Nothing worse than a place forgetting your order and then overcharging you, and couldnt be bothered to apologize. I ordered two egg and cheese sandwhiches and a side of home fries. When I arrived they could not find my order so they put it in and had me wait. When it was time to pay it was 18 bucks which is high for the order and so when I looked at my receipt I saw a charge for an omlet, 2 coffees , and one sandwich .The girl who overcharged me didnt even apologize she actually walked away and another employee who knew what they were doing cant over to help and refund me. This place ONLY had kids under 16 working there , there were no adults or managers and it was clear through the horrible job they were doing that these children are not capable of serving food. Worst breakfast pick up I have ever experienced hands down.

I dont understand how people are giving one star reviews of this place... I chop that up to someone either being super picky or someone who is unsatisifed with everything. My future brother in law is vegan and he brought me here a few weeks back. Im not sure what I was initially expecting but when we walked in I was very surprised. They had meat on the menu and really any breakfast item you could want. I ended up ordered crepes that had berries and Nutella on it/in it. They were awesome. He had the almond chocolate smoothie which he could have because of the type of chocolate used. The smoothie looked really good and Im ready to try it when I go back. The coffee smelt delicious. They were busy when we went but we didnt wait that long and everything was clean. Ill definitely be coming back to support this business!

WENT DOWNHILL! I have been to this place on numerous occasions way back to when it first opened. Today I stopped in for a quick breakfast to go. I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a hard roll, which I have ordered in the past and was always good. Today it was a mess. It came on a cheap, soggy, grocery store, bread aisle packaged roll. It was by no means a fresh hard roll. Look, I get it maybe they ran out of the normal fresh rolls, but then they need to say something and I will order something else off the menu. Also the eggs were under cook, and the whole thing overall was gross. For a place that claims fresh, organic, local this is a joke. Their are plenty of good bakeries they can get hard rolls from. Maybe I got the hipster gluten free option by mistake. I definitely wont be going back.

Were regulars at Perk! Its hard to say what I like best. The crepes are delicious and my favorite drink is a dirty chai tea. They buy from local farms and use fair-trade coffee. There are vegetarian options, and you can ask about the gluten-free items. Perk also composts food scraps, napkins, and nearly everything else they provide. The owner Katie also gets electricity through renewable sources. They are environmentally and socially responsible, as well as make delicious food. Perk is #MyHappyPlace !

So close to a week before Perk On Main opened in Middletown, I was at another local coffee shop and I told the person working that their coffee shop was my favorite on Main Street. Well, since Perk on Main opened I havent been to any of the other coffee shops in Middletown. There is just no need to. The coffee is great, the crepes are great, the burritos are great, the prices are great, and the staff is great. I go there, easily, two or three times a week (which is a lot for me).

Crepes! Thought this place was just a coffee house. What a nice surprise. Love the zesty chicken with vadalia onion dressing. Have used them to cater a party too. Was a hit with the guests. Only complaint is there pickles taste like cucumbers and their smoothies are a bit to tart for my liking. Cant go wrong with the classic. They occasionally have music and allow for byob (liquor store next door).

Just tried the most delicious maple pecan danish at Perk on Church in Guilford. The staff warmed it up and it was the best danish I have ever eaten! Dont be fooled by the name, Perk is more of a creperie in the French tradition than a coffee shop. The lunch and dessert crepe menu was very creative and I cant wait to bring my family here!

Perk on Main is THE local breakfast nook. Specialty drinks, wraps and breakfast sandwiches are good, but the real star is the crepes, in savory and sweet varieties in all kinds of flavors. Also lovely outside seating. They hire locally, usually a bunch of kids out of school, so the quality can fluctuate a bit. But they are very nice.

Not the same as it used to be. Crepes were dry, hard, and over cooked. The home fries were sitting out there and looked like cold cut up potatoes. Smoothies were not correct and blended properly.

Not bad but also not great. Service was beyond excellent but the quality of the food was below what I would find in my kitchen. I feel bad giving this rating because the service was so good.

Just because they focus on crepes and wraps, dont pass over the Beef Chili. It is one of the best I have had. The menu is a good value, nice meeting place and always clean and friendly.

Nice local coffee and crepe shop in a small town. Very comfortable in there, you feel welcome to stay as long as you wish. Cheap refills on your coffee!

Food was good, but overpriced for portions. Would recommend, but if you are driving through you can find better in other towns and get better prices.

This place is awesome. Great people, great food, well run and not some crappy chain that CT seems to be littered with.

Good food, but rather pricey. When they have live music its usually a local group, which is always interesting.
