I frequent this place. Obviously because I am Asian. Ive dined here alone but more often than not, Id be with my half-irish/half-korean friend and another friend, two of my favorite former coworkers. Last night I was here alone, waiting for my friend (half irish/korean) and I was seated at the table playing with my phone when this bartender Nick came and asked me if Im ok. I said Im fine. Then he continued to say ridiculous words like hes trying to make sure Im ok because "you know there are people that..." then he pat my back, I did not like it and I told - Im fine dude! and then I saw his face getting upset and forced his hand to handshake with me it was really ridiculously disgusting! I was horrified at his behaviour to me last night, I left and did not put any tip. I was really angry at how this guy treated me last night. I dont think Ill ever set foot in this place. Ever.

My family and I have enjoyed Asian Bistro for many, many years. We recommend you to all of our friends. However; last night, my 19 year old son, Daniel, and his Valentine date were at Asian Bistro in Shelton, CT. They dined Hibachi style. Daniel told us that the meal and atmosphere were great. Their bill was $42.00. My son paid the bill with $60.00 cash, but the waiter never asked my son if he needed change back nor did the waiter ever return. I find that very unprofessional and dishonorable of the waiter. An experience like this can damage the reputation of a restaurant. I am hoping this was just an isolated incident and not the practice of the wait-staff to take advantage of young customers. Regrettably yours, Thomas Slosser

Horrible service and completely overpriced! They charge you for refills at $2.00 even a kids cup fountain refill. I wanted no egg on my rice and they charged me for the whole cup of rice plain even thou it came with my combo. I will Never return! The waitress was horrible and the manager was very rude. First and last experience! I would of been okay if the service was great but added that with ripping you off with every $2.00 charge they can think of. I laughed so much to realize why they love America so much! They stare at you like you owe them additional tip! You better work at your customer service skills. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone.

It was my first time dining at Asian bistro and the food was good but the waitress sucks.she was unattended & unmannerly. She shows no sense of appreciation and has no customer service. she was so rude that when my husband saw her passes he asked for some hot sauce and she was like ...WHAT????? And he repeat himself not realizing her response until she walked away, When she did brought it, she knock it on the table and walk away, it wasnt even f**kin hot said it was black pepper gains like come on people, Who need a service like this?

I just left this restaurant and the service was horrible!!!!! I had better sushi in the grocery store. We had to wait a long time just so the waitress to come to our table with our drinks! And to top it OFF ! Just so we wont be rude we did leave a tip.. BUT the waitress followed us outside and demanded more money for the TIP!!! This was so rude and embaressing!!!! Then service was horrible and the nerve to ask for more tip money. The chairs are old and dirty the enviroment is old and dreadful. I will never ever go back!!!

I had picked up chicken and beef fried rice. The taste of meat was terrible, they probably kept it in a marrinade for the long time or it was too old. We decided to to not eat it, I called back Asian Bistro, and they offered us to bring the food back. They were neither polite nor kind. I spoke to a person who identified himself as Bill, Bill said I can publish images of their dishes in the Interned, so Im doing this. Im sorry, their rice was trashed, but I think it was really dangerous to eat their stuff.

What ever you do dont get the Hibachi Chicken. It was dry and rubbery. 3-4 people didnt eat theirs. We let them know and just got a So Sorry.. The shrimp however was great!!! And for some reason we were freezing- had a cold rush of air constantly blowing in. Fried rice had no veggies just a tiny bit of egg and soy sauce. Much different from a couple of years ago- detect money problems and cutting corners????

My husband and I come here fairly often to get sushi. There are no great sushi restaurants around, but this one is pretty good. I wouldnt say its the best sushi Ive had, but they are consistent and courteous. Its one of our go-to places whenever we have our cravings. We like to sit in the bar area, where there is usually a nice bar crowd. Very rarely is it dead or too packed that you cant get good service.

We went last night for my daughter s B-Day,the next table over was having food thrown at them and missing it, It rolled onto the floor to see a RAT yes a RAT grab the food. My son said mommy did you see that? Yes I did OMG!!!! The people we sat with heard us and said OMG I thought I was going nuts I thought I see that as well before u come. I will Never Ever go again. To bad cuz the food was so good.

Food was good, the place is beautiful. The big downside was the hibachi chef. He was not very entertaining, all he did was spin the utensils and the fire volcano and looked grumpy. For a $100 dinner for 2 I would have liked a little more enthusiasm. Also parking is horrible. They have Valet, but really? I recommend going for the food, but skip the show.

This is one of those places were you walk in and something tells you that you are on the wrong place at the wrong time; smells, menus were dirty and nothing inside this place deserves the name bistro; there are better places in the NYC dirty and crowded Chinatown area that are safer to eat at. Walked out immediately , do not go there!

The specialty rolls at Asian Bistro are absolutely amazing. I have been to a fair amount of sushi restaurants and ABs are by far the most creative and most delicious. When they arrive at your table, they are so beautifully arranged, that you almost dont want to eat it! The fish is always fresh and the wait staff is always friendly!

I always get quality food here and usually I pick up food to go, but when I do sit and dine in, usually I get pretty good service. Todays service was exceptional. I always get either spicy crunchy salmon roll, or pad Thai, or edamames (spicy or regular) or a few others. Everything Ive had Ive been satisfied with.

Employee stole mine and my friends credit card. They tried to rack up a $600 Macys bill. Luckily my credit card company noticed it and shut it down. I will never ever ever go back to this place. Wouldnt recommend anyone going there! If you choose to ignore my warning then use cash!
