We are from out of state and saw the amazing reviews for this restaurant so my family thought wed try it on the way back home. This was hands down the worst meal I have ever eaten. I ordered chicken fingers and souvlaki with fries. My brother ordered meat loaf, veggies, soup, and a baked potato and my mother ordered a salad platter with chicken salad and potato salad. The chicken fingers were bland and tough and there was hardly any chicken in the scantily breaded meal. The fries tasted like they had been frozen and cooked in a microwave as they were limp and damp and mealy. Everything in the souvlaki including the pita, was bland and damp, including the lettuce and tomato which were wilted and mushy. My brother relayed that in his meal the skin of the baked potato appeared unwashed and had dirt on it but the meat loaf was ok. Everything had a mild taste to it. My mother relayed that the lettuce in her salad appeared to have been frozen and was soggy and wilted. The sliced egg that was supposed to come with her salad did not appear until the waitress was reminded and the slices of tomato were mushy. There were small bones in her chicken salad so if you eat here with children, beware. The pictures of people and ads all over the table were distracting from her meal and did little to enhance her appetite. The waitress was brusque and unfriendly until the end. We will not be eating here again.

We visited this restaurant because of comments and reviews of others. We were very disappointed. We were seated near the side entrance and almost froze to death. The waitress was pretty fast to respond to our presence, and I explained that our grandson and I wanted to share a Belgium Waffle, He wanted sausage links with his order, and I ordered two eggs with sausage patties. My wife ordered scrambled eggs and sausage patties that came with home fries and toast. When the order arrived, I had one sausage patty and one half of the waffle. My wifes order was one patty short of a meal. The entire order was cold, not warm, cold. After fifteen minutes of waiting, I had to remind the waitress that my meal was short two eggs and one sausage patty, and that my wifes order was short one sausage patty. After about five more minutes the rest of the order arrived, after most of the original order had been consumed. I am a very patient person, and I realize sometimes things happen, but we will never return to this restaurant.

My daughter and I went there for breakfast on Saturday, July 8. We have been many times before simply because this is, by far, the best place to go between Milford and Smyrna! The food is delicious, especially their creamed chipped beef, french toast with butter and powdered sugar (YUM), pancakes, eggs, scrapple, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, blueberry waffles, coffee, tea, applesauce with cinnamon (in place of hashed browns if you prefer)......I could go on and on! Its a very comfy atmosphere and the staff are terrific and very efficient. They are also down-to-earth friendly with a tremendous sense of humor....so relax and enjoy. Sometimes, I feel like I was at a comedy club...lol! The staff always make us feel welcomed. Its a wonderful restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. If you go at least once, you will most likely go back again and again. Our families love this place! You will not be disappointed!

I am surprised there were no reviews! This is the best resteraunt in Smyrna! We (my whole family) have been to Bridgeway numerous times and ALWAYS find the food excellent, even special orders. Portions are quite generous and very filling. Cost is affordable and reasonable for what you get. There is something for everyone, chicken, steak, seafood, pizza, hot & cold sandwhiches, good old fashion dishes as well. The wait staff is PHENOMINAl !!! They have become like family to us. We love you guys! Atmosphere is homey and casual. Alot of regulars.

I have yet to find any restaurant in Kent County that can give the same quality, portions, variety, price, and outstanding service as Bridgeway. We eat mostly supper here at least two days per week, but if you want to start the day off with a bang, try selecting something off the breakfast menu. Try it once and youll be back! Who knows, you might just want to live here for the friendly family atmosphere and great food at Bridgeway. See you there!

My girlfriend and I live in Smyrna. We go to this restaurant about every 2 weeks. Once in awhile we go for breakfast. You cannot beat the food that you get for the price that you pay. The atmosphere is great in this place. There are a lot of regulars that visit this restaurant. The waitresses are always smiling and very friendly. If you ever get a chance stop in and have a meal you will be pleasantly surprised.

Due Kirbys being closed we were in search of a new breakfast spot. We found it. So much fresh cooked food. We didnt need to eat the rest of the day. Then the check came and we were in shock. You would never eat such great food at such a reasonable price at ANY change restaurant. Now we want to go back and try it out for lunch & dinner. Amazing quality food, huge portions and fantastic prices.

Headed back to NY from vacation in DE. We didnt want breakfast at a pull off on the highway. My navigation brought us to Bridge Way where we had an awesome breakfast. The food was served quickly, was steaming hot and way more than we could eat! Lots of friendly faces. We will definitely stop again on our travels!

All my experiences eating at this restaurant have been over the top amazing! I have been eating here for over a year now and the people, food and management are always great. Thank you Bridgeway for always having the most amazing and fresh food and wonderful staff. *The cream of crab soup is one of my favorites =)

Stopped in this morning for breakfast. No one greeted me say myself. Waitress with nice English accent came over and I ordered coffee n a menu. Now waiting about 10-15 mins n she talked with her regular customers n never came to take my order. I put down $2 bucks for my coffee and walked out. Not my day I guess

The food and price can t be beaten. Big plus - breakfast all day!! The speed of service amazing. No sooner we had ordered, the food was piping hot and on the table, it felt like it was conjoured up like a magic trick. If youre travelling down to the MD shore, from points north, you must stop here for food.

A local favorite. Great food at reasonable prices. Open 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Sunday- Thursday and 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM on Friday & Saturday. I have been there over 25 times in the last few years and have always had exceptional service and not one meal that was just average or below. Its one of my favorites.

I have only been to Bridgeway Family Restaurant for picking up carry-out. However when I have been there to pick up my order, I always end up adding some of their delicious desserts. My food has been good from there, the service is remarkable, the Atmosphere is good and the Value of the meal is Great.
