I love this place. Their pizzas are awesome (besto pesto is possibly my favorite pizza ever!), with a thin-but-not-too-thin crust, fresh and often local ingredients, and as per the name, a wood-fired stove that bakes the pizza perfectly (in 90 seconds?). Its one of the few places where I feel like they actually take the making of the pizzas as an art and craft, and try to keep the focus on that. To accompany the pizza, they also have a few nice bottled/canned craft beer and handmade cocktails (Limoncello was awesome) options available, and the people/vibe and overall service is amazing. Its a small casual food-focused place, but I love how its organized - practical and well thought out. The only bad part is their hours are kinda limited, but that just comes with this kind of operation. Go check it out and have the pesto besto (or is it besto pesto?)!

Friendly staff, fun and simple atmosphere, and amazingly delicious pizza. You cant go wrong with anything on their menu but my personal favorites are the Tomato Pie for something snack sized and a tie between the Mamma Mia! and Besto Pesto for a full pie. Also, their Devil Beans (sweet and spicy pickled green beans) are incredible. They dont always have them so when you see em, get at least 2 containers. Edit: My new favorite pie is the Hog Hog. So freaking good. Keep an eye for it though as its not always on the board.

Best pizza in Newark. I love this place! When I got on campus I needed a go to pizza place. I tried Margheritas, Marios, Amalfi, and Peace of Pizza. Im from Delaware so Ive already had Grottos. Im not a savage. None of them were quite what Im looking for. Finally I found this place and loved it. Only thing keeping this from a five is that their only pizza size is 12 inches. I NEED MORE OF YOUR PIZZA!

Wow what a unique, diverse selection of different, and delicious pizza pies at this spot. If youre looking to munch out in a nice aesthetically pleasing environment with friends and/or family then come right in. Good beer/wine selection as well. I just had to give this spot a positive and deserving peace of mind.

Got a gluten free pizza (the Mama Mia). They were kind enough to inform me that their meat balls has bread crumbs, so we got it 1/2 with and 1/2 without. Crust was burned on the edges (gluten free dough is trickier to work with) and not a lot of meat for the price. A little on the pricey side for a 12 inch pie.

Great pizza! The blue hen quenches my desire for wings and pizza at the same time. Spicy bread is good as well. Lots of local foods and small but decent craft beer in bottles/cans. Service is good, price is fair. Parking is meh... but do yourself a favor and get a pizza from there!

While visiting my son and daughter in law in Elkton, a Sunday brunch of 4 different pizzas was a lovely way to end a nice week end before heading back to Irwin. I recommend trying different pizzas for a variety of left overs. Who would think an egg on a pizza would be a favorite.

Im a straight New York Style Pizza girl and I recommend this place! Service was awesome my pizza came in speed lighting time was surprised. The pizza was amazingly fresh ingredients, love the specialties styles offered and awesome fresh mozzarella!

Wonderful Place, best pizza in the area bar-none. Go here every Sunday for brunch. Their delicious breakfast pizza combined with a friendly atmosphere and free coffee make this the ideal location. Highly Recommend.
