I wish I could give zero stars. My friend and I went to eat at the McDonalds down the street. I wrote part of this review while I was there because Cantina was that horrible. The service had to be the worst part of the experience. Not only for its lack of hospitality skills but the fact that they just did not care. The only reason I know the service took an ungodly amount of time to even pay attention to us was because my parking was about to expire. My friend and I walked in and were seated right away, a few moments later we were provided water. The host was very friendly although he went a little overboard with our choices in seat selection. The place was not full so we didnt care where we sat so instead of just picking the seat based on staffing and crowd for us he kept asking every two feet, "do you like this table?" I know to some this may seem like he was just doing his job and being nice, which I agree with, but it was rather annoying. We just wanted to sit down quickly. Despite that little annoyance things looked good, but it was downhill from there. It was a good 15-20 minutes until the waitress came over to take our order. We placed it along with ordering a simple Sprite. Another 15 minutes and few shared glances with the waitress later the soda came but was completely wrong! She brought over a Coke. The waitress corrected it but when my friend went to go take a sip it tasted like Sprite mixed with ginger ale. I had a water that was not refilled at all. Im eating at a restaurant that serves spicy food, refilling a customers water should be a reflex. Meanwhile while we waited we watched the waitress just wander around the restaurant barely paying any attention to us and again sharing glances. Finally she came over and realized she never served us our food. She apologized and told us that the restaurant was "slammed" and offered us chips and salsa. First, isnt chips and salsa supposed to come with the table? Secondly, we ordered the brisket nachos as an appetizer. If you can bring us chips and salsa you can bring us our nachos. It is almost the same meal. Moments later miraculously our brisket nachos came out. Meanwhile I already had to extend my parking because its been over 40 minutes. As we dove into the brisket nachos we noticed one thing was missing...BRISKET! There was a dab or two on one of the sides of the plate but that was it! At that point with the wait, the incompetent service we had had enough. We got up and began putting on our coats and spotted the runner coming out with our taco order. We told him we were leaving and just walked right out. NO ONE EVEN STOPPED US. Poor service, poor timing, poor everything. Close up already and give the restaurant space to someone else who deserves it.

I went to Cantina on May 20 around 8:00 pm to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We were a party of six. Three of us arrived first and asked to be seated for six. The restaurant was nearly empty at this point. We were sat at a four person table with only three chairs. After waiting a few minutes to ask our waiter to move to a table for six people, no waiter came to the table, so we moved ourselves to a table meant for six people. A waiter promptly came over and, without even greeting us in any way, snapped “who told you you can sit here. I’m leaving at 9:30, you need to be gone by then.” Ignoring how rude he was, we waited a few minutes for the remaining three people to arrive. Despite being told we needed to leave by 9:30, we had to flag down our waiter, in an empty restaurant, just to order drinks , as he never came back to our table. Two people ordered mojitos and they were undrinkable. The mojitos were pure lime juice. The two people who ordered mojitos sent them back and asked for mango margaritas. These were equally as repulsive and tasted like playdough. One person tried to order another drink and the waiter again snapped at her “you can’t have any other drinks. You’re wasting alcohol.” We asked for a manager, and he was even ruder than his server. He snapped at us that our waiter wasn’t rude, that it was a “language barrier”, which is odd because the table next to us spoke in Spanish to the waiter, and the table next to us had continuous complaints about their service and food, too. He, too, refused to acknowledge that his staff was slow, incompetent, and most importantly, rude. After attempting to have a civil conversation regarding our concerns, the manager walked away with zero resolutions. Despite being told we had to leave at 9:30, our food and check did not even come until 9:35, over an hour and half after we were seated. On top of it all, the food was disgusting. Three of the people in the party got sick after dinner. I have many friends in the restaurant industry, from bartenders to restaurant owners. I have never in my life received service like this, and I eat out three to four nights a week. This place is the worst run restaurant I’ve ever been to. Kody Johnson has absolutely no business working as a manager in this industry.

That first person who wrote a long review about them sounds way to pompous to even be in a place like that Im sorry but this place is good dont feed into that crap. Way to picky as a customer. If thats how you like it so be it but dont leave a long bash on this restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone! Great atmosphere great food awesome margaritas and great staff. Celebrating my birthday there this coming saturday and CAN NOT wait!

My husband and I went for drinks on a Friday and they had reverse Happy Hour from 7-10pm. $5 beers and mixed drinks for $7. We shared a an appetizer of chicken quesadillas. The food was delicious and the waitress attentive to our requests. The eatery also has live entertainment starting at 10pm but we didnt stay that long. Overall, a cool place for drinks, eats and a nice time!

The food was decent. The reason for a 3 rating is the bartender Shannon. There were only 6 seats filled in her bar out of 20 or so available and it was impossible to get a drink. Look, Im sure if I waved at her I could have got what I wanted but I had to ask for chips and salsa, had to ask for water, more salsa and she never asked if I wanted another margarita.

I was out with friends last night and the food was really good but the service was terrible! We got there around 5:30 and it was not busy and we waited 15 min for a drink. We moved to a big table near the window. Again waited for drinks, etc. and our waitress never came over to see how everything was!
