Three Sheets is my favorite bar in New Haven. They throw themed parties from time to time and the staff is always super-friendly. They have an excellent rotating draught beer selection with some great regional breweries (Black Hog, Hooker, and Captain Lawrence to name a few). Their spirits are adequate, if leaning towards mid-shelf. Their food, though, is out - of - this - WORLD. One of the best burgers in Connecticut, great jalapeno poppers, and excellent bahn mi. Seriously, I was very pleasantly surprised by their food - its MUCH better than I was expecting. Its a small place and fills up quickly, so get there early!

You know when you feel like the only hot dog in the blender and things are just going the way it goes? Like, youre proud to be in the blender... youre that hanging pickle that everyone feels the way they feel about? Thats kind of like Three Sheets but also a little bit of that feeling you get when you take the wrong exit on a long drive to Tulsa . You know what I mean. I love Three Sheets!!

Super cool, comfortable bar with cute bartenders and a great tap list, and what appears to be great food based on how many people were eating and my own perusal of the menu. But as expected, it becomes animal House most nights and definitely weekends so be wary.

This is the best bar in New Haven. The staff is family. The shots are 4 bucks if you drink well. The food is excellent. Ive been all over New Haven and the only place I want to go back to is Three Sheets.

Surprisingly good burgers. Decent but not amazing mixed drinks. Has a billiards table. Probably the most dive bar-ish place in New Haven. If thats what youre looking for then go here.
