This place is a hidden gem located in a small, local bookstore that is already a hidden gem in Madison. The staff are very friendly and hard-working. The meals and the coffee are great. My wife and I have stopped here for food several times, and Ive tried several different things. Their salads are fresh and delicious, and my personal favorite item was their chipotle chicken flat. A few weeks ago, my wife and I also got delicious, holiday themed lattes. I highly recommend this place, whether for a quick drink and muffin, or for a lunch.

Last spring, my daughter and I took a trip to Hamden to look at colleges and on the way back, we stopped at this bookstore and had a bite to eat in the café. The store is very quaint and homey, the staff very helpful and friendly, the café is also staffed with friendly people and the food is great. Every time I pick her up at school to bring her home, we try to stop in for a bite to eat. It has become a favorite place for both of us. I highly recommend it.

This little cafe is quite a surprise. A little jewel hidden amid wonderful tomes, it has far more to offer than most would imagine. A wonderful variety of iced teas wash a palate satiated with scrumptious foods only to be followed by an array of some of the best recent literature.

Cafe in the back of a popular bookstore. Both come across a bit too full of themselves, perhaps reflecting the true nature of Madison beyond the Miller house. But the coffee is good, even though it only comes in one size.
