Bartenders, Denise and other Blond bartender, (Name ?) feed their buddies free Shots, Beer and Cocktails all night. These bartenders tend to treat other bar customers like us as if we are a distraction to their fun filled night. Blond bartender, ignores (supposedly the senior of the two) eats off other patrons plates. YES, I SAID EATS OFF OTHER PATRONS PLATES, AFTER THEY ARE DONE. Overheard the blond bartender stating; "I am going to punch that customer in the face," thinking that no one heard her. Lots of talking behind customers backs between the two. Lots of free alcohol being given out as I observed between 8:30 pm and 12:15 am. I observed approximately 45 occasions of free alcohol being handed out by Denise and Blond bartender. Denise and Blond bartender only engage with new customers when they want to sell you another drink, otherwise, you are invisible and they dont find it appropriate to make conversation. Few to no female patrons, only a bunch of "Billie Bob," patrons, that these two bartenders seem to have relationships with, beyond the normal course of being a bartender, as I repeatedly observed (sometimes intense) public displays affection, where the bartenders came around the bar. A very uncomfortable feeling for a new patron. I had a burger and fries, which I thought was very good. There was no follow up on my order. No offering of desert, etc. I got to sing Karaoke several times which was fun. Mary the Karaoke DJ was pleasant, although there were long lapses in her presence as the entertainer. After observing all of the free drinks being handed out, and when I briefly stated to Bartender, Denise, "So, you guys give buy backs, to customers who are here most of the evening," she believed that I was asking her for a free drink. Denise, proceeded to act like she did not know what a "buy back" was, and then went to snicker on the other end of the bar with the Blond bartender. Although Denise stated that she would have her supervisor (The Blond) come over to me, she never came over. So, for approximately 4-hours, I sat there without one buy back, while I watched all of these Bartenders Billy Bob regulars and friends, repeatedly get free shots, beers and drinks. As a result I left a big fat ZERO tip, with an asterisk (*) that said; "No buy back." A buy back, (complimentary Drink) is a small showing of the Bartenders (establishments) appreciation to the patron for doing business at their establishment, and usually a Bartender will compliment at least one drink throughout the evening. Certainly if they are giving out free drinks to their friends, they normally show good business decorum to other commoners (like me) and offer the same. Instead, these two bartenders made me feel like an outcast, unwelcome, a distraction to their private party. I wont return to the Lumberyard Pub. I dont like and or appreciate being treated like a distraction. I dont like not being considered while others are being fed free drinks throughout the night. Its frankly rude and discourteous. The Permittees of the Lumberyard Pub should know that these two are giving away their booze for free, by way of Shots, Beer and Mixed Drinks, through this witnesses observations on the evening of February 24, 2017. The State of Connecticut Liquor Commission should know that these two young, irresponsible girls are feeding patrons (Only their groupies) Shots, Beer and Mixed Drinks, for free and to the potential detriment of the general public and to the detriment to the State of Connecticuts Tax Revenue Base. The Lumberyard Pubs Permittees and State of Connecticut Liquor Commission (although I do not believe it to be illegal) should be informed that these two bartenders are doing shots in excess behind the bar, while supposedly assuming the responsibility of serving alcoholic beverages to the general public, i.e. serving patrons, while operating with impaired judgement. If you want to be treated like an outsider and unwelcome, and have a 75% Male Ratio to 25% Female ratio, go to Lumberyard Pub.

I really wanted to like this place. Went on a Monday night and it was slow. Drinks were about the only thing OK all night long. Frickles were overpriced for the tiny serving you were given, and the dipping sauce wasnt all that great. Burgers were at least nicely sized. The medium rare burger came out a little on the rare side (my husband was luckily OK with that), but my no pink well burger was medium at best. The burgers were served on the cheapest buns you can imagine, and couldnt even stand up to the burgers. They were soggy within minutes, and the burger had to be eaten with a fork and knife. The fries were good, but the cauliflower tabbouleh was awful. It was overpowering of garlic (and this is hard to do for someone that LOVES garlic), and was simply chopped cauliflower with about 4 halves of cherry tomato mixed in. Service was also pretty slow, although kind. I know this place is new, but unless they get an entirely new menu, I wont be going back nor recommending it to others. I really wanted to like this place, but I cant imagine this place staying in business very long.

First Impression was horrible. Went on a Saturday evening for dinner. We ordered the cheese curds and they came out barely cooked. Hard and cold in the center. We asked them to put them back in the fryer which they did. They came back out and were good but the garlic dipping sauce was awful. I ordered the Lumberyard burger and when it came out I could tell right away they dont form their patties fresh. Obviously frozen patties and no flavor at all. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it came out with 5 little chunks of chicken in it. Wont be going back. Disappointed.

Going to give them the a break since they just opened. Wednesday night 6:00 seating. Took 20 minutes to get a beer. Took 45 minutes to get appetizers, bone in wings with ranch on the side and Poutine. The wings came boneless and never got the side of ranch but was charged .50 extra for it. Server forgot the Poutine, she said it will be up in 4 minutes, 20 minutes later it arrived. Food was good if not correct. We will give them another chance but first impressions go a long ways for a new business.

We never got the chance to eat. We were told by a male server to seat ourselves on the patio. 6:45 pm on Mothers day. Waited for 7-8 minutes for menus. When our server finally arrived with menus, we were told that the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes and that they were only serving burgers and apps. She stated the reason being that the busy day had "really set them back". Disappointing 1st impression. May or may not stop back.

We heard a few great bands at the Lumberyard when we were there. The atmosphere was charged and the music excellent. The space is fairly cramped for bands, however, since it seems the Lumberyard is set up more to be a sports bar with a pool table and video games. The Guiness was fresh and a variety of chicken wings were all tasty. I cant comment on the rest of the menu or mixed drinks.

This is the second time Ive reviewed this place because I see that my previous negative review was taken down. Any establishment that has to remove their bad reviews isnt the kind of place where you want to spend your money. Food was terrible, service was slow, and my 8 year old was served boneless wings with RAW chicken inside.
