The food is excellent! The fact that you choose your own ingredients makes makes sure you only get what you want. Some advice: 1) skip the salad bar. Though it is very fresh, its not really why you came here, right? 2) despite the way the buffet is organized start with putting your proteins on your plate first. This is usually the last thing you get, but if you pile your plate high with veggies, the proteins will just slide off. If you get them first, as they are flat, you can put veggies on top easily. 3) dont be shy about piling stuff on your plate. It will cook down, and the serving plate the put your food on at the end is much bigger. 4) mix sauces! The sauces are all pretty good on their own, but the flavors you can get from combining them can be even better. 5) bring your kids. Childrens prices are reasonable, and the fact that they choose their own mix of ingredients AND get to watch someone cook them is a win-win situation. My five year old was entranced, and ate everything on her plate. She isnt a really picky eater, but getting her to finish her food can be a challenge. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something that is a little out of the ordinary, but with familiar flavors.

I really like the idea that you pick out your own raw meats, veggies and sauces and deliver it to the grillmasters. They grill everything on a hot metal round grill which looks to be about 6 or 7 feet in diameter with a hole in the center. It is a pretty unique setup. They have stations set up around the grill numbered from 1 to (I think) 16 and you bring your plate of uncooked food up in the order in which you arrive. They have a tip jar just in case you want to tip the grillmasters. Your food is usually done within about 3-5 minutes. One of the best parts is that it is all you can eat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the service from the "waitresses" is not very friendly or good in my experience. But you have little interaction with them.

This place is great. When you walk in you get seated, get drinks (which are strong!) And head over to the buffet line. There, you pick the ingredients that youd like, with a huge range of assorted veggies, meats and sauces. Youll head to the grill where they cook it all up for you, throw in your sauce and present you with a fresh cooked dish. Theres so many combinations of food that can be made, and small portions are recommended so you can try a little bit if everything. Be aware, theres pork, eggs, and lots of allergens that they mix up on the grill and they all use the same spatulas, a little bit of cross contamination might happen. So keep that in mind!

Gobi Grill is always a fun place to eat. Primarily it is an all-you-can-eat place, where you select your food from the buffet area and bring it to the cooking grill. Skilled artisans then cook the meal right in front of your eyes. The chefs are skilled, make no mistake about that and if you alert them to a food allergy, they will handle that situation correctly. The food is good - not gourmet, but good, tasty and a nice establishment!

My family has gone here numerous times. Adults and children all love being able to choose exactly which vegetables, noodles, meats, seafood & sauces, as well as the quantities of each, that we want to eat. The variety of selections is large & diverse, not to mention...delicious! The salad bar is great, too...and capping dinner off with a homemade sundae, pudding, fruit (or a little bit of each) puts a smile on everybodys face!

Gobi has a nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. I like the hibachi style and I like that you get to pick exactly what you want in your meal. Its a good deal, and it tastes good of you create the right combination of meats and sauces. There are plenty of options to experiment with, which makes dining here fun. Its very good food, and for the price you really cant go wrong.

This by far has got to be my favorite spot in the bristol/southington area. Prices are a little high, but you get an amazing buffet that has every type of meat you can think of (lamb, chicken, pork, beef, scallops, clam, muscles, fish...) I love going here and I hope they do not change a thing!

Like a buffet only cooler. Those guys behind the counter working the grill work their butts off and make some awesome food. You sit down and order drinks, you go to the buffet and get what you want and they cook it right there. Sooooo many options. Like a hibachi grill plus buffet.

Great experience and the food is great, I love the Mongolian grill style when we cant agree on what we want, with the variety of items they have everyone can build entirely different plants and even my picky kids can find something they like

Fresh ingredients and a nice place to eat. The drinks are a bit on the strong side but the food rocks! You make your plate with what you want to eat, vegetables, meats, spices and sauces. They then cook it on a hot grill in front of you.

Fantastic and unique dining experience. Enjoy the full Asian inspired buffet, picking out your favorite veggies, meats, and sauces. Then bring it all to the flat top Mongolian grill, where it will be cooked and prepared in minutes.

This is a favorite with my kids. Its the only Mongolian barbeque in the area. Love that you can create your own food. Ambience is nice and service is great. Food is fresh and there are a lot of choices for everyone!!
