The ambiance is a typical American bar/restaurant. As we walked in, we were greeted by friendly hostess and we were given seat right away. The menu selection is ok, meaning nothing grand but not less, it was just ok but their wine and drink menu is like a lot to choose from. I ordered for a Berrylicious drink but couldnt taste the berries/strawberry at all. For the appetizer, we ordered Drunken tots which is a weird combination of potato tots, beer, pork belly and cheese. Really weird and we also got the warm crab dip (picture below) which really hit the spots as the pretzel bread and the dip goes together really well. For the entree, i must say I have better margharita pizza than any other places, i only ate one slice and the Mojo Tacos is weird also as the pulled pork is cold, it wouldve taste better if they serve it hot not cold. I give the place 3-stars, nothing fancy to convince me to go back again, it was just ok but the servers are really friendly and nice.

We were looking for a new restaurant to check out in the Waldorf/LaPlata area and we decided on the Red Oak Bistro. Im so glad we did!! OMG!!! The food and drinks were PHENOMENAL!! We both ordrered the Pineapple/Jalapeno Martini, we agreed it was the BEST mixed martini we ever tasted! I ordered the Pineapple Jalapeno Avocado Crab Stack, it was SIMPLY AMAZING, the ingredients were fresh and the presentation of the food made it more appetizing. My BFF ordered the crab cakes small plate, it was DELECTABLE! Our server, Ashley was great! If you live within the 301 corridor, I highly recommend this place, great drinks, great food, good music, and the prices are very reasonable!! We will be returning VERY SOON!!

Awesome selection of unique beers. Ive had a couple meals. One time the main meal was pretty good, another time the pizza was decent. Unfortunately I ordered the calamari and no exaggeration, it was the worst Ive ever had. Very soggy (no crisp at all) and served without lemon. And it was so rubbery it was difficult to even try to chew. I gave up after 4 bites. I love calamari but this was terrible. Service was friendly but a little slow (and it wasnt a busy evening either). Best to steer clear of that and do other meals. And definitely the beers and wonderful.

This spot usually our regularly date day. I usually get the same thing. fried green tomato blt and those delicious asiago fries!!!! The servers could be a tad bit better but the day atmosphere is great since we dont like loud places. The drinks are very strong and my husband likes the selection of beers. At night time its a happening place so if you dont like lots of ppl and kinda loud just go during the day. Kinda pricey as well but since I loves those asiago fries they can take my money!

If the word "mixologist" is in your vocabulary, youll love the Red Oak Bistro. Expert drink-makers will concoct a crafty cocktail just for you, based on your preference. You can ask for a favorite: fruity and mild, or boozy with Redemption Rye and Abracadabra! A cocktail appears before you! Saturday nights feature a Live Band performance where your favorite wine, beer or spirit paired with a tasty selection of appetizers is the perfect accompaniment.

Great Beer and cocktails. Nice service. Mediocre food. Calamari - very salty, too much Old Bay seasoning, and soggy. My prime rib was a bit dry and my wife received the wrong cheeseburger. She ordered a bacon cheeseburger, but got something with bacon jam on it? So stop in for a drink. But think twice about dinner.

Everytime I visit this wonderful establishment im suprised with a different dish that seems to have the Wow effect. The menu is always changing adding seasonal flavor. I have yet to taste something here I dont like. Drinks are great and service matches. On the weekend they have live music as well.

Came for brunch, was disappointed by huevos rancheros - clearly the cook had never had them as they were missing the promised cheese and avocado, and had replaced the rancheros sauce with salsa and heated nothing but the eggs. The wait staff was polite and courteous. Maybe dinner is better?

Love this place but your experience depends on the server you get. Some are very knowledgeable of the menu. I have had a few bad servers also had a lot of great servers!! I think the bartenders tend to be the best and informative of the menu. Good is always great!!!

We enjoy the live music here. The food is excellent and the service is the same. If you like a dirty martini see Crystal. The atmosphere is classy, sophisticated with a friendly smile. The seafood is outstanding and local. A nice chill area outside for smoking.

Stopped at Red Oak Bistro on way to Charlestown SC from Vermont. A great find! Great menu and tasty food. Extremely friendly staff, made us feel right at home! On our way back to Vermont we stopped there again. Nothing changed....Great all around.

Great food, wonderful craft cocktails, huge selection of craft beer, amazing outdoor patio with corn hole, and a welcoming Southern Maryland vibe all make this an awesome addition to the area. Highly recommend you give it a try!

Excellent beer selection, updated frequently. The food is very good and the service is usually great- prompt, friendly, and efficient. One of my favorite local places. Can sometimes be crowded on weekends. Highly recommend.

Beer choices are pretty good wether craft on tap or bottle choices, food is very good but varies depending on which afternoon you come in. Its either great or just good! Bar staff is personable and attentive.

My husband and I have been here twice and both times were great. Delicious food made from scratch, not like a mass-produced chain. Excellent service. Average prices for above average food and experience.

First time...The menu is expensive. Food preparation is slow (dont blame the wait staff). The appetizers were late and cold. Pizza was great, but not worth the cost of going again. Very disappointed.

The food tastes frozen, the service was terrible and, somehow, at 2 in the afternoon, with NO ONE ELSE THERE, the wait staff was inattentive. Terrible place for anyone other than Millennials.

Not bad, but not amazing. Overall I like the theme and decorations but because of the size, half the tables surround the bar and it just depends if that is an environment youre looking for.

Service was fast. Wait staff and greeter very friendly. Food was delicious; I had the mussels, gumbo (a little salty) and MD crab soup. Ambiance was very intimate. Will definitely return.

Great hidden secret. So far our favorite stop on US 301. If nice day, ask for back patio. Great craft brew selection. The Blue Cheese Philly...very yummy, and overly filling. Yum!
