I ate here for lunch primarily because it is close to my office and because Yahoo was promoting Bricco as home to one of the best sandwiches in the country. Despite this high praise, Im sad to say the Lobster and Havarti cheese is overrated, bland and overpriced. This glorified Wonderbread grilled cheese sandwich (with tiny hunks of lobster) will set you back $15 plus tax. Add a drink and youre well past $20 on lunch before tipping. Make no mistake, Ill gladly spend a twenty spot on lunch, but I expect my investment to be returned with an excellent meal. The Bricco experience couldnt have missed my expectation farther. If I wanted to dump $20 on grilled cheese I could go home, toast one up, and tear up a bank note. At least then Id be able to enjoy the comfort of my own home. The service and ambiance left a lot to be desired as well. Do yourself a favor, if you find yourself in the West Hartford area, take a pass on this place. As for me, I left zero tip, and zero chance for repeat business. Billy Grant, I award you an F- for the day.

Went on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my Moms 80th birthday. We were a party of seven. I dine out often and this restaurant was selected for its great food. The service was poor. Our waiter was not attentive; maybe had too many tables. As the restaurant cleared out around 3 everyone was busy preparing for dinner and our waiter was more concerned about getting plates out than coming to our table. At the end we figured he knew they were going to include the gratuity because we were a party of seven so maybe he just figured he would get the tip whether he was good or bad... unfortunate. They do come around with one piece of bread for each of us; we asked for more but never got it. The food was ok but not great. I had the spaghetti clemente and it would have been better with angel hair not thick spaghetti. All in all as a group nobody was happy with the food or the service and with so many good restaurants out there we wont return to this one.

I am a young 21 year old and I frequent West Hartford Center for great places to eat; however, I have Celiac Disease so finding Gluten Free restaurants is hard. I was suggested to Bricco on a date and ever since then I have become a repeat customer. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the menu opens a window of opportunities for people who have Celiac Disease. The staff is more than helpful when it comes to finding accommodations for meals that typically have wheat/gluten products. It was an overall fantastic experience and I recommend this posh restaurant to everyone I come across. Thank you for an amazing experience and thank you for having a Gluten Free Friendly menu. I am sure to return within the next few weeks. Compliments to your staff and chefs and THANK YOU for an amazing time.

Antipasti, salad, pizza! My sister and I had the mozzarella burrata on a crostoni with arugula, strawberries, and balsamic vinaigrette and it was awesome. For our meal, we had the Toscana salad and pizza with wild mushrooms and prosciutto. The food was absolutely wonderful. We split the antipasti, salad, and the pizza. The price was as expected, about $20 each. I feel that it was well worth the money. Our waitress, Jennifer, was attentive but not overly so. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is because we ordered cappuccino for after our meal and it was only lukewarm. The cappuccino machine was not functioning properly and this was known, therefore it should not have been served to us. I would definitely go back there.

Me and my family went there to celebrate our sons 21st birthday. The only thing that was good was that the waitress was nice. Based on the reviews, it was definitely not what I expected. To be honest with you, the place is over priced for the small amount of food that was given. The food was just OK. My daughters love pasta but they didnt really like their pasta dinner tonight. $22 each for a small plate of pasta with some seafood in it... NEVER AGAIN!!! Waste of money. Almost $200 for a family dinner and no one really liked their meal besides my husband.

Excellent food, exceptional service, and great atmosphere. My family has been going to Bricco for the past 10 years and this continues to be one of our favorite places. The menu changes seasonally but they also keep some favorites on the menu. I like to try something new every time and Ive never been disappointed. My husband has ordered penne vodka with shrimp every time for the past 10 years and hasnt been disappointed either ☺️ Its upscale enough for us parents but kid-friendly enough that we are comfortable bringing young kids. Love this place!

Great dinner here this weekend. Brought the finicky kids and they loved their meals. Salmon, NY Strip and appetizers all great. Really enjoyed the home made sausage with braised escarole and white beans. The only complaint came from my husband. He had the short ribs and it was a very small portion. It was thirty dollars and he left hungry. He said if they had given him a salad it would have been better. Loved the meal but way too small. Cant wait to go back and try the cheeses and salumi with a nice glass of cabernet.

My favorite restaurant since I was a kid and the only place my wife and I go for our birthdays. The atmosphere is warm and lively during both lunch and dinner, any day of the week. The menu is quietly loaded with accents of originality, like the spread they give you for the bread, or the breaded potato cake you get under the tuna steak, which both taste terrific. Every meal Ive ever had there has been memorable and I look forward to many more visits in the future.

Except for the fish bone, bay leaf, and lemon seed that were in the dishes we ordered, the food was pretty good. However, the service we received at the restaurant was pretty bad. When I showed the bone, leaf, and seed to the server, her response was "ok?" In addition, she was very short and unfriendly throughout the meal. Although the food was pretty good, the service did not make the meal a pleasent experience, and I will not be returning.

Let me start by saying that I have an eating disorder, one where Ive never finished a meal in my entire life. Ive always left something on my plate even if I wasnt full because mentally I couldnt bring myself to finish the meal. But this meal, the BBQ salmon, was the first time in my life Id finished any meal. I actually cried- this food is phenomenal. I HIGHLY recommend eating here- chef Emily is recommended highly!!

The restaurant is extremely loud and the food was nothing spectacular. After waiting about an hour to get the table, we sit down and cannot even hear each other because of how loud it was. The waitress did not seem very knowledgeable about the food and the bartender also did not seem to know what they even stocked.

Refused to accomodate my order saying (the chef refuses to do this) and not because it was not available. They also were very rude When i asked for my drinks check to leave, they were more than glad that I was leaving. On my way out they recommended a "cheaper less Italian" place down the street.
