Heres one of the major "delis" in Hartford. I ask for russian dressing on my roast beef sub - - answer : we dont have any. You mean today? No, not ever. (Any thought about mixing for me right there? . . . of course not idiot, this is Hartford). I come back to the counter and ask if they have any desserts (cookies, rice pudding, something). Answer: just what we have on the counter (i.e., pre-packaged candy). Ah Hartford, most everything sucks because the locals have never been anywhere, know nothing and live in their pathetic little worlds.

What a huge, amazing sandwich! For under $6 youll get something twice the thickness of a Subway footlong, and at least 3 times as good. On top of the normal every day sandwiches they have daily specials like buffalo chicken, chicken cutlet, etc. If youre in the mood for a great, cheap sandwich then Cornerstone is the place to be.

Good place, got some great prices given the portion size of food. Line is really difficult though, and since you cant order ahead or anything you only bet is to get there early (they will still have a line). Cant be helped given the popularity though.

Great little place for a great lunch. The lines can be intimidating, but the staff is great at making them move quickly. Their food is good, portions are genrous and the prices are more than fair.

I think the Cornerstone is great and Ive never eaten their meat things, because Im a vegetarian. But I must say, the line can be daunting, so time your visit accordingly.
