We started with Bombay gin martinis. This was not the first time for us because they are excellently made and very generously sized. The warm bread with olives, hummus and dipping oil worked well as a starter, which they always bring with no additional charge. The salad could have had darker greens, but the dressing was really nice and served on the side, as I requested. For our entre we ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and demi glaze. The meat was perfectly done - mine was medium and my husband had medium-well, not easy to get right. Even the veggies were perfect - not over done or mushy and not too crispy -just right! We have been patrons of The Villa for quite a few years and have always loved it. We chose to go there tonight so that we could support this deserving business. They have had a difficult time since the tragedy in Sandy Hook. So if you are looking for a great restaurant, try The Villa on Riverside Rd.

Our Easter dining experience at The Villa yesterday was horrible. I am not sure why they were even open for Easter! When we arrived there were only about 3 tables with people - the restaurant was empty! We had a 2:30 reservation and, upon our arrival, we were told that we would need to wait as they had to set the table. Things got worse and worse from there: we waited 15 minutes for getting them to pour us some water, 30 minutes for drinks, 45 minutes for salads, 90 minutes for rolls and TWO HOURS before they finally served our meals. I truly wish I was embellishing this time-frame! We didnt leave the restaurant until 5:00 (would not even considered dessert!) During the entire time west there, the owner NEVER offered us anything - NO compliment drink(s), appetizer(s), explanation(s)…... NOTHING!! While our server was very nice, and she tried to be positive and apologized for the "wait", I will never return to The Villa……..

One of our go-to spots for takeout pizza, calzones and burgers. Lunch and dinner dining is great. We especially like the circular room with the cloud ceiling for a night out.. Pasta dishes, fresh veal entrees, and specialties are delicious. Vito and son are welcoming hosts and attend to your every need.

On one of the slowest restaurant nights of the week it takes them 35 minutes to make a small pizza when theres two cars in the parking lot although the food is usually pretty decent I think that that is a ridiculous wait time
