My wife and I were new to town so we decided to give this restaurant a try. We enjoyed the atmosphere, especially with the live blues band playing. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was quite good. The style is more "Tex-Mex" then pure "Mexican". The portions were big enough to take some home. They also have their own brand of hot sauces, of which the "chipotle" sauce was a personal favorite. The only drawback from my point of view was the prices. They were a bit expensive for what was being offered. I do look forward to stopping by again however. I would give 3.5 stars if the rating widget would allow it.

We attended a small private party with a cash bar. The food served was great although not as spicy as some would like. I prefer food that is not so spicy that you cannot taste what you are eating, for me it was just right. The chicken wings were to die for. We had a selection of appetizers and chimi changas. Everything was wonderful. The drinks were another story. We had margaritas. They were fair at best (believing there is no such thing as a bad margarita ) but VERY over priced. Cost for 2 was $18.60 I would go back for the food but Ill ask for water.

GREAT no frills experience. Food was GREAT!....Service GREAT...Wait staff cordial and friendly and very much "family oriented". I like to feel welcomed to an establishment...I felt like they appreciated our patronage and made us to feel at home....they even sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY in Spanish to a pretty little girl at the next table with sombrero and clapping...Thank you all for an enjoyable evening...first time there, BUT definitely... NOT my last!!....THIS is a PATRON FRIENDLY PLACE.....

Local Mexican restaurant with good food and friendly staff. The owner is frequently in the restaurant and is always friendly and checking in to see if all our needs are met. My favorite dish is the taco and jalapeño poppers combo; I get shredded chicken tacos one soft and one crunch though you can choose ground beef as an option. The guacamole is made fresh and is always delicious. Weve been coming since we moved to town and love to bring our visitors.

I will never go back or ever encourage anyone in there right mind to eat here. If you want the best mexican in CT go to Groton And eat at ORTEGAS it might seem like you are driving to Mexico , but your taste buds and wallet will thank you. Although the price was cheap the food was extremely bland and it took entirely to long for the food to get to the table. Eat here at your own risk but this joint gets a big UNSAT with me and my fam.

This place does not use seasoning at all. I am not exaggerating. My beef taco tasted like a hamburger that just happened to be in a taco shell, and my girlfriends fish taco tasted like a typical fish sandwich. Absolutely no mexican flavors incorporated into their food at all. Just because you put something in a tortilla does not make it mexican cuisine. Steer clear of here, there are MUCH better places nearby.

Blonde Waiter was rude and stand-offish. He argued with us about drinks. And flipped us the bird. Our food took 25 minutes to come out, it was cold. Its totally not worth coming here. Ive had better service and food. Food service is better in Massachusetts anyway. Peace✌

We have been going to Loco for years. Food has alwasy been great and the best margaritas in the area. The atmosphere is warm and freindly, especially during the cold months, with 2 fireplaces going. Best ribs EVER!!!!!

The waiter apologized to me when he handed me the bill since the food was so bad and took so long. Two hours for a couple of really bad burritos and tacos with a couple of beers for fourty bucks. End of story.
