When this business was new, it was the place to go to. It was clean, employees were nice, you would see several workers busy and making their bread and the store was packed with customers. This place has went down hill. I stopped in 3 times within 6 months and each time the floor looks dirty. There are no more busy workers making bread and the staff is not the least bit friendly.My last visit was my final straw.The floor was dirty (again), there were no customers, grandpa had a very large dirty plastic tarp laying on the counter top where customers place their food ( he removed it as we approached) Nothing in the store has prices, no busy and friendly workers, bread laying on the dolly cart out in the open not covered where people can walk by to touch, breathe, sneeze and cough on it. The sibling teenagers stared at the person I was with who has a health condition / disability the whole time we were shopping. I stared back, trying to let them know its not nice to stare. The person I was with noticed and said whats going on ? I said they are being rude and staring so Im staring back. The boy smiles and continues to stares as grandpa stands behind and watches his kids behave so inappropriately.Grandpa does not correct them, doesnt say a word to them or even distracts them by giving them another small task to do besides making their customers feel uncomfortable. I toss the granola up onto the counter top ready to purchase. Grandpa walks up and says let me get you another granola bag. I told him "no thank you, we took the time to pick out this one, and thank you anyways." he steps back to let his granddaughter ring us up. She does not greet us.She just stares and tells us the total. We pay her and she hands us our receipt. No thank you, no smiles or small talk. We are your customers. We do not have cooties because of a disability. We deserved respect like any other customer. The teenager family relatives need better morals and it starts with grandpa.

Big Sky has really great bread in a ton of varieties, everything from crusty Italian, to challah, to sweet loafs, to kamut -- you name it. In March they make Irish soda bread that is to DIE for. They also make granola, which is really delicious, but a little pricey. Their other pastries are just so-so. Dont expect a great muffin or croissant or chocolate-chip cookie. They truly excel at bread baking. They also have amazing sandwiches. Their chicken salad is probably the best Ive ever had. You get a choice of which of their homemade breads to have it on too. I always get the sourdough. Its absolutely delicious; its my favorite. They also make their own awesome potato chips, which you can get as a side with your sandwich. Bummer that they are closed on Mondays.

This is by far one of top cafes in the country. Their preservative-free fresh baked bread is amazing... their fresh daily made soups and sandwiches are top notch jam packed. Like moms home cooked meals but better. I pre buy alot of their bread and freeze them for later. Even their bread bags are perfect for storage. Their butters and jams... reminds me of the original recipes old timers.

Really good bread and they make a great sandwich with that bread, like a bakery should they close pretty early, and they have a big lunch rush so expect a little wait for your food. Really though if your looking for a place to get a sandwich on fresh rye bread this is your option in the vicinity of Arden.
