I only tried one item, the mussels, with fries. The presentation was nice, and alot of them considering it was not a main course. Unfortunately, they were terrible as was the wine sauce they were overcooked in. Tasteless with a rubbery consistency, the masticating action required could have been offset somewhat if the mariniera was palatable but it tasted as if the recipe had called for lemon, some herbs, white wine and vinegar to be boiled without regard to time or quantity of ingredients. I would have given 1 star but the fries were semi decent...the place has nice ambiance so I can picture a good.time with better food and good company

Our favorite go to casual restaurant. The folks that run 1020, and the folks that take care of us are wonderful and very attentive. We feel like "family" here - go there a few times, make the effort to be pleasant and you will be "family" too! The food is consistently good, with always good soups and seafood. Sunday is 1/2 price per wine bottle - a great way to discover yummy wines from their great wine lists. Its Darien, so yes, the crowd leans towards preppy and loud, but thats just happy noise! Theres a patio out back which is pleasant and quiet. Truly a wonderful spot to enjoy oneself, have a good meal and be well served!

I have been to 1020 Post several times and have found the service excellent each time. When the weather is mild there is an outside area for dining. The menu is focused on seafood and the food is always very good.

Maybe I had too high of expectations but I was not thrilled with my dinner at Ten Twenty Post. The food was good but $25+ entrees I expected a bit more. The staff was nice enough but nothing to write home about.
