Seriously disappointed. Their food has never been the best, and the final time I went there I found snot (or something damned like it) floating right on the top of my coffee. I almost puked and swore never to go back, but its been 2 years so I thought Id give them another try recently. I ordered a tuna melt -- it was pretty good. Not the best, but it was good enough that when I found myself driving past the restaurant today I decided to stop for some takeout. Got a tuna melt again, but this time it was about half a can of tuna fish stuck between two slices of white bread instead of rye, untoasted, with the cheese on the side. Its not a tuna melt if you dont even melt the cheese! Tried eating it anyway, but the tuna was very dry because the bread had sucked all the moisture since it A) wasnt rye bread and B) wasnt properly prepared and toasted. 0/10, will not hit again. P.S. Have photos to prove I found something distinctly snotty all over the surface of the coffee. Was so obvious I couldnt believe the waitress served it to me -- but then I think most of their money comes from the car wash+detailing service they provide at lunchtime behind the building.

This is restaurant has reopened, under new ownership. The menu is the same and there is fresh paint on the wall, however it is not the same. Had breakfast there a few days ago. We got a table quickly, and waited for a server. And, waited....... Enough said. There were two servers and two older women behind the counter, doing nothing! We finally ordered, and got our coffee. Coffee was fine, food came fast. One thing we noticed the bacon was not the same. It is thin and over processed, not the thick bacon we had come to love. After we were done, we asked for the check TWICE, nothing. Finally, went up to the counter, and the two older women had no clue what orders/checks were going on, everything was on the server. Paid the bill, $26 for breakfast, are you kidding me! And, no refill of our coffee. To add insult to injury, when it snows, this place will not be open. Really? Rather go to Valley Diner or Duchesses. Sorry.

I went to the Meeting Place in Seymour Ct. this morning for breakfast with my daughter and grandson. It looked clean and I had eaten there once before and thought that it was O.K. for breakfast. My grandson, who is only 11, ordered eggs, bacon, and toast. He began to eat the toast and said, " Grammy look at this". Both pieces of toast had mold on them. I called over the waitress and she took them from the plate and said, IlI have to tell him", and then walked away. I dont know who " him" was. No one came to the table. I asked for the check and we were charged for the meal and I paid and left. The waitress mumbled "Sorry". I dont know how many other customers were eating moldy white toast. I will never return there and i am concerned that they are keeping their food to long if they are not getting fresh bread. Beware at your own risk!

I visited the Meeting Place over the weekend. The place was sparkling clean and it was so great to see the original owners again! Everything we ordered was great - just like old times. Friendly wait staff and in and out quickly, as we desired. We will definitely be back again!! They even have vegan items on the menu for those looking for that option.

I honestly, wrongfully keep forgetting this place is here when I am going to the movies with my kids. They have great breakfast and lunch items with significant portion sizes. It is only a minute or so down the street from Seymour Entertainment Cinemas. It is a family atmosphere, booth styled diner, with plenty of food choices.

Recently reopened after being closed for some time due to "renovations". Used to love it, but I must say Im slightly disappointed with the changes. Smaller menu, fewer options, less friendly staff (aside from one carryover), and higher prices. Now just another run of the mill diner on the side of the road. A shame really...

Im not sure how you run a diner and dont have rolls or hamburger buns but that was the case on our last trip there. All we wanted was burgers. We were seriously disappointed. They ended up offering us the buns they use for the kid sized burgers that are smaller than the regular adult sized burgers. Ugghhh. Not happy.
