ME

Meg Carriero

Do my bf and I went in on Friday around 6 pm. There was some sort of happy hour buffet our server didnt bother to mention but we could see. As she brought our menus she asked us what we wanted to drink. My bf asked what local beers they had on tap she said she didnt know. She then said they gave a lot of ipas and summer ales. Thats great and all but its not like all ipas and summer ales are made locally. I noticed she worked behind the bar as well as taking care of our table. Now I think anyone working at an alehouse whether strictly server or bartender should be knowledgeable in beer. Better training is most certainly needed. We ordered.i got a side of to and 6 buffalo hot wings.my boyfriend got buffalo chicken grilled cheese. She brought his grilled cheese out then said the rest of the order would be ready in a few minutes. Where in the world is it okay to bring 1 persons good out when the other persons isnt even ready yet? 4 minutes later she brought mine out. My water was empty she didnt bother to refill it until much later in the meal. She never asked if I wanted ranch it blue cheese she brought blue cheese I cant eat it. Their famous wings were boring. They werent that hot, they were small, and not prepared well. The tots were bland, but at least they were crispy. My bf said his grilled cheese tasted as he expected it to. I will not go back there again.

This place sucks in so many ways. Where to begin... How about the entrance/exit... its a short 30° incline so expect to bottom out in a car while trying to turn off the Post Rd, and again when you leave, unless theres no traffic whatsoever and you have time to take it *very* slow. Next up: service. No one wants the extra tab, so the servers will wander past you multiple times, avoiding eye contact, until one of them has an attack of conscience or something and reluctantly greets you. Im guessing they split the tips evenly, so theyre all fighting to do the least amount of work in a shift. Menu: no one knows whats on it or how to place an order correctly, so dont bother with questions or modifications. They love to offer you wings, though, because thats all they can remember, and its hard to screw that up. If you order anything else, expect to experience that feeling you get when you ask for no (blank) on your (blank) and they casually set it down in front of you with (blank) clearly visible, and then get annoyed when you dont want it. You might need a flare gun to get the check, by the way, or for a refill on your drinks. Also, I couldnt help but notice they have cameras here, which is eerie, but I suppose it makes sense because the urge to flee is almost overwhelming when you have to wait 20 minutes to close your tab.

Well, Ive never left a place because of poor service, but theres a first time for everything! Someone mentioned on TripAdvisor that if youre a female "good luck getting a drink": thats exactly what happened. I arrived and the gal acted as if I wasnt there. Waited a few minutes, then ended up going to the end of the bar, hoping Id be seen, WAVED AT HER, and she finally asked what I needed. Ordered a beer, finished it, hoping to have another, but after five or more minutes, NADA! So I left... Nice selection of beer, which is why Im giving it TWO stars, but really...hire some better people!

Absolutely horrible service. When we asked them if they served us the incorrect type of alcohol the other bartender blatantly said "he probably lied to your face" when he served you the wrong one. The bar was dead we were the only ones sitting and eating and when the food came out they forgot our name/ tab because it had been so long that they even checked on us. A really good tip they missed out on.

Good for happy hours. If you go there with a golf scorecard you can get a free drink for it. It doesnt look like much from the outside but inside it hugee. Tons of cork dart boards and a nice pool table in the back area. Drinks are a reasonable price too. Bartenders are smokin hot for the most part

Great hang out among the locals - if you like bars / taverns, this is for you. If not, well, dont go to a bar or tavern. If you like beer options, they have some decent choices.

Happy hour was great and the food was amazing for free during happy hour. Pizza, pasta and chicken parmesan, plus a cheese tray with pepperoni and crackers. Even salad.

A very solid bar, although there is nothing particularly noteworthy going on here. Its more of a 3.5 star type of place to me.
