Popped in on a Tuesday evening for a few burgers and beer, was wildly unsurprised by the experience. Restaurant-wide seat yourself means our waitress didnt even know we were there (not her fault) for 20 minutes. The coffee I ordered came out cool enough for me to drink it immediately, and all in one gulp (so just over room temp). Our two rare, one mid-rare burgers came out as two very well done, one inedible burnt patty, respectively, about 45 minutes after the order was placed. Mind you, it was not an especially busy evening, this location just has an incredibly slow and inept kitchen staff. Our waitress was a delight, even if she spent the vast majority of the evening apologizing for how slow everything moved. Ultimately, I did not stay to voice my complaint in person, because after almost two hours, I simply wanted to leave. The staff is kind, and this particular restaurant has been struggling to make a decent name for itself since it moved in, but 6 or so months in, and they still havent found their footing.

Hate is a strong word so I chose disliked (in description when two stars are selected). First, had to get up 3 times because waitress was not on top of her game. Stuff like silverware and napkins were not provided. Ketchup as well. They come together as well but had to request napkins then silverware. Wow! Second, all the food we ordered was killed by jalapeños. The beans tasted like the chicken dish and vice versa because all flavor was killed. Plus our dishes were almost warm. Not quite. 2nd wow! Tortilla dish was god aweful disgusting. Stale and salty tortillas, just plain poor food. However my veggie wrap was good. Flavorful, no jalapeños and almost hot! Third, huge chunk of glass was under our table so toddlers should not be going under tables at all. Beautiful night and nice patio to people watch and enjoy the sun on your face but perhaps only with drinks. This seems best with a bud or two for a drink or two.

Absolutely horrible. The only reason we tried this plane b/c thee read a huge wait st the Cheesecake Factory. First- there is no sign that seats yourself do we waited up there for over five minutes. Two-we had a very hungry 15 month old and 8 year old with us, it took just about an hour to get the food. The kids were losing it. Three-I had to go search for the waitress across the restaurant (with a 15 month old dragging on me) to ask why the food was taking so long. We were waiting on French fries, who knew French fries took an hour to cook? four- when the food FINALLY came they gave the 8 year old a grilled cheese instead of Mac n cheese. Five- the food definitely gave me food poisoning!! The only plus was the manager gave us our food for free b/c it took so long and gave us a messed up order. I will NeVER recommend this place to anyone. Horrible service & now Im home sick.

I have no serious issues with this place, just a few minor ones. We went on a Sunday evening, and while the outdoor tables were full (there arent many), the inside seemed mostly empty. We started with a soft pretzel appetizer. We thought it was taking a long time to come out, but realized it was just coming with our meals, so we were going back and forth between that and our food. The pretzel itself was okay, and they were out of one of the dipping sauces that unfortunately sounded pretty good, the other two were okay. I got the Philly Burger (mushrooms, onions, provolone), it was a bit overdone but overall just fine. I also tried a bite of the baked mac & cheese, which was also fine.

I must have been very lucky so far. I have read so many negative reviews, yet Ive been to this place about half a dozen times in the last few months, and never had a bad experience. Yesterday was another typical visit. The service wasnt super fast, but it was reasonable, and the waitress was nice. My wife and I think the food is good. It was HH and I had a chicken quesadilla. It had lots of chicken, plus guacamole, sour cream and salsa. I would have considered it a good deal at the regular price, but for $5 it was a great deal! Plus a really good local craft beer on tap- for about $3! its a little too loud. But thats the only criticism I have about the place.

i only gave an extra star because the happy hour prices were reasonable. You seat yourself, which is not a problem, but there is no visible sign saying to do so, which causes some confusion. We barely saw our server, often having to find someone else to help us. the food came out cold, but I was worried about how long it would take to get it back again. My burger was messed up even after the server double checked with me about what I wanted. The restaurant was not busy. if you want some cheap food and beer at happy hour, its ok, but you better have some time aside and be fine with cold food that may not be what you ordered.

To be fair I did not eat here. I have enjoyed other Bar Louie locations and was excited to try this one. We arrived on a Friday night and were told, "Its open seating. You can sit wherever you like." This might make sense on a slow weeknight with an abundance of open tables, but it makes none on a busy Friday night with several groups already waiting. So, the choices were to hover and try to beat those arriving after us to a table or leave. Bye-bye Bar Louie!

The absolute worst! You walk in and they yell out "its open seating... sit where you want" The waitress took forever to come over, no silver wear, no water! Brought us our iced tea which was warm and the ice had melted! But the Best is The Hair that comes with the veggie flatbread! Disgusting because it was in my MOUTH! Yes and there was a waitress wearing short shorts that should not bend down in front of you... all and all it sucked!

Abismal service! I have never waited sooooo long to get food, a cocktail or even WATER!?!? When the food did come out (after repeat reminders) half the order was wrong and the other half was lower than room temp. Speaking of the temp of the room, they didnt have the AC on and the dining room was hotter than it was outside, on an 85 degree summer day. This place needs to SHUT DOWN, fire everyone, hire and train a new crew and try again.

If I had the option would have given zero stars. Took 45 minutes to get drinks, might want to remove bar from the name. Food took over an hour and they forgot to put in 2 entrees. Should have went to McDonalds across the street. Although I suppose I could always eat my tuna tomorrow after I actually cook it. Itll keep well since the center is still almost frozen. At least the bacon in the drink was cooked..

Good food and drinks. The happy hour specials are good too. The reason why I cant give it more stars is that the whole place is "seat yourself". It Bar Louie is crowded, and it often is, finding a table involves circling through the establishment waiting for someone to leave their table. On a busy night, I find this to be too much work and usually go elsewhere.
