July 3, 2017 - Terrible service, Poor ownership First let me first say I do not put many reviews. When I do, Ill leave a positive and have never a negative. After sleeping on a terrible experience last night, I feel compelled to this morning. My hope is not to deter one from going there, but hopefully ownership learns and improves. Party of 7 adults (including 2 grandmothers) and 5 kids (ages 5-11). We called in advance to see if they can accommodate a reservation for our large party. We were insured over the phone we could and it would not be a problem. We were sat immediately at out table. No wait. Great plus! Placed an order for drinks for the men in our party. Waiter was to return to pick up drink order for the females who wanted a separate drink and did not return for a much long time. Upon inquiry, the girls drinks were delivered significantly later. And the waiter was rude to the females. Placed an order for food. Beside a bowl of chips, we did not obtain an appetizer or entree for well over an 1:15hr - 1:30hr, and only upon requesting food for at least the 5 kids. Waiter agreed stating our kids meal should have come out first but they had not submitted the orders in. Kids tacos appeared to have dry raw cheese, looked prepared at that moment rushed. Our appetizer (Mexican pizza) was burned. Unfortunately we had to leave. We paid for our beverages and kids tacos. What bothers me is not the delay in food, I get that. But the way this was handled. Francesco (manager, bartender and owners son) never left his spot to attend the matter at out table. When we proceeded to the bar to talk to him, several statements were made which were inappropriate from a small business owner: "This is a July 4th weekend, we are short staffed" Francesco - if this was true they should not have taken our reservation. "In other counties it is not uncommon to wait for food for over 1:30hr" Waiter - really?? How does this pertain to us here at this moment! "Im as educated as you" Francesco - not sure why Francesco felt compelled to bring education into this. Has nothing to do with the poor service and his handling of the situation. We never once brought education into the conversation. "Im being harassed by these guys" Francesco to another waiter - I never cursed, raised my voice, and my friend and I were respectful in communicating our issues. This threw me over the top. Really? You are in a service industry. If adequate service is not provided, you better expect people are going to complain. 7:30 reservation and NO food till past 9. With 5 kids!! Read other reviews here, where the poor service is mentioned. On that note, good luck Francesco. Maybe you choose to grow your business model by working on service.

I came here with my best friend and our experience was comically bad. We are from Texas and both love Mexican food. As a Mexican American Ive had my fair share, thus was probably the worst either of us ever have had. The kitchen refused to make a dish without meat stating that my friend didnt know what she was ordering (it is commonly made with cheese or potatoes so this made no sense). Finally after refusing to make the other dish my friend simply asked for a quesadilla without meat on a corn tortilla. My order came out completely oily and bland, and her quesadilla had ACTUAL CANNED CORN IN IT. Of course she didnt realize until she bit into it and by then our waiter had run off. We were one of two tables in the entire restaurant and he never came back to refill our drinks, ask how the food was, or for anything until he brought our check. I have no doubts he realized from afar how displeased we were. I only ate 2 bites, and my friend spent 20 minutes scraping canned corn from her food since it was apparent that the waiter was avoiding us and she was starving. Had he at least come to check on our food, which hers should have been sent back to be remade, refilled our water, or allowed us to make eye contact to call him over I would have rated this place at 2 stars. Bland, oily, poorly seasoned, "Mexican" food with watered down grocery store jar salsa. A sad and pathetic attempt.

This place is TERRIBLE! We had just gotten to Rehoboth and were starving, so we came in here. It was 6:30 then. We sat down, got waters, and werent offered anything else. We waited 30 minutes for chips but they never came. We had to wait for someone to come near our table to ask and the finally we got them. We had to wait another 30 minutes for a Mexican corn appetizer. We didnt get our food until 8:00, and it tasted TERRIBLE! Not to mention our extremely rude waiter who didnt have a care in the world as to whether or not we were happy. This is the least authentic Mexican place in Rehoboth. How does this place have 4 stars? Whenever I come back to Rehoboth, I WILL NOT come here, and I highly suggest that you avoid this place. If you want real mexican go to Mariachi on Wilmington Ave.

First of all the best owners I have ever met. They are very personable and want to make your dinning experience special. They have great fresh food. Its not chicken out of the can like most places are. They have fresh chicken breast. My favorite is the Burrito Placera. They have not been open long and they are still trying to find their niche in the market. I travel once a week 35 miles just to get great Mexican food that is fresh and authentic. Its great for me now because they are never really busy but I know that is going to come to an end soon because the food is too good. They have specials everyday and great fresh guacamole. They serve a lot of different tequilas as well. The average entrees are around $10. Just try it once you will go back.

Hands down the best, most authentic, freshest Mexican food Ive had in this lifetime. I ordered the vegetable enchiladas& it was beautifully plated with colorful Mexican rice & fresh black beans. The salsa was awesome as was the homemade habanero hot sauce and guacamole. My friend had the house margarita & he said it had a good balance of flavor & potency. Waitstaff was friendly & the owner(I assume) came over & asked each table how everything was & made friendly small talk. Overall, It was a great experience & i would totally eat there everyday :)

This place was the highlight of our vacation! Fresh food, good drinks, and friendly staff! The fajitas were delicious, mahi mahi tacos were a treat, sea bass was perfectly cooked. The salsa was fresh and had the perfect amount of heat. We had a pitcher of the blueberry sangria. It wasnt over powering....I was still able to walk out without falling through the door

Not very happy. Skimpy tacos and unfriendly staff. Long wait for food. Not sure why other people like this place. Resort mentality- the next sucker will come along, no need to worry if the patrons are happy. Explanation is that it is "Mexican style". Disgrace to Mexico.

My friends and I came here on vacation and we were completely blown away by the freshness of the drinks and food. It is such a good family business who sticks to their roots. Inviting atmosphere and good people. This is officially our favorite place.
