it long enough, but it was impossible to eat without a fork and nice. The sauce, cheese and toppings tasted fine. Having lived in Brooklyn for six years, I found it borderline offensive to eat my pizza with a fork and night. If they had cooked it longer, I think the crust would have firmed up. I had the chocolate turtle for dessert. It was the best part of the meal. It was a Saturday night, so the restaurant was packed. I had to strain to listen to the conversation around the table. I would recommend going on an off-night esp. if you have a large group. I thought the bar was oddly placed, but the decor looked fine. The waiter disappeared after the food was delivered. My wife and kids sat for a while without a refill of their ice water.

I had a lunch date here and every thing was pretty good. The bruschetta was nice, the tomatoes still fresh even though it was late in the season. The meatball appetizer was also good, though the sauce was left a little to be desired. I had the gnocchi, and it was beautiful. The gnocchi was firm and tasty, the sauce not overpowering the dish. Service was prompt and helpful, even though it was a busy service. It has a nice outdoor seating area with a heater that I would definitely like to try. Both of my dining companions loved their pasts and seafood, all of us mentioning we would definitely be back. However, the bread they served when you sit down isnt awesome - but it doesnt affect the whole meal. I know, I know - how hard is it to get Italian far right? Hard, trust me. But this place does it, and does it with style. Great place.

This place gets two stars only for their choice of three Malbecs by the glass. Its unnecessarily really dark such that I needed a flashlight to read the menu. Enough with the ambience! For that level of noise (loud) they could turn up the lights a bit. They have tons of young kid waiters running food but no consistent service from one person who is paying attention, so I agree with the lousy management comments. They are either hovering to get you out of there but if you need something theres no one around. The hostess saw a large spill of beer next to us and just ignored it. Oh, if the food were worth it theyd get another star, but its just another overpriced suburban restaurant with mediocre food. Definitely nothing special and I wouldnt wait in line another hour for a table here. The bar was too crowded to sit and it doubles as a sports bar.

Bartenders were less than attentive. Had to wave one of them down in order to get a drink. Not enough bartending staff to handle how busy the place was on a Wednesday night. Our group had made arrangements ahead of time to have a get together there, and staff didnt seem to know where we were supposed to be seated, even though mangement had been advised ahead of time. Two different servers ran into me (hard), while I stood at the bar trying to get a drink, and one guy that seemed to be a manager "covering" the smaller bar - completely ignored me. Im 6 tall with long blonde hair - Im hard to miss. Also, his hair was greasy - or had too much product in it. Clean up if you are going to serve the public, please! Very poor service. The wait staff was better than the bartending staff. The food was acceptable, but nothing spectacular.

Normally excellent food and service; however, we did have problem at brunch today. We ordered the fritatta with a side of breakfast potatoes. The frotatta was excellent. The problem was with the potatoes. When they first arrived at the table they were cold. I complained to the waiter an was brought a replacement. They were barely luke warm this time. When the waiter stpped by to inquire about the potatoes I told him they were barely luke warm . He apologized and asked if I wanted another order. I told him there was no point as I ad little faith they would get it right on the third attempt. I informed the manager, Shea (sp?) who said he would address the problem with the itchen. Bottom line if you have brunch here and get the bteakfast potatoes: Ask them to throw the potatoes on the grill and warm them before serving them to you.
