This is the best Chinese place place Ive been to in Middletown, as well as one of the better restaurants overall. The menu is nice and varied, even offering some Japanese and Thai style options. The service has always been great, but I have never eaten inside the restaurant, I always have takeout. I have no real complaints. I can say, however, that I have had Chinese food that was just as good as this or even better for less money and larger portions, although that was not even in Delaware. So, if youre a local, this place cant be beat.

Our Family has been to every Chinese Restaurant in Middletown, DE. The Golden Rooster is by far, much better. The quality and taste of the food surpasses its competitors. The price is also wonderful for the quantity of food you get. We appreciate the Owner and her staff for for a pleasant dining experience and great food every time we walk in the door. The Golden Rooster for us is the farthest from our home, but we never consider the others now, its worth the trip. Just one visit and you will understand.

Excellent food with the loveliest owner (Liai) of this family owned/run business. Wide selection of Chinese and Thai food. Food has always been excellent and we love that she will make tweaks to any dish since she makes it fresh for you when you order. If your in MOT area, this is the place for Chinese / Thai food!

I love this place. My wife and I eat-in, but they also have take out. The eat-in section isnt the biggest, but that is made up by the food. The Fried Wontons are amazing. Ive had the orange chicken and mei fun and a few other wishes, but those two stand out as my favorite. i would recommend checking it out.

If you are in the area and looking for Chinese or Thai food take out, this place is the best in my opinion. Food tastes so fresh. I recommend the curry shrimp from the Thai part of the menu. Its so delicious and they give you a big enough portion for two dinners.

Service was slow and i was about to leave until i saw a customer who said their food was worth it. Believe it or not their food was delicious and I am so happy i didnt end up leaving. The best in Middletown and the owner is just a friendly lady

Really good food here ... The fried rice is amazing egg rolls are great.. the quality of beef in the beef and broccoli is amazing its better than your average Chinese place im mad I didnt go here sooner will definitely be returning !

Ive only tried one dish (the General Tsos combo) but it was mediocre in flavor and rather expensive. I got the impression that they do better Thai than standard Chinese. Ill have to try the Pad Thai next time.

Love the food. You have to wait for good quality authentic Chinese so dont expect to run in and out unless you call in an order. We have been eating here since she opened and have never had a complaint.
