Im sorry to have to write this, but our experience tonight was unacceptable. I have been here many times and have always loved the food, the atmosphere is good, and service is usually fine, but again, great food. After having raved about this to my mom for so long, we finally got the chance to go together. When being seated, my mom politely let the server know that she has a gluten allergy (not just being on the gluten train- she has a true allergy which leaves her very sick when exposed). We ordered an appetizer and dinners, the appetizer being their eggplant fries. The eggplant fries specifically say on the menu next to the title of the appetizer "Gluten Free" - there is no maybe about it - it specifically states that they are gluten free. After enjoying the appetizer and commenting on how we couldnt believe how good it was for being gluten-free, we complimented the waitress. She thanked us and was on her way. Moments later, she came back to the table and told us that -surprise! It was not actually gluten free! She was nice and apologetic and mentioned that they had recently changed the recipe, but that was it. (Why on earth was this not changed on the menu?! Even if the change was that morning, have someone cross off "Gluten Free" on the menus or something, anything to let allergic peiple know!) At this point, a look of panic came over my mothers face, knowing she was now in for a world of trouble, yet she remained polite as she always does. I spoke up, trying to impart what a serious problem this is, but the waitress just smiled and was on her way, saying shed mention it to the manager. Well, the manager never came over to apologize or talk to us and eventually, our dinners came out, at which time, I asked the waitress again that she was sure my mothers meal was gluten free. She assured us it was and having tasted it myself, I believe it was. During this time, we politely mentioned that we hoped the non-gluten free appetizer would not be charged and the waitress very hesitantly said she wasnt sure if they would do that, left the table and it was never mentioned again... what?! Is this okay by anyones standards? When the bill came, there was no mention or apology for such a massive mistake, though the falsely advertised app was not on the bill (if you ask me, my moms dinner also should not have been on the bill either... but what can you do). We quickly finished our meal and did our best to leave without making a fuss, but everything about that was wrong. Any place with a respectable manager/owner would have come over immediately when learning about such an issue and sincerely apologized with offering to make things right. We are not the complaining type, but this is a massive mistake that will leave someone with severe stomach pains and bathroom problems for days on end while the gluten attacks her system. If this were an obvious allergy attack, like for instance a nut allergy that required an epipen, would they just shrug it off too? This is not okay. While its not my personal burden to bear, Im not sure I can go back to a place that cares so little for the product they put out or the people they serve.

Dining with my hubby since we thought this would be a great Italian place, so why not check it out right?? Should have really good pastas, and Italian desserts. We were very WRONG. First, to say our waitress was horrible, she never came back once to ask us how are terrible meals were. The pasta that my husband ordered the "rigatoni boscaiola" I believe with sausage was horrible, but our waitress suggested it and said it was "awesome". The sausage looked liked a kid cut it up in flat circles, no flavor, especially when my husband requested it to be spicy. My breaded fish was horrible, one of the specials, I could have got a better sandwich from McDonalds. The desserts might look good, but they were stale . For the price you pay here, the service was terrible and the food was not up to par.

A good, all around Italian restaurant with a nice variety of items to choose from. I havent had the pizza, but it looks tasty and must be good because on a weekday night, theres a constant flow of people coming in and out for takeout. The meals are prepared and presented in an artful manner, which adds to the cozy and warmly lit atmosphere. They often have live music here too, which is a real bonus. This is definitely a step up from the chain restaurants and a great place to hang out and relax while talking with friends or family after a wonderful meal. After writing this review, it makes me want to go out and eat there right now.

Overpriced, Can be rude, but food is typically high quality. Ive been several times and the experience has been inconsistent. Sometimes, Im perfectly pleased. Other times, the waitress slams down the food and orders people near her to hand the food to the people. Some times, the meats are delicious. Other times, the meats have obviously been partially exposed in the fridge and half of each piece is dried like leather. But it is ALWAYS overpriced. Manhattan prices in Rocky Hill - yeah, right. You can spend as much at Chucks steak house and have a much better meal.

It was a mistake to accept Zagats good rating of Pazzos Cafe in Rocky Hill, CT on Route 3!! Ordered the Delmonico Steak featured on the Special Menu for dinner. After 2 bites realized meat portion inedible. Was informed by chef via waitress as well as the manager in person that Delmonico steak is gristle and fat "so what do you want us to do about it?". If you want to have gristle and fat for over $26 be my guest and eat there. If you want to be insulted by a rude manager, by all means go to Pazzo Cafe in Rocky Hill. AMRH

Horrible service, it took almost one hour to get food. The waitress was extremely unpleasant, rude and unapologetic. We asked for an extra topping which she forgot to add and when asked about it , she bought it in a plate An extra topping is 4 bucks Horrible experience

The smell and the atmosphere when you enter will instantly prove to you that this is a true, authentic Italian joint. The brick oven smells fantastic, the antipastos are amazing and the bar area is full of positive energy. Highly recommended.

This place has really gone downhill. Had the Calamari with red sauce. One heaping tablespoon of calamari that must have cooked for days in thte sweetest sauce I ever had. What happened to this place?

A very upscale, local restaurant that offers live music often. The same familiar faces remember you when you walk in. I would like to see the specials change a bit more often though.

Food was really really delicious. A little pricey but will probably never go back because of the service. Mainly one of the bar tenders, he was rude and over the line with my date.

Shame the Glastonbury location closed, preferred that one. Menu here is almost the same and so far the food and drink and on par and lovely. Worth a visit if youre in the area.
