OH MY GOODNESS, I DONT EVEN DRINK AND THIS IS THE BEST BAR EVER! I randomly met up at Bar Deco on a Wednesday, and it was spectacular! I would have been happy with an impeccable menu, ridiculously friendly bartender, and gorgeous ambiance, but it doesnt end there! Midway thorough our conversation, the owner Jesse (who is easy on the eyes), asked if we cared to participate in a raffle for FREE VIP floor seats to that nights Washington Wizards game. We said yes, and even though I was dubious about winning, I still thought it was an incredibly kind gesture to even feature that as part of their "off-menu" offerings. WE WON! We closed our our tab -- and oh, were they faithful about my ice water with lime! -- and headed across the street to Verizon Center. We happily traversed multiple layers of VIP security and were personally escorted to the FLOOR! We had access to a VIP lounge with free, unlimited food and drink, and were not just talking snacks here, people! The culinary options consisted of a carving station, gourmet salad bar, endless desserts, hot dogs, fine meats, freshly-popped corn, an artisan cheese station, and world-famous perogies. THE FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR! We could NOT believe our "good fortune" courtesy of Jesse, and our evening was magical. We would have been happy just to enjoy the beauty and bar atmosphere alone, but Jesses generosity and the VIP tickets made this an extraordinary experience. It was a night to remember. I dont even drink, but if EVER I find myself in Chinatown, near Verizon Center, or anywhere in DC, I will make a POINT of visiting Bar Deco. Many thanks to Jesse, our fantastic bartender, the tremendously kind hostess, and everyone at Bar Deco for making our night unforgettable! THANK YOU, JESSE!!! YOU HAVE CREATED FANS FOR LIFE!!! ***Oh, and I forgot to mention that I accidentally left my phone on the bar, and Jesse chased me down the stairs to return it! IT DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS, PEOPLE! GOOOO!!!!

While I applaud the space and design of Bar Deco, which merges deco and industrial to create a funky and open space, the food needs work. Small sizes, awkward flavors, lack of vegetables, and absurdly high prices are the distinguishing features of the place. I had the brunch burrito, which lacked flavor, vegetables, and any real umphf. A brunch entree runs between $15-25. Small sides are a whopping $8 for mediocrity. Drinks? Dont even think about it. $4 for an iced tea. Yall really need a moment to talk to Jesus because those prices are criminal. The space is cool but not worth it. And their happy hour will run you a shocking $6-10 per drink.

My new favorite brunch spot! The restaurant has three levels of seating. The rooftop bar is perfect on a nice breezy day. The rooftop happens to be a first come first serve situation, so be prepared to grab a drink and hang around in order to grab a table. Bar makes an awesome twisted version of the Moscow Mule named a "Kentucky Mule." Which has Kentucky bourbon instead of the traditional vodka. ***Pro Tip: Schedule a time and day to visit that doesnt overlap with a game at the Verizon Center. Youll have a much easier time finding a table on the rooftop.***

Happening spot, good vibes and great neighborhood feel and perfect for a Friday late afternoon Happy Hour. Rooftop was not open due to weather but we were lucky enough to have a bartender named Zach Powell who was beyond warm and welcoming. As we were leaving we find out he is one of the executive managers, but his staff was extremely efficient. We taste tested different beers and ended up canceling dinner plans and just ate at the bar. If we lived in Washington, this would def be our hangout.

Check your credit card statement. The bartender helped themselves to an extra dollar. I called to raise the issue and was told the manager was too busy ... at 1:30pm on a Saturday and theyd have to call me back. The woman answering the phone knew the information they would need off the top of her head, so I guess this happens pretty often at Bar Deco. I would think credit card fraud by your employees was a pretty big priority, but just another day at Bar Deco.

Neat interior; was very dissatisfied with the food quality was extremely overpriced for the quality. The old fashioned was not at all as it should be. The Cuban sandwich was greasy and dry, the best part of my meal was the seasoned fries. Bartender took our order and never returned-- not for food check, not to close out, nor for additional drink orders. Was less than satisfied to have to track down another server for additional drinks/to close out the tab.

This is obviously here as a bar, the bar reviews are great. I dont recommend eating here, over priced. $14 for two of the smallest fish tacos Ive ever seen, and you dont even get a reach-around in the form of some rice and beans on the plate. The menu says entrees are served with bread. When I asked the server for bread he responded "We dont normally do that but I can see what I can do." Shame we are Caps Season Ticket Holders and wont be back.

Excellent service on the third floor bar tonight. The Cubano I ordered was awesome. The portion size was good and the french fries were on point. The bartenders were so friendly and attentive. Within a minute of sitting at the bar my friend and I were given ice waters and menus without having to ask. I dont normally post reviews so quickly after visiting a place but I had such a good experience that I wanted to give these guys props.

I came here for the first drink of the night, my friend and I were bothered multiple times and were required to give a credit card before they served us (unlike last time). Our ids were checked twice, and we were "checked up on" by two different bartenders and a manager who was sent out specifically to check on us, all within 15 minutes of arriving. No one was friendly

Went during Saturday brunch. The breakfast sandwich with pork belly was good. The pork was well cooked but was a little underwhelmed by the avocado. The sandwich bread was excellent and the sidewinder fries were delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and open. The design is industrial and a little overdone but its still done well.

Went for happy hour and stayed until late. Servers were very accommodating and graceful. I think they serve wine in plastic cups in case someone loses one over the ledge?? Its ok because I think I got more wine that way than in a wine glass. Place got packed at peak hour but staff handled it well. Will definitely come back.

Went for brunch on Sunday around 11am and it was bar seating only if you didnt have a reservation. We didnt have a problem finding a space at the bar. Had the chicken and waffles, which were really good, and the unlimited mimosas. Service was great as well, but expect some sticker shock: my meal was over $60 with tip.

Great atmosphere and super friendly staff, but the food was really disappointing and the prices arent worth it. A drink and food set us back about $40 per person, but of our group of 8 I dont think anyone got something that they thought was good. With so many great restaurants in DC, this place doesnt pass the test.
