This place used to be the proverbial Pearl of Southington. I dont know what happened, but it is nothing more than a chum bucket. Now. Three beers and three dinners will run you $93.96....before tip. Thats ludicrous pricing for the ambient atmosphere here. It is an absolute dive bar disguised as a restaurant. There were 15 bald drunk firefighters on the patio sucking back Bud heavy bottles, swearing profusely, and yelling about strip clubs while selecting "joke" songs from the juke box inside. Barbie girl, Alvin and the chipmunks, death metal and the like were all blared over the speakers as I tried to choke down my overly priced meal. I was not the only one disturbed by these "gentlemen". There was a family of four (mom/dad/two toddler daughters) that were right in the line of their swears and cigarette smoke. Finally these firefighters all left on their motorcycles, not before revving and peeling out in the parking lot. God bless their little drunken souls. After they left a woman at an adjacent table to ours could be heard cackling and shouting about someone she knows having "bad behavior" and not deserving food stamps. All in all, this place is massively overpriced for what it is. The atmosphere is 100% biker bar while the menu speaks family friendly seafood restaurant. Pick one and stick to it Sam. The actual star earned was for the friendly service albeit slow. Mid quality food, average coldness beer and kitsch decor does not earn you stars, it earns you completely dissatisfied customers.

started off with lobster bisque which was mediocre(at best). Tasted very sweet and no lobster in it besides the lobster that was placed on top of it. Fried scallop basket was delicious, my boyfriend got the fried calamari app. it was served with cocktail sauce instead of marinara.. the cocktail sauce was frozen (both containers that were given), could not ask my waitress for more because she was never around. for a meal he got the fried seafood basket which was pretty good too. The main reason i would not return would be because of the waitress. she was horrible. I couldnt tell you her name because she never told us. I dont know if she was having a bad day or what but she was a complete snot (with a major attitude). Never checked in with us, was never around, never asked if we wanted to refill our drinks. she was thin with dark hair and facial piercings.. not a good waitress at all. I would probably order take out from them because the meals were good, but overall dining experience was not so good.

The food was excellent! Prices were okay. Prepare to pay if you buy the fried whole belly clams, but they are totally worth it. We went for lunch, and they were busy but not packed. Staff was very attentive and helpful. My daughter ordered fried calamari, and it was definitely made in house. The rings were boarding on too big, but it was extremely tasty.

My Favorite Restaurant!! If u havent eaten here run dont walk! U will never have another lobster roll anywhere else ever again! Huge chunks of real lobster meat..hot or cold u cant go wrong..hot roll is not drowned in butter! All seafood is always fresh and the best in CT!!!! Ive been a customer since they first opened!

I had gotten out of work late and starving. Where most places, the kitchen was closed, my roommate told me that Sam the Clamss kitchen closed 1 hour before last call. Food was fantastic, drinks were perfect, and nice friendly workers. I have been a returning customer ever since.

Went here with my sister and her friend and were rudely asked to leave. That they are considered a cabaret and you must be 21 to even be in the building. My sister is the only one of us who had ever eaten there before and is 19. Pretty disappointing and I wont be back.

Was told of great svc and food. Um... Not so much. Svc was very slow,took over 30 min. To get food once ordered then onced recd, it was very greasie. It is more a bar trying to sell food, than a resturant selling alcoholic beverages. Will not go back. :-(

Been coming here since I was a kid. Recently fixed the bubble windows which is a plus. Great for the bar and seafood but not much else. Wouldnt recommend if you dont want anything greasy. One of the only places to serve birch beer!

Quick and friendly service.... we had a fried scallops basket and a fried seafood basket (fish/shrimp/clams/scallops) and a side order of Cole slaw. All delicious, especially the scallops.

Ordered lobster bisque in a bread bowl with mozzarella sticks. The staff were friendly, service was a little slow but good. The food was very good. I would visit again.
