Okay if youre looking for fine dining this isnt the place. This is a true diner experience. The menu was just upgraded, and that is awesome. The best thing to order for breakfast is the southern fried chicken biscuit or the lumber jack meal. Anyway this place is usually very crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings and because of that there is a wait but the food is worth the wait. Sometimes because of the wait when you get your food in 5 minutes its cooled off. But like I said its uber crowded on weekends. The lunch and dinner options are excellent for diner food. The wait staff is nice even though they are overworked. So for all the people saying the food is disgusting that just isnt true. If you want a cozier experience go during the week, when there are no tourists. But sometimes that doesnt work because Kalahari is right there. So give the place a shot choose for yourself but in my opinion this is a good place to eat if youre looking for a diner. Sorry started eating before I remembered I was supposed to take pictures.

We decided to stop on a Sunday night in March 2012 for coffee & dessert. By the way, the entrance to the restaurant was tricky to enter, we ended up passing by it twice, and we kept looking for signs. The restaurant was half full, it almost seemed for a long period of time there were no servers at all. It was about 10-15 minutes before anyone came over to take our order; we were close from just walking out. The restaurant in general seemed unorganized and not the cleanest of all the Perkin’s Restaurants we been too. My wife had a slice of the berry pipe which she liked very much. I had an ice cream sundae, but for some reason, it only came with one scoop of ice cream in a small glass. It was by far the smallest I ever had at any Perkin’s restaurant I’ve been too. Overall, the restaurant was not managed properly; the long wait for a server really ruined the whole atmosphere from the start.

Found black mold on the coffe carafe lid container. I was a former employee and I quit yesterday because I have been severely sick since Ive come into contact with black mold 2 times! My manager made me clean the refrigerator and there were chunks of black mold in there! I was serving a guest and that guest had ordered coffee and I went to get a lid for the carafe and there was black mold on my fingers and all over that lid! (Of course I did not use that lid, I used a different one) but now I have to see a pulmonary doctor for this. I have two ear infections, sinusitis, severe headaches and a terrible cough. Its gotten progressively worse. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY! I called agriculture on them so hopefully they will get it together in there. But please do not eat there. Its not sanitary! you will get sick.

My husband and I went to Perkins one evening after church. I can not tell you how terrible the serice was it took us almost 2 hrs to get out of there we had 3 waitresses He ordered a captains platter that did not come with the advertised fried clam strips I rodered sauteed onions with my clams strips never got them and when I was down to my last bite the manager asked me if id like a bowl of onions to go. we were not even given silver ware and If we would have seen another waitress during our meal we would have asked for it. we were not asked about drink refills or dessert the food was not even tasty and it ended up making me sick. I finally had to ask for the check myself and frustrated about the long waits, lack of service and meal dissapointment i expressed myself only to be offered a cookie. A JOKE

Upon moving up to the Mt. Pocono area (Jul-Aug), while we were looking for a place to live, Perkins was our place of choice due to its location. I think in total weve been four times now, and every time the food has either taken far too long to come out and our server has not been very attentive (refilling waters is a big pet peeve of mine, a former server). Now, if you dont mind those two things above, well, I suppose the food was OK for what the place was, the price wasnt horrible, and, like I said, the location is pretty nice. I wont judge all Perkins based on this location, but if I did Id say Dennys outranks Perkins hands down. (Oh and the milkshakes range from decent to horribly watery, so order with that in mind!)

Yup, its Perkins. If youve been to one, youve been to them all. --- Well, kinda. ---I like this particular Perkins because the wait staff is very friendly and has a local PA vibe. If you go at peak time (Sundays after church, holidays, etc) it might get a bit slow, but any other time the waitresses are fast to take your order and attentive to refills. As far as the PA vibe thing goes, Im referring to the semi-rural culture. The mountainside Hamlet of Mount Pocono is about a mile away. Theres a Super Walmart in the next parking lot. And theres a Tractor Supply store down the road. People are honest, simple, and dont put on airs. Thats refreshing. And this local Perkins really reflects those values.

Ok where do i start, when we got here we waited 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. I got the strawberry pancakes and one of the pancakes where burnt, i ask for breakfast potatoes and got hashbrowns instead, i finished my drink before my meal came, im now finished with my meal and still havent gotten a re-fill and i ask for a second plate when we got our meal, im finished with my food and still havent received a 2nd plate. Food wasnt bad but service definitely was terrible. Also so never gave us any napkins. We are still waiting for her to take our plates and we been done for almost 10. Minutes! Definitely wont come back,

Ill probably never return to this location. Food was just okay, its kind of hard to mess up eggs and hash browns. The employees need a pep talk and class on customer service. If you treat your customers like theyre an inconvenience then more than likely they will not return. If youre reading views to figure out if you want to eat here take my advice and find somewhere else. I would rather drive to Dickson City and eat at Dennys, its worth the drive compared to the type of service youll receive here at this Perkins. Also by no means does this review reflect on other Perkins locations.

We dont eat out a lot. Brought my mother here to enjoy a lunch. The burger WAS HORRIBLE. It looked like it was made from some ultra cheap frozen patty. The texture was nothing like actual meat. It tasted exactly like the burgers we use to get in grade school. My mother ordered an omelette which was just a premade egg patty rolled up with some vegtables. TERRIBLE. When we voiced our concerns with the lady at the front desk (manager?) she said we could help ourselves to a muffin. No thanks.
