Great Food, Great Catering Service, Great People We had food catered by Veda for my 50th birthday party for around 55 guests. Right from the planning to the execution of our party, JP was very helpful in putting the appetizers and entrees menu for our party. He even invited us to his restaurant and prepared a whole menu for us which we got to sample. His experience and knowledge about catering for events was invaluable. On the day of the party the food was delivered by JP and his chef. They left clear instructions on storing and serving the various appetizers and entrees. The food itself was really really delicious. We had many compliments from our guests. I would wholeheartedly recommend JP and Veda Indian Restaurant for catering for your event.

I am blessed to have eaten great Indian food throughout the world and I have to say that Veda ranks among the best that I have eaten. Its easy to miss this place since it is small and unpretentious, but the owner JP has run many restaurants before and after having two young boys he decided to focus on running just one and all that wonderful experience and talent is focused on this little place that puts out fantastic flavors that will tantalize, delight you, and leave you craving to come back for more! Go to the liquor store next door and buy some beer or a bottle of wine and come here, sit down and let these amazing dishes and flavors dazzle you! I guarantee you will have a five-star experience with the taste and the reasonable prices!

Veda not only has absolutely amazing food but service to match! The owner and his staff are friendly and very helpful if you are not familiar with Indian cuisine. They will make suggestions of what to order as well as answering any questions you may have. So do not hesitate to try a new cuisine if you have not, I promise they will make your first experience very comfortable! We have tried the onion fritters, eggplant appetizer, numerous chicken and lamb entrees, goat biyrani and mango smoothie. All were excellent! No disappointments here. Thanks Brian for the recommendation, we are now Veda advocates!

As an English ex-pat, Im used to being disappointed in the standard of Indian cuisine in the US - spice levels always seem much reduced, and its rare to find a place that serves consistently delicious, clean, and homely Indian food (as I remember growing up in London). Well Veda does it - I am very impressed - the other night we had the Chicken Madras and it was awesome - fresh, moist, bone free chicken, hot spicy and piquant sauce, with a tasty Peshwari Naan alongside. Guys - keep it up.

I gave one star because that is minimum. We visited this place based on rating while traveling from new jersey to ri but it turned out to be big let down. We started by ordering veg appetizers which consist samosa , onion and pakodas. Samosa was stale and stuffing in it was smelling bad. We complained and they replace it but same quality. Quality of food was horrible. They are charging like 5 star hotel but serving in cheap plastic plates. I believe that reviews are paid.

Dont know where to start from. Owner and staff guys stares at women customers like they are not girls, but a chicken that he and his staff will eat. We ordered chicken tikka and chicken was Rubbery and uncooked. Then we wanted to get yogurt; yougurt is free always, but this guy charged us $3 for us. My wife and I am Never going there again. This owner and his staff guys look at women customers like a sexually frustrated hawk

After I have broght others here who have never had Indian food either and have gotten them hooked as well. So thank you for many years of great food and keep up the great work.

Vedas is our favorite Indian take out place in Norwalk! As a chef and someone who grew up in an Indian populated country- this is the best Indian there is in Norwalk. Our favorites are the mulligatawny soup, bhindi amchoor (fried okra), butter chicken (ask for it a lil spicy), and lamb roganjosh. Dont miss this place! Bonus the owner is super nice.

I have visited this place a few times already and each time it was consistently tasty. Lunch portions are good enough and priced just right. Food is served pretty fast. Its a small place and youre getting your food info plastic dishes with plastic utensils, but who cares? I go there for the food and Im getting what Im looking for.

Totally love the food here, I would say the real Indian taste rarely available around the region. My favourites are the Kati-rolls, would love it if they have more types of fillings available for those. The service is very good, the take-out packaging is very organized, can pick up a lunch-bowl for school or work.

I have a been a regular customer for the last 6 months and the one things I can vouch for is the consistency of the taste and quality. No short cuts in food preparation and you have excellent options for vegetarian and non vegetarian taste buds. The best place to have Indian food in the neighborhood.

Just been last night here for dinner. It surpassed my expectations. The USP of the restaurant is the TASTE! The madras fish curry we had was too delicious and quite unique in taste! It was a real treat to the tongue. If you are craving for real Indian taste; this is a must visit place.

Place was small. Not enough space to sit on a table. Food was kinda microwaved not freshly made. Chicken was so hard. I can taste that it was not freshly made food. I dont think so there was a restroom because to wash your hands you will be provided wet towels. Should be improved more .

Have been coming to this place for over an year now and have never been disappointed by the food. Everything that I tried was really good. The lunch box is amazing, you can choose from any curry which is a lot of options and the quantity is enough for an adult. Love this place.

A great place for quick and tasty takeout...they have a few tables to eat-in but thats not really the point. I recommend the chicken kashmiri and their naan. They have a really good deal for lunch specials too. The service is always quick, but not always overly friendly.
