Went for Dinner - great food, great ambiance and great service. Ambiance is just right - provides you with a cozy feeling and dim lights and comfortable seats .. there is a little space outside .. but my wife and I love to be in the restaurant thats build for us .. so - we were in!! Service - straight up quick questions on our tastes - wow that was great - gave us enough time - prepared us with how the food will taste and how long will it take... Food - GREAT PRESENTATION - I believe we eat with our eyes first! And amazing taste - I have had Mediterranean cuisine in Chicago - this place has the authenticity and taste - its great! Then Why NOT an EXCELLENT !!! Purely portion size - its surely VFM - Value for Money but - When I order my main course for dinner anywhere in the world ...anywhere I expect a certain portion size - that was missing. But you must try it for the taste and authenticity.

We had a very unpleasant experience trying to bring a stroller with a jet lagged sleeping toddler to the patio at 5:30pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 10 people on a patio which seats 40. The owner initially had me shove my son in the gap between the potted plant and the wall but then came back to make us leave (in a very rude tone) before we ordered because of fire code prohibiting strollers. I came back to speak with her about the incident after Id calmed down; another couple who saw the whole thing made a point to tell me that the owner was way out of line in her treatment of us. Reading the reviews of overpriced tiny bland portions and indifferent service makes me think we got lucky - we had an acceptable meal with correct and courteous service on a patio right around the corner, no fire code concerns. We wont be trying Cactus Rose again.

When my wife and I come here, we usually order the things we have ordered previously and enjoyed. We usually sit at the bar & eat, and the bartenders (Brittany in the past, Angel in the present) are attentive and friendly. Owner always greets us graciously and after we are served inquires about how our experience has been. Dos Equis clams are my favorite, especially with the broth & bread.

Smug, rude staff & management; seem to think they are doing everyone a favor being here....tons of ridiculous up selling, $25 margarita that was only 3 or 4 sips, mediocre food. Wouldnt go back on someone elses expense account.

**CLOSED** as of 11/3 care about guests having a nice evening, the experience and meal would be so-so. But with indifference one gets the impression they're doing you a huge favor just showing up at your table. Pass.

The food here is incredible! The seafood bisque is wonderfully tasty and satisfying and i also strongly recommend the Costa Rican Tilapia. The environment is perfect for a date! And is conveniently close to the movies.

Interesting food. You know its good because the portions are tiny. The decor is very interesting, very bright. Its fairly expensive, so make sure you go there for work lunches.
