The ambience is decent and I like the attempt at making this place a burger bar, but theyre not fooling anyone, its a restaurant. Aside from the extremely tasteless meat hooks with light bulbs, I had no complaints. Menus are straightforward and simple, with enough selection to please anyone. Prices are fair, with burgers about $2 to $3 dollars more than similar burger establishments. However, based on the grass fed, cruelty free, beef alone, I think that warrants the price. Beer selection is also exceptional with many high quality brews that you rarely find at restaurants, e.g., Allagash, DFH, etc. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and was perfectly done. I suggest ordering "pink" as opposed to "no pink." Overdoing this beef is sacrilege. Didnt have a single complaint about the burger and it was easily the best Ive had in quite a long time. Service was also good. Although they were busy our waitress was very attentive. Overall I was very happy with my visit and plan on making many more visits here. Just on the quality of the burgers alone, I dont think anything nearby can even compete. EDIT: Pretty much done with this place after many visits and a consistent inability to cook burgers right. I havent had a properly cooked burger here in ages. Burgers are unevenly cooked and are bone dry. Has gone way downhill since opening. Its not rocket science guys, every single burger coming off the line should be identical and perfect. Management needs to get their act together.

I went there once, and the burger they brought out to me was substantially smaller than everyone elses around me. I brought this to their attention and was told they are all weighed the same. I insisted that they only need to LOOK at my burger with their eyes to see the difference. All the other burgers had the beef patty covering the bottom bun. But my burger had the patty much smaller than the bun. They did nothing to remedy this situation. So I refused the burger. About six months later I went there with a friend and described the experience to her. As I ordered, I mentioned to the waitresses my earlier disappointment. They then bring me out another undersized burger! I point this out immediately. The manager gets involved and assures me they are all weighed the same. Even as I compare it to my friends burger side by side. They just insist they are all the same. My friend even cant believe they refuse to see the glaring difference. Again. I refuse the burger. I only go there occasionally now to have a bourbon and tell the bartender how much their burgers suck. This place is more like my Plan P.

went during happy hour and sat downstairs...ordered the happy hour sliders only to find out when the bill came they werent available downstairs and were charged 11.99 instead of their $3 advertisement for happy hour sliders. The waitress said we could have ordered the one slider that is for happy hour which is when i pointed out on their own advertisement it said plural sliders with and s. She acted like we were idiots . also when i ordered a beer off her handwritten list with no prices on it she neglected to tell me it was $8 for the beer...the managements deceptive practices will keep me from ever going into this franchise again. P.S the $12 lobster roll came in a mini hot dog bun cut in half save your hard earned $ dont go.

Place is class. We were seated downstairs. Initially, I was extremely disappointed by the pole blocking my view of the college softball game, but was pleasantly surprised to see a cleverly placed mirror that allowed me to view the enthralling contest. My only complaint was that the menu was a little tricky. I wasnt exactly sure what made the "fancy fries" so fancy; anyway, my pupils eventually found their way to the "breakfast burger," and it was love at first sight. Also, Im not sure why, but they put cucumbers on the table as a snack. Strange! The food in the end was delicious. The ambience was delightful. The bathrooms were spectacular. No other complaints. Great little place: plan on coming here the next time Im in Simsbury!

Fresh ground meats, innovative flavors and fresh bread add up to some of the best burgers in New England. Plan B also boasts a very good bourbon selection and limited, but strong selection of fresh beers on tap. The settings is a turn of the last century railroad station recognized on the National Historical Register. There is limited seating available outside. The best place to sit as a family or for quiet conversations is the cellar, which is a few degrees cooler than the bar area. Beer sampling is allowed before you make your selection. As for sides, dont miss the truffle fries - which are tender, crispy and have that wonderful of truffle oil. Bring an appetite, you will want to eat it all!

Popped in for happy hour, upper room/bar already full, its a tiny place! Cute spot, but the whole place can get very loud very quickly, not the spot for an intimate dinner. Nice beer selections, food took a while but it was piping hot. Server checked in w me regularly, which I appreciated. Main entrance is very unclear, had to follow some other folks who knew where they were going. Would have appreciated some form of sign telling me where to enter, considering I parked in the back parking lot. Prefer Plan B WH or Glastonbury, but for its size, the Simsbury location seems popular.

Plan B Simsbury used to be a 5 star restaurant but after my latest dinner there tonight I have to downgrade to 2 stars. First, they are cutting costs big time. No more ketchup, mustard and napkins on the table. You are now given little portions of ketchup and have to ask for a portion of mustard while your food gets cold. They no longer give pickles with burgers at this place either. The hamburger rolls were not as fresh as they used to be, mine was hard. Plan B seems to be going downhill, sad because it used to be my favorite.

Love Plan B in West Hartford, but went here the other night and had a bad experience. Ordered one app and four entrees. One entree came out with the app, then the other entrees followed 15 minutes later. The 2 burgers were both ordered without cheese and both came out with cheese...another 15 minutes to fix it. They did take the meals off the ticket but the server made excuses saying she was tired and it was a simple mistake. Wont go back to this location. Ive been a server and bartender for years, you dont make excuses!

The food here is AMAZING, and the french fries are also one of my favorites. If you sit upstairs it may get quite loud. I always request a seat downstairs. If you plan on going, please do yourself a favor and do not go on saturday at prime dinner time. There WILL be a line to be seated and on particularly busy days, you can wait upwards of 45 minutes. Also, WIFI! There is free wifi, and its no joke. It is very reliable and you can even stream videos (on good days) if you please.

After waiting almost an hour for our food and being totally forgotten about, our burgers came out. My chili burger tasted fine until maybe 3 bites in when I got into the fresh, seeded jalapenos which had no business being a burger topping. I thought I was going to die, my mouth hurt so bad. The burger was replaced, but the taste buds were shot, along with any chance of us going back to this restaurant. Nice place, but bad experience. Too bad, because I wanted to like it.
