As a vendor, "DJ/Photo Booth Business", Its All About You DJ Services, LLC, we were extremely impressed with every aspect of the Wedding Event that we just facilitated at this venue, August 26, 2017. This was our first time working at this venue, so we had no idea what the experience would be like. The food was AMAZING, especially the Pierogies !!! The staff were very helpful in accommodating our company, as well as all the guests. As a vendor we get to see what happens behind the scenes and sit back and watch how their events are facilitated and let me tell you, they are RIGHT ON POINT!!! We work at 100s of venues in CT, so we know what we are talking about. In fact, we just signed up for a Bridal Expo at this venue they are hosting on October 15, 2017 because we like this venue that much! All that said, the person we MUST give the KUDOS to is their EVENT PLANNER, AMANDA CRISCITELLI; SHE IS AMAZING AND RIGHT ON POINT!!! In our 30 years experience, we can tell you that when an event is excellently executed; whether it be with the food, timeline, cleanliness, etc., it ALWAYS has to do with the Event Planner. Amanda is PROFESSIONAL, ARTICULATE & EXPERIENCED!!!! Old Country Banquet is lucky to have such a person representing their business and executing their events. What an asset she is to their business. The great execution of any event is so important, especially a Wedding Event because you dont have a chance to redo it. It is so important to get it right and give each and every couple Memories of a Lifetime. Amanda does just that and understands how every detail matters. We will be recommending this venue to our potential clients going forward. Nice job Amanda and keep up the Great Work!!!!

I was there this weekend for a graduation party. The banquet hall was very roomy and well lit with a pretty good view of the surrounding area. The stairs leading up to the hall were on the steep side so someone with difficulties getting around may need some extra help up the stairs. Now the food, I will say without a doubt some of the best chicken cacciatore I have ever eaten. The potatoes, fettuccine, and veggies were of a high quality as well but that chicken caught my attention. Coffee was surprisingly good, usually coffees at large venues are pretty bland, not here. Their people on the floor were very polite, someone came by to clear a plate near me that my son wasnt completely done with yet. When I requested he leave it he politely stepped back then apologized for trying to take it. I was surprised he apologized for that as it did look like we werent using it anymore, I guess it goes to show the level of politeness from their servers. I would happily go back for another event.

The Old Country Deli makes HOME made golabkis that are absolutely delicious, just like my grandma used to make although I can only admit to that online because she can’t use the computer. Being born in Poland and raised on good quality food it was very difficult to find a suitable Polish dining food location here in USA, but The Old Country Deli delivered. This location is small but it does have 2 tables to sit down and eat at if one so desires. The lady behind the desk, Klaudia, is very polite and eager to help! She also speaks polish along with many other employees which makes for perfect practice for someone like myself who doesn’t want to lose the ability to speak the language. I recommend The Old Country Deli to anyone who lives in the area. From fries and chicken wings to BLT grinders and even a great variety of pierogis The Old Country Deli has something to accommodate anybody. Thank you for your great service guys! And see you soon!!

Lousy and Rude service. I had a Living social voucher. Since I do not live in the area. I went to website and looked for closing hour, so I could leave work early to get there before they close. I got there at around 15 minutes before they closed. The server said she closed "Kitchen" and couldnt make me anything. The "Kitchen" is a bench with a toaster oven. I called Living Social and told them what they did, and got a full credit, as they agreed they should not close kitchen early when website says they close at 6:00. Worked out for best, as I was glad to get money back. This place seemed like a dump.

The owner is actually the chef who has worked in kitchens all over the world. Check his blog. if you are into healthy food. You got to taste his mashed potatoes, they are more buttery than potatoes and his vegetarian lasagna is out of this world. Its filled with fried zucchini and cheese, nothing but healthy stuff. Amanda and Sasha take care of you from the start to the finish, from the color of the chair bows and up-lights, to the timing of walking down the stairs to the ballroom. Everything went so smoothly and worry free.

They bake their own roast beef for the grinders and the 8 inch pound heavy cold cuts grinder with smoked ham, the garlicy homemade roast beef and genoa, with polish mustard - it is a meat lovers dream. They have all kinds of deli cheeses like swiss, provolone, polish cheese, so you can create your own masterpiece. They will heat it up, fry some fresh onions or peppers right there. You cant beat that for $4 bucks. Yes, you wait ten minutes for a grinder, but you can always call before.

The best place to have a party ! We had our wedding here in 2014 and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my wedding was perfect. People still tell me the food was amazing and what a wonderful time they had! We also enjoy going to the dances they host every few months and we always have a blast- the band is consistently entertaining and food as always 5 star. Highly recommend !

We celebrated on 1-1-16 our daughter’s wedding reception here and were so very satisfied with the top quality food that was served and cooked to perfection...from the Pierogi to the Cabbage Rolls , the service is outstanding...we would highly recommend to all. Thank you everyone there for all your help and overseeing that everything went perfectly.

The first time I tasted there pastrami grinder, I was hooked on it,it is delicious, since then I have tried there kielbasa and there golabki,every time I went there they served me with a smile and were very helpful in explaining what Polish food taste like. This was my first experience with Polish food, it is delicious. Keep up the good work.

I ate lunch at the deli, then went to a wedding upstairs in the evening. The venue is great. It is an old hall with high tin ceilings. The food was awesome and the people were really nice. It was the most well executed event Ive ever been to. They were standing by to keep everything moving for each phase of the evening.

Ive hired these guys for several events in the city - an extremely professional, hardworking, good-looking waitstaff and they offer a variety of delicious and fun food options. They will work with you on your menu to fit any budget, and really open to any kind of event execution. Highly recommend them.
