Absolute Garbage!!!!!! Im actually writting this as Im sitting in this dreadful place. Service.......Terible. Food...........Sub par, even for diner food. The dining room is half empty, and Im by myself, yet I still have to wait several minutes to be seated. After Im seated, its about 5 min until someone gets my drink order. This woman is so depressing. I dont get a "hello" or "how are you today. All I got was a very rude "whatll you have?" I then wait another ten minutes before she comes back to take my food order, all the while, Im noticing tables around me who have been seated after me, being served their food already. Finally I get to place my order. Sausage gravy over biscuits with a side of scrapple. Seems easy enough, right??? Lol think again. A half an hour later my food comes, and I get served creamed chipped beef over toast, with a side of bacon. WTF????!!!!!!!! Not even close!!!!!! At this point Im so irritated, I just send back the bacon so I can get my scrapple, because I dont feel like waiting for my meal to be replaced. The scrapple comes. Its one little burnt piece, and apparently it costs $3.29. Bullshit!!!!!!! The only good thing I got out of this place???? Now its one less place to consider the next time I go out to eat. I will never set foot in this place again. Thats for sure.

I had never been here before, and am glad I didnt look at Yelp first, because I might not have come. My friends and I were coming from nearby Woodland Beach watching the first sunrise of the year, and wanted a hot breakfast to warm us up. This was perfect! The parking lot looked full (we were told there was a breakfast buffet in the back room that was drawing a crowd,) but there were plenty of tables available at 8:45 am on New Years Day. The five of us ordered 5 different breakfasts, and were all very happy with our food. The pancakes were fluffy and big, the eggs were cooked exactly as we asked, the bacon was perfectly crispy, the biscuit was probably one of the best Ive had, and the service was fast, friendly, and accurate. The place also seemed very clean, which goes a long way in my book. I dont know how the lunch and dinner food is, but I would wholeheartedly recommend the Smyrna Diner for breakfast!

I dont care what anyone says this place sucks big time!!! their food is awful!! and the I had the misfortune of getting the same nasty, witch of a waitress twice! I had gone once during the holidays on my home from shopping and ordered the pancakes they were like eating glue and the same color and when I complained to the witch waitress, she acted like "what do you want me to do?" If she could only read my mind. The second time I was with a friend and had no choice and I got away with coffee and a bagel, my friend not so lucky, they got sick!! Never again!! Maybe people have no clue as to what a great diner is and what great food is and like the nasty wait staff, thats why people love this place.

Welcome to the kingdom of mediocre food, and slightly below average service, and low budget kitchen help. On the upside, no one is violently ill yet! The bathroom was dirty, and overpowered by the smell of air freshener. My food came out wrong, a ham club instead of a turkey blt club so the waitress sent it back to the kitchen and they reassembled my sandwich with all the same parts and just added turkey, they then flung it on my plate. They also reheated a portion of my fries. It was a work of culinary sadness. The sign says best diner in Smyrna, after a Google search, it appears to be the only diner in Smyrna! Unless youre desperate, skip this one folks.

We stopped at the Smyrna Diner for breakfast yesterday morning. Although the dining room was fairly empty, we waited 5 minutes to be seated. Our table was WET ( though still had spills from the previous victims) and so was the seat. We both asked for coffee, were brought one (very weak and bad) coffee and 2 waters. When our food FINALLY came, it was ice cold. We sent it back. It was ok when hottish. The waitress was HORRIBLE. One table had a dirty wet cloth on it when we arrived, still there when we left. We should have gone to the Hardees across the road. We will NEVER go back!

Forget all the nay sayers! Smyrna diner is a quaint, family friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is a little old school with a new touch to it. The staff are courteous and pleasant to deal with. The food is nice. It says homemade vice mass produced, pre prepared and frozen mega chain food. The portions are large for the decent prices too. This diner is the place you take your family to their entire lives. For all you "waiting a WHOLE five minutes" and "land of mediocre food" snobs -if you want some upscale, modern mega star restaurant go someplace else.

Food was fairly good. Although the waitress was pleasant she seemed very distracted. We started with coffee but she only brought one spoon. She said she was getting another one but never did so we shared the one spoon. When our meals arrived she put the plates on the table and started to walk away. We had to remind her that we had no tableware or napkins. Also the wooden chairs and our table were sticky. She got another chair and then said. "All of these tables and chairs need a good cleaning." I would have to think quite a bit before returning.

Last night we stopped by against my better judgment. Since they have moved the food has been awful in my opinion. But we wanted to give them another chance. I got the supposedly "homemade soup". It tasted like salty canned soup. Yuck!! I challenged the waitress about all the vegetables cut up in perfectly tiny square pieces. She said the cook does it. Yea right!! This was a frozen bag of mixed vegetables with beef broth, probably from a can also. I will never eat here again. OH, by the way, the service was poor.

The food was cold and not fresh. I order spaghetti and meatball and my wife ordered the chicken in spicy sauce, my daughter ordered a dish with chicken which she had to put considerable force to cut the chicken. All foods appeared wayy past the cook and served date. I hope you will have a different experience here, but I doubt it. Like this review if you agree and if not dislike it. Be suspicious of any review for this restaurant that tells you it the food was excellent or great! Because it is not.

I have died and went to heaven. For whatever reason it is so hard to get an open face roast beef sandwich w/mashed potatoes and gravy. Its not hard but I can only get it in a few places. This is one, OMG so Good it will melt in your mouth. No grease, just tasty. I will be back !!! Also food is fast. Service is friendly. I am from Washington DC area. Forget getting anything like this at home. I will drive out of my way for this place. Heck I will make a day trip to eat here.
