I wasted a lot of time in Willimantic before I finally tried out this place. If youre getting your coffee anyplace else, stop it and head to Cafemantic immediately. Their Breakfast Sandwich (bacon, sausage, or.. prosciutto?!) is a work of art, but you really cant go wrong on their breakfast menu. Youd have to drive to New Haven to find somewhere else with quality of selection like this. Im a sucker for the pulled pork sandwich at lunchtime. Dinner has some great tapas-style items--having worked for awhile in Spanish-style cuisine, I can say their chimichurri steak dish is top notch. But the real winner is the atmosphere. Here you can find families dining in a restaurant-style experience next to single patrons reading over a hot brew, with both feeling perfectly at home. It works just as well as a bistro or a coffee house. And Ill tell you, theres no better way to work on a thesis than nestled by the window with a few of their small plates at dinnertime.

Staff: very informative and friendly Price: you need a couple of plates to be full. Being said the prices are overpriced. Plate size: good for a young child. An adult would definitely order at least 2 plates to feel full. Seating area: intimate, a tad cold in temperature, small tables for small parties of people Menu: scarce options. They vary but the food was good in general. Mac and cheese with peas and ham. It was very good and creamy and not salty. The korean bbq chicken was my favorite! Very well done! Season nicely and not too salty. The extra tomato onion part was not eaten so I can not comment on that portion. Kale salad was good as well. Slightly overpriced. Fizzy drink was good since it was a juice that had no sugar. Food came out fast. Wish The bill was 10$ cheaper but I understand why since it is a small business. Nice place.

What a gem this place is. For Main St. in Willimantic, Cafemantic brings back some of the charm the citys been lacking in past years. Their basic coffee is amazing, not to mention all of their specialty drinks. They have a small but delicious menu with paninis, salads, etc. The service has always been wonderful; polite, consistent, and helpful. You can tell they are well trained and know what they are taking about. The atmosphere is great; relaxing with local artwork, a variety of lighting and earthy colors. The music played has been a mix of classical, indie rock and other subtle genres. If youre looking for the speed of a Starbucks in Times Square, you wont get it. They are efficient in making all of their drinks well and to order, something everyone should have the patience for! One of my favorite "hole in the walls!"

Met a friend for lunch there today and had a great experience as well as food. I had a chicken salad sandwich. which had a wonderful and different flavor. Finally realized it was because the roll had been toasted or grilled, resulting in a caramelized flavor and texture. Had fresh greens on the side. My friend had the fritatta, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was patient as my friend and I caught up with each other. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will make this a "go-to" venue in the area.

4.7 stars? Talk about under delivering. Service was average to slow. Definitely not attentive. The good: Whipped Riccota, handmade pasta, Flounder Ceviche. The bland: Lamb Meatballs, Oysters, Mussels and the desert. Maybe this place stands out to some because it is in Willimantic? Who knows. But its not an almost 5 star restaurant. I had just eaten at Davios in Boston. When you consider the differences and the fact that the bills were close, this should be more of a 3 star place.

Ive eaten there for lunch and dinner. Lunch menu is mostly sandwiches: recommend the chicken salad. Surprisingly good selections of cold and hot small plates at dinner. New American cuisine. Has a decent espresso bar (but not quite up to Seattle standards). Service is a bit haphazard, but is worth putting up with for best food currently available in Willimantic.

Exception food and service! I took my mother here and was no disappointed at the least. Cafemantic has a very unique "hipster" aesthetic to it which really adds to the experience. My smoked salmon sandwich was perfection and the pulled pork sandwich was also amazing. Very nice selection of food and drinks. Would love to go back for live music! Highly recommend.

Went here for a special occasion since we knew we would want to try a lot! This is a tapas style/farm to table type menu. My husband and I got 1 appetizer and 4 small plates and were very full! The atmosphere was pleasant and decor was obviously trendy and warm. I wish the seating was a little less open for date night but would be perfect for a small group.

My girlfriend and I consider this our favorite spot for Date Night. Gnocchi, Hanger Steak, and Sea Scallops are our favorites, but weve loved everything weve tried. The coffee and cappuccino are the best in Willi, and half priced wine on Sundays gets the cost of a good French bottle easily within reach.

I enjoyed everything from the ambiance, service, and the food!! I wish that there were more restaurants like Cafemantic. I cant wait to come up again to this restaurant. I wish that I lived nearer to this restaurant. The food is so good, I may consider moving. I will be returning soon for the fall menu!

The coffee, food, service and decor of this cafe are outstanding! Very welcoming and comfortable, with Starbucks-ish prices (but way better quality!). The atmosphere and clientele are a little hipster/liberal weenie-ish for my taste... but who cares? Everything else there is top notch.

Excellent service and the food was totally amazing and I never say that. Cheese plate was just delightful and they have a chickpea salad that will tantalize your taste buds. The fresh artisan bread and butter is really worth a try. Love this place my new favorite. 10/10 guys.

Its hard to find good food, but this place exceeded expectations for what a dinning experience should be. The food is outstanding, and the service is fast and friendly. Prices are great, especially for the quality. Definitely dont miss your chance to eat here.

"Meh." Thats how I describe this place. Its not terrible, but its definitely not a 4.7 star place. The food, for what you get and the slow service, is not worth the price. Im not saying I regret going there, but Ill definitely never go back

The best food I have had in northeast CT in 26 years living here. 2 small plates, potatoes and salad, and 2 entrees, steak and salmon, were uniformly outstanding. Service attentive and unobtrusive, setting warm and inviting.

Great little spot in Willimantic. Does not try too hard to be hip yet is. Good food and portion sizes. Extended menu items include produce from local vendors. Nice selection of beers. Would recommend the jerk chicken.
